Chapter 10 (Removing traces)

Someone approached Alan with hasty steps

"Master forgive me, that guy managed to obliterate the evidence and remove the traces. He knows we're suspecting him." Detective Alan's hired gives a report.

"Is Farhan really the brains of my father's murder?"

"Right sir, but he's obliterated the second piece of evidence."

"What's he doing?"

"He obliterated the cctv footage inside the cafe xx while talking to the executor. But the first evidence, in the form of cctv recordings outside when he entered the cafe, I have secured. 5 Minutes later, the executor also entered the cafe."

"Keep watching him, you'll need to get more evidence soon. I'll take care of the rest."

"Okay sir, do you suspect Kevin Sanjaya's involvement here?"

"I don't know, but if she's involved, Melisa's life is in danger. If he dares to help my sister, I'll crush him without a trace." Clenched both of his hands.

Elsewhere, there are two lovebirds who are drunk on love. Melisa and Kevin. They spend time together all day.

"Where else have we been watching?" Said Kevin after coming out of the cinema while holding Melisa's hand.

"How about we visit Farhan's father? It's been a while since we've been to his house, hasn't it?" Melisa felt longed for her father-in-law. Farhan was considered to be his own father.

"All right, we're going there now." Kevin agreed to his wife's request.

Arriving at Farhan's house, Melisa looks so happy. He hugged his father-in-law with teary eyes.

"Hey why are you crying? You said you wanted to visit Farhan's father? Kevin removes the remaining tears that are still attached to Melisa's eye patch.

"If Jhonatan's father were still around." Back to crying, and this time added a sobbing sound. He was still so hurt when he remembered that day. The day that someone took his father's life with a firearm before his own eyes.

"Haven't cried, there's Farhan's father and me here. We will always love you like Jhonatan's father loved you, right?

"Benar kata Kevin, berhentilah menangis. Anggap saja aku sebagai ayah kandungmu. Dengan begitu kau tidak akan merasa kehilangan sosok ayah di dalam hidupmu." Dengan tanpa merasa berdosa ucapan itu keluar begitu saja dari mulut Farhan.

Melisa could only nod her head in response. Kevin embraced and tried to calm his wife. While Farhan chooses to return to his room and let them both.

Meanwhile in the living room there is Maya who comes to meet Kevin. He wanted to find out why the person he loved did not come to campus for a few days. Although in reality Kevin only considered him as a friend.

"Kevin where's bik?" Maya asks the housekeeper at Farhan's residence.

"Mr Kevin is in her room, miss."

Maya runs into Kevin's room without asking permission. He was indeed very familiar with Farhan and considered this house like his own home.

"Miss don't go there."

Maya's steps stopped. He felt that there was something strange because he was used to going in and out of this house, even to Kevin's room freely without anyone taking issue.

"Why? Maya asked while frowning.

"Mr Kevin is with his wife."

"What's? Wife? Since when did he get married? Why didn't he tell me? You're not kidding, are you? Without expecting an answer he immediately ran towards Kevin's room. He wanted to hear a straight answer from Kevin's mouth.

"What is this Vin? who's she?" Without guilt for going into someone else's room while being with his wife.

"May's? What are you doing, you should have knocked on the door first if you went in somebody's room."

"You haven't answered my question, who is that woman?" Appointing Melisa who was silent because she was confused by the situation created.

"She's my wife."

"Why are you hiding something so important to me. You don't think I'm a friend anymore?"

"I didn't mean to hide my marriage. Well, since you already know, meet Melisa, my wife."

"Hi, I'm Melisa." Stretched his hand.

"I'm Maya." Shaking Melisa's hand with a wry smile.

"We're just talking downstairs, brother." Melisa who was uncomfortable with this situation chose to take them to the living room.

Arriving in the living room Kevin leaves them for receiving a phone call.

"How old are you? Maya asked with a hateful look.

"17 brother."

"You're still in school?" back asking. More precisely interrogating Melisa.

"Yes, I'm in 11th grade at the IPA."

"It turns out you're still a snot kid. I'm telling you Kevin's type is an adult woman whose age isn't far from him."

"What does it mean to talk like that?"

"Me and Kevin have been friends for a long time. I know what he looks like. If she's married to a snot like you, it's definitely because there's something."

"God knows we love each other."

Suddenly Kevin came to make the conversation of the two stop.

"Honey let's go home, your brother called and was angry indistinct." While grabbing Melisa's hand and hurrying to take her home.

"What's wrong?" Melisa is confused as to why her brother called and gets angry at Kevin.

"I don't know either "

"Sorry Maya we have to go." Kevin said goodbye to Maya.

Along the way Melisa and Kevin are still talking about her brother who is very angry just because they visited her father's house.

"Mel, it looks like there's something Alan's brother is hiding." Kevin spoke in a serious tone.
