I began to be able to balance the paddles on my paddlers. The night gets quieter and darker, the colder it gets. The river's water flow is somewhat slowing but is getting tidal. The river discharge is widening.
"Briyan, what do you think the river is about a meter wide?"
Briyan listened and began to calculate the width of the river.
"Maybe about 6 meters. What's up?" asked Briyan in surprise.
"Can you swim?"
"Can, I go to the pool a lot. Even in my house there is a swimming pool."
Right, why am I asking her such a stupid question? hold me in my heart.
"I was just thinking, if this boat sinks, you might have to save me because I can't swim."
"What?? can't you swim??"
"You don't believe it? will you not help me?"
"Unfortunately, a fierce woman like you can't swim."
This one Briyan sentence makes me speechless and silent with a manyun mouth.
Briyan then sings slowly, her voice small and melodious.
Lonely moon of the night,
The cold atmosphere seduced the heart.
The light on the moon was adorning,
shades of mystery envelop.
Lost sight in the eye,
your shadow pulled over in sangkasa.
I don't know how long you've been there, though,
until I wanted to meet.
Sacrifice yourself in the illusion,
eliminate the shackling longing.
Wasting time with dreams,
even though it's quiet won't pass.
On the night I give you my regards,
for you who I love.
May love be eternal,
until I die, I will wait.
"My voice is sweet, right??" briyan asked to finish her song.
I nodded with a manyun.
"Actually I'm more talented as a singer than as a president of the company" he said, stopping pedaling. He rubbed his arms which began to ache.
"You're more confident than the president or the singer you're better suited to be the host."
"Employer?? ha ha ha ha may be. That was one of my childhood ideals." Briyan laughed saying that.
Suddenly my eyes fell on a flashlight.
"Briyan.. sssstttt." I hinted Briyan to be quiet and pointed towards the light.
Briyan turned around and looked towards the coming light.
"Are we on the side of the highway??" briyan whispered.
"It looks like it." I said.
Suddenly the boat owner and his wife also woke up. It turns out they realized what was happening.
The owner of the boat took the paddle from Briyan's hand.
"You two sit face down and cover your bodies using this cloth!" the boat owner ordered in a whisper, he handed us a piece of cloth.
While the wife of the boat took something out from the end of the boat, opening a cover of wood, pineapple fruit. The wife began to accumulate pineapple fruit on our bodies assisted by her husband.
After a while I felt heavy. Pineapples are already stacked on top of me and Briyan.
"Where are you going?!" ask someone from a distance. His voice can be heard clearly.
"To the dawn market, sir, want to sell pineapple. Would you like to buy??" ask the owner of the boat clearly and clearly.
"No!" tell that guy again.
My heart beats faster in the face of all this. I saw Briyan not moving from her place. Before getting the cue from the boat owner, we could not move.
After the distance got further, the wife of the boat owner told us to lie on her stomach. He helped us to breathe more comfortably with the pineapple mound still above us.
Now we're really like 'lost people' and 'get lost'. I just imagine if really going to be Briyan's wife maybe my after-marriage life wouldn't be peaceful and peaceful.
I heard the sound of crickets and frogs ringing. They became my lullaby voice. Every now and then my arm feels pierced by pineapple spines. And made me grimace in pain.
"Goddess...!" Call Briyan.
I pretended not to hear his call.
"Wi....!" Briyan called back.
I'm not flinching.
Crick
Crick
Crick
Crick
Kroogggg
Kroooogg
Krooooggggg
The sound of crickets and frogs rang in turn, making me vaguely in a dream.
The drizzle started to come down.
Oh, naw!
Is it going to rain? I keep praying that it doesn't rain now.
The wind started to blow.
Again I failed to dream because of this, but my eyes were already sleepy once. Patter keeps coming down wet the pineapple fruit.
Now the wind was blowing even louder and more terrifying. I tried to close my eyes, with the rain starting to fall.
But the rain soon subsided. And change with a roar. My stomach feels very hungry. Perhaps others also felt the fear and hunger that I felt now.
Suddenly the boat owner started the engine on his boat.
Glug
Glug
Glug
Glug
Glug
Clop clop clop clop clop clop clop tok tok tok tok tok
The boat lit up and went fast. It was like riding a motorbike on a large floor. The boat owner hinted us out of the pineapple pile.
We did not sleep and enjoyed the boat trip. The speed of this boat is equivalent to the speed of a motorcycle with a speed of 40 km/h.
The weather is getting cold, dark and rumbling. I don't know where we're going, but I hope there's a stop ahead for us to take shelter for a while.
Lintik is still wetting us who are not covered by anything. Even though we were wearing jackets, these jackets did not have hats.
The lightning started coming from behind us. And before long, we arrived at a village, many houses on the bank of the river. Now the river is widened with a size of 30-40 meters.
I thought we were going to stop, but the boat owner continued on his way. Amidst the rumbling wind and speckling, we enjoyed the early morning commute.
At 01.30.
Now that the river is widening, I think it is now impossible for the criminals to come after us. Now there was only a stretch of water before us. Several boats were also seen passing and carrying lots of vegetables and fruits.
About 2 hours drive we traveled and one view from a distance I saw, the lights on the edge of the river. Then the bright urban scenery is bright with a variety of lights. We have arrived at the port of the city.
I can't stop saying gratitude in my heart. However, the owner of the boat did not stop at the port. He chose a location next to the people's house.
At 04:00 in the morning.
The boat slowed down and stopped between the houses on the riverbank.
"I'm just driving you here. I think this place is safe for you guys" said the boat owner.
"Thank you sir! you saved our lives." Briyan slightly bowed her sign of respect.
After shaking hands, we hurried to walk upstairs and find a way to get home. It was still dark, only the street lights illuminated our journey. It's pretty quiet here.
