The Angel Behind the Veil

The Angel Behind the Veil
Meeting Fans

It has not been a month since the first Cantika novel was published.

Hundreds of readers have read the novel.

All fans of Cantika's novel asked the publisher to introduce who the author of the novel was so shaken.

Publishers have begun to be overwhelmed by the fans who even come to the office of publishing Cantika novels. They insist they want to meet directly with the author who has moved the hearts of many people to be more immersed in Islam.

"Sir Rohim please speak to the author of the novel and ask him to come. I can't handle his fans forcing me to meet him." The owner of the publishing house said the novel to Mr. Rohim.

Mr. Rohim looked out who was standing dozens of fans of Cantika novels.

Cantika who had just finished helping Bi Susi in the kitchen saw many missed calls from Mr. Rohim in his phone immediately called back Mr. Rohim.

"Hello, assalamu'alaikum what's wrong sir? sorry I didn't see your call." Cantika said when the phone was connected.

"Wa'alaikumussalam, this is Nak Cantika. In front of the office was standing a lot of fans of the novel Nak Cantika and they asked to meet with Nak Cantika." Obviously Mr. Rohim.

Cantika was shocked by Mr. Rohim's words. He never thought that if his novel was published there would be many people who would be curious about the author of the novel.

"How will you do, sir?"

"Please come and meet them."

"But sir I'm not ready to meet a lot of people."

"Mr please Son. Had we been able to handle it we definitely would not have asked Nak Cantika to come."

Such was the conversation of Cantika and Mr. Rohim.

Cantika is very worried now. Should he meet his fans but if he were there what would happen, there would have been reporters waiting. Cantika was unwilling to reveal her identity at this moment. But if he goes there, his identity will certainly be revealed because his novel clearly tells about Islam. Cantika had to figure out a way for her fans to disperse from there without having to reveal her identity. But Cantika doesn't know how.

"Hello Nak Cantika did you hear Father?" Ask Mr. Rohim for not hearing the Cantika's voice.

"Yes sir, well I'll be there but on condition." Cantika agreed.

"What terms are you, son?" Ask Mr. Rohim.

"Father has to help me hide my true identity. My pen name is Ayesha C so please call me Ayesha." Cantika said, he got the idea. He used a veil, if he did not say his real name surely people would not recognize him. After all, her fans were also Muslims whom she had never known at all, and if there was a reporter there, her identity would also be preserved with the name Aisyah she used.

"Well son, you'll hide your true identity." Said Mr. Rohim.

"Bi, I'm going out for a minute." Cantika said to Bi Susi.

"No, if Nak Cantika wants to get out, Auntie has to come along." Bi Susi was traumatized by the incident a month ago when Rika kidnapped her.

Cantika was confused as to how he could get out without Bi Susi.

"No pelu Bi, I want to go to my mother's grave and I'll be back soon. I promise you, Rika won't dare hurt me again after Arya gets her covered at that time." Yes, after the abduction of Cantika the next day Arya made a lesson on Rika that Rika will never forget.

"Party Uncle and Aunt have also promised to always keep an eye on Rika." Cantika.

"All right but promise to go home soon." Bi Susi also felt no need to worry too much, besides Cantika also needed freedom.

About ten meters before reaching the office, Cantika got off the taxi.

She goes into a public restroom and changes her clothes she has never worn so that Arya or anyone who knows her can't recognize her if she sees her.

After changing clothes Cantika directly walked towards the office. There he saw many people waiting for him, including Mr. Rohim.

"That's the author of our novel Aisha." Mr. Rohim said then approached Cantika.

Everyone was grounded with the arrival of Cantika, she was like an angel this time. With long white clothes and a white veil that makes it look very beautiful and shiny.

"Well, Aisha, I love you." Shouts of Cantika fans.

"Everything please keep your distance, let Ayesha pass." Mr. Rohim said and helped Cantika open the way.

"Please give us a word here." A reporter told Cantika.

Mr. Rohim is worried if Cantika will not be willing, it will not be good and will make his fans disappointed.

But Cantika agreed and stood quietly before everyone.

"Alright, assalamu'alaikum the friend of Islam." A greeting to everyone.

"Wa'alaikumussalam." Answer everyone simultaneously.

"I'll introduce a little bit about me and the reason I write novels embracing Islam. My name is Ayesha, and I am a novelist embracing Islam. At first I wrote just to fill my free time. But after the writing was finished I thought about sharing it with everyone so that people could be inspired like me and could better understand the importance of studying Islam. Islam is beautiful, it is like the morning sun that covers us warmly.

I am here to thank all of you who have supported and loved my writing. May we all find wisdom in it. Aamiin's."

Cantika said with a smile.

Everyone was getting festering with the softness of the Cantika voice.

"Alright, I think now you are satisfied.I beg you to come back because Aisha still has business." Mr. Rohim is very worried that no fans will ask questions that will make it difficult for Cantika.

"Aisha do you live in this city? or do you live in this area? where's origin?" Ask one of the fans there.

"I'm sorry we can't answer anything personal." Mr. Rohim said then brought Cantika into the office.

Although somewhat disappointed but the fans are satisfied to have seen the author of their favorite novel.

After everyone broke up Cantika also said goodbye to Mr. Rohim and the owner of the publication there.

"Again thanks, you want to come today" said the owner of the novel.

"Together sir it is my duty, then I beg you to pay assalamualaikum." Cantika said goodbye then walked out but was followed by Mr. Rohim.

"I'll drive you." Said Mr. Rohim.

"Thank you but no need sir, I've booked a cab." Cantika felt that there was something she wanted to say to Mr. Rohim, like there was something that made her feel close to Mr. Rohim but she did not know what it was.

"Well then be careful." Likewise with Mr. Rohim, he felt very close to Cantika. Like someone tied them up.
