Finally, my bakery opened perfectly. But today I did not make much bread, because it was only the first day so there was still no buyer.
It's boring here alone. I took a walk around the store to mop the table with a washcloth or make sure the grill had gone out.
Bored, I called my mom and dad.
["How is Mom's father?"]
["Okay, we're all good here. All thanks to you and Briyan. Say thank you to Briyan."]
["Yes, Mom."]
["And thank you for trying to help return the letters of the house that was confiscated by the loan sharks. Thanks to you two, now I'm calmer. If only there were no you, mom, dad and Melati would be homeless by now."]
["Yes ma'am, it's not a problem."]
["But, it's a pity that now the mother lost her livelihood. the mother is no longer allowed to trade in the usual area of the mother selling. Because now the place will be built. Mom became frustrated, had to work let alone this mother of yours. While your father has also been unemployed for a long time."]
Mom told me long on the phone. Slowly I feel sorry for him. As if I could understand what it's like to be a mother. If I were in his position, what would I do?
I don't know, even now I'm struggling with my own efforts. Maybe after my efforts to bloom, I can go back to help them. I don't know when I've cared about them. Sometimes, I feel sorry.
["Find as much work as you can, ma'am, because for now I can't help you anymore. Look for a job that's not too heavy, and one that's definitely not a night job."]
["Yes, yes, my dear. I'll keep trying."]
A few minutes later, I ended the phone call. Suddenly a buyer came. He looked at the bread and looked at every price.
"Please pack some of this bread!" pinta the middle-aged man who had just entered.
I chose to wrap some bread for her, and she gave her first money.
My heart really blossomed watching this. Even though it is only 1 buyer, I hope he will come back again tomorrow, the day after tomorrow or next Sunday. Actually next month is okay.
By midday, not to mention a buyer had entered the store. I got bored waiting.
"Darling, have you eaten yet?" Briyan suddenly came.
I was surprised by his arrival.
"Don't you have an important meeting today? why are you suddenly here?"
"I just want to have lunch with my wife" he said, putting down the food he was carrying.
I was excited to see the food brought by Briyan.
"No, you're wrong."
I opened the package and was surprised to see the contents. It turns out that sea food is cooked from home. Briyan deliberately went home and took sea food in the kitchen and he brought it here.
"Why bother going home?" ask me while opening each tightly sealed container. In the container there is also a sauce and boiled vegetables.
"There are some files that are missing, so I'll just have this package on ART for the dinner kit."
"Their people, they must be confused again thinking about what cuisine they will make because you have brought it this much."
"I've asked them to cook a special fried rice tonight."
I was surprised to hear it. "Fried rice? do house people like fried rice??"
"Yes, we all sometimes love to eat fried rice, an ordinary dish that can be polished into a sumptuous cuisine. Depends on the topping. If I prefer to eat fried rice with pickles, boiled mustard, chicken milk or Kentucky also can. And what's for sure is iced oranges."
We both had lunch together. Briyan always comes out of the blue and brings me surprises. I'm so flattered by it.
"I... How about today, do you have a buyer?" ask Briyan.
"Just got one guy, it makes me lethargic." I said uninspired.
"Why so lethargic, this is only the first day naturally. I'm sure the buyers will increase tomorrow."
"Yes, I hope."
Briyan had finished eating and washed her hands into the bathroom, she also went into the room to rest.
"Darling, I'm gonna take a little nap. Wake me up in half an hour." Briyan said, preparing to close her eyes.
"Darling, you just finished eating. Don't go straight to sleep." I screamed from outside.
"Hhm!" he just replied to me briefly.
Since Briyan slept, there was one more buyer coming. I hope he's not the last.
"Thank you" I said, giving the package and change to the buyer.
The buyer then left, it was enough to be my mood booster on this hot afternoon. I cleaned the floor with a mop, from a distance I saw the bread was still spread widely in the window. I hope there are 2 or 3 more buyers coming.
I was worried that if these breads were still intact until the end of the night, I would inevitably have to take them home or share them.
