The Angel Behind the Veil

The Angel Behind the Veil
Not In Islam

"Cantika, next week I'm going to attend an event do you want to come with me?" Arya asked as Cantika was about to enter her room.

Cantika almost accepted it then he remembered the race he would participate in would also be held next week.

"Sorry Arya, it just so happens that the company I work for sends me to do an important task next week."

Arya feels disappointed at this time even though she has prepared herself to express her love for Cantika at the event. But he wasn't so rushed, he still had plenty of time for it.

"Well I'll go alone, good luck." Arya said with a smile then went to her room.

Cantika entered his room, wudhu and prayed. After that, Cantika began to write.

The next day Mr. Rohim called Cantika.

"Assalamu'alaikum Father."

"Wa'alaikumussalam Son, Dad in front of the compound I want to take you somewhere."

"Where?"

"You will know."

"Well, I'll pay Bi Susi first."

Bi Susi no longer asked much when Cantika came out because she thought Cantika went to work.

When he saw Mr. Rhim driving towards his old house Cantika was confused and when the car stopped in front of his old house Cantika asked. "Why are we here, Dad?"

"We go home, from now on it's your home again."

"Nobody bought it yet so Dad made it back."

Cantika was so happy, she so missed that house full of memories. He ran inside.

Seeing his house full of dust Cantika clean it and assisted by Mr. Rohim.

While cleaning the room Cantika's mother gets a small book. Inside it was full of his mother's handwriting.

"What's that?" Ask Mr. Rohim.

"Mother's Daily Book." Cantika then gave the book to Mr. Rohim.

Mr. Rohim read every page of the book, there was written how Mother Cantika felt during her separation with Mr. Rohim. He regretted being selfish and did not give Mr. Rohim the opportunity to introduce him to Islam. Until one day he read about Islam, he began to be interested in Islam but in his heart was also bound by this slama belief he had. Although he was interested in Islam, he remained firm in his beliefs. One time he fell ill, he dreamed he was at two intersections. On one side there is an old church and on the other side there is a mosque that is so sparkling. He was confused which way to go but somehow he walked into the mosque. There he heard a beautiful voice, the voice of Adhan that shook his heart.

When he woke up he shed tears and said two sentences of shahada. He promised to deepen Islam and will look for Mr. Rohim to tell him about the existence of Cantika.

But that was the last writing of Ms. Cantika because the next day she fell unconscious and was taken to the hospital. And unfortunately he breathed his last at that time with regret because he had not had time to tell Cantika who his father was.

"Your mother is not in Islam."

That sentence shocked Cantika.

Then Cantika read the last page of the book and understood the day before her mother did not say two sentences of the creed.

Mr. Rohim cried while hugging Cantika. She recalled again with Mother Cantika, a beautiful and gentle woman, a loving woman, the woman who had made her promise not to love another woman again even though they had separated.

Mr. Rohim took Cantika to his mother's tomb and replaced the sign of the cross on his mother's grave with a tombstone. About the funeral ordinance of Mother Cantika first let the omniscient God judge it. They believe God knows everything.
