Sure enough, these breads were still intact inside the storefront. I let out a long sigh, my guts shrinking, only Briyan's words were my encouragement. He told me not to be surprised if there were no buyers for the first week. Because that was the beginning of his career, as well as his father and mother.
I put them in the paper bag one by one. Fortunately today I did not make too much, there were only 40 loaves of bread and today there were 8. So I had to hand out the other 32 loaves.
Drrrrttt drrrrttt.
My phone is shaking, Briyan called.
["Darling, you still haven't come home either? do I want to pick you up?"]
["No, no need. I've closed the shop, but I have to hand out unsold bread today. I'll be home soon."]
["Oh, that. Yashudah, be careful on the way."]
["Yes.]
Along the way I tried to find a homeless person or people who seemed to need food. I stopped at a city park.
I looked closely at everyone who was there. There was a middle-aged man sitting with his son playing. The girl seemed very happy to play there. But the man's face looked very gloomy.
I tried to approach him, and offered him a bag of plastic bread. At first he refused, his face hesitated. But I explained that this bread was free for her because it was the first day I opened the shop.
Finally he received the bread that I brought, I also gave him 1 more bag of bread. He seems very happy to receive it. However, a new problem arises.
Just as he ate some bread, he seemed confused by the drinking water.
"Dad, there's a drink vendor there. I'm gonna go get some ice, dad!" The girl was excited.
But, the carefree face of the child is not the same as the look of his father's face is getting moody and confused. I don't think he has the money to buy that drink. I approached the girl.
"Come, we'll get ice! Brother wants to." too."
"Yey! buy ice..!" The child was very happy.
We both walked side by side until the drinks dealer. The boy picked the same ice as me. To be honest, drinking ice at night is not my hobby, but what is the power.
I bought them a few drinks. I also gave the girl 300 grand. I just said the money was for him to buy snacks.
Hopefully the money can help his father a little, who knows he is confused because he does not have money. After that I went straight to my bike and rushed home.
Since there were still 2 bags of bread, I headed to the guesthouse to give them to Merry and the security guard who stood guard at the guesthouse gate. Briyan called me many times.
["Please, I'm still at the guesthouse. I'll be home soon."] I told Briyan.
After a long day, I finally got home and took a break in my room.
Grandma suddenly came into my room. He brought me a little piece of food he just ordered over the phone.
"What is this grandma?"
"This is a pastry made by a reliable chef in the style of a five-star restaurant." Grandma said with a smile.
"Thank you, grandma."
Grandma turned out of my room. Briyan approached me and asked.
I'm back in bed. "Where might Grandma scold me, just look at Grandma bringing me some special bread."
Briyan smiled hearing that.
*********
The next day.
I helped cook in the kitchen. In the menu of this family cuisine never miss boiled vegetables. This morning his cooking was very tempting to me, gurame fish soup. Some people may not like it, but thank God my taste never hit this family.
Stewed green vegetables that always exist at the dinner table, steamed sea fish, stir-fried capcay favorite of Briyan's father and chicken porridge for grandfather. All are available and breakfast. Only the chatter of Briyan's grandfather, grandmother, father and mother could be heard at the dinner table. Besides them, everything is quiet.
"I want this chicken porridge to be given gurame fish soup." Grandpa said thrusting his plate towards Briyan's mother.
Briyan's mother immediately thrust her grandfather's plate near me.
"Add soup to grandpa." Pinta Briyan's.
Of course, that pot of soup was right in front of me. I immediately took it for grandfather and returned it slowly to Briyan's mother.
Briyan today does not touch soups, capcays or vegetables. He chose to eat his grandfather's chicken porridge.
"Sa—sayang, it's going to have a grandfather." I reminded Briyan. "Are you having a toothache?"
Briyan shook her head. "It just so happens that from yesterday I imagined chicken porridge." Said relaxed. Fortunately ART has separated the fried chicken in the bowl. Briyan quickly sprinkled the chicken milk over the chicken porridge.
I kept watching Briyan eat. He looks excited. I'm sure his weight has increased again. Maybe I should ask him to exercise regularly so that he is slimmer and healthier.
After eating, the house was quiet again, because we were busy working. There were only grandparents who seemed to enjoy their morning walks.
I rushed to the store. There I quickly prepared all the tools and materials. I felt as if I was being chased by something, having to finish all this bread quickly. Although actually one customer is not necessarily someone who came today.
I took a long breath. Well, maybe this morning I'll just bake some bread. I baked 2 pans containing 12 loaves of bread. Not much, but I'll cook it periodically.
2 Hours later there was no sign of a buyer. I just heated the ripe bread. Suddenly a buyer came.
"Is the bread ripe?" he asked me.
"Here, please choose the variant sir. Since it's not open yet, the choice is still a little, please sir!" I took out the still warm bread from the oven.
"I want everything that's still warm." He pointed to the bread I had brought.
"Ma'af sir, but the warm bread there are only 6 pieces. Would you like to add more?"
"By the way, I want 10 still warm." He said, looking for a place to wait.
"Okay sir, please wait a minute."
I warmed up the bread I just took out. Since I warmed up, I was afraid that the bread would be burnt. To avoid the bread becoming charred, I used a small flame to warm it.
After 10 minutes, the buyer left with all the bread he ordered. I was so lucky this morning, may my luck last till the death of the night and beyond.
I went back to baking bread, this time I was baking a bit more. About 40 loaves of bread and unexpectedly, 2 buyers came and almost finished the bread I cooked. I finally went back to grilling for the third time.
