Raina looked into her mother's eyes deeply, as if those eyes were asking for an explanation of all the questions that were now spinning in her mind.
"Ma clearly everything is Ma, Rai mo-hon." Raina's voice stuck in her throat, her eyes felt so hot that her tears had dripped.
Just as his mother was about to speak, someone opened the door and told the bride to come downstairs immediately.
"Mama promise will clear everything after this. But, please mama now we go down first baby. Mama doesn't want Grandpa's condition until the drop."
If only her grandfather had no history of heart disease, Raina would have immediately escaped, and jumped from the second floor of her room right now. Surely he will not step with his mother and go down just like that. However, Raina was still a little sane, she could not possibly do that and threatened the life of her dear grandfather.
As he went down the stairs, all the pairs of eyes that were present at the ceremony, none of them did not look at Raina. They were so enchanted, that a man who had given him such a dream had not blinked. Raina sat beside the groom with a blank look, she complied when she had to sign the marriage papers.
Now it is time to exchange rings. Raina's fingers trembled, her husband slowly placed a diamond ring on her ring finger.
Finished exchanging rings, Raina grabbed the palm of her husband's hand on the instruction from her grandfather. In the kiss on the back of Gibran's hand, Raina's heart suddenly beats faster when Gibran kisses the top of his head as well. However, all this felt so sudden for Raina, her head felt so heavy to digest all of this, that Raina was finally unconscious. With a swift Gibran carrying Raina ala bridal into the room, fortunately this agreement was only attended by family and KUA only.
After a while, Raina came to her senses.
"Drink first baby." said Mama while thrusting a glass of water on Raina. After drinking, Raina sat in the head of the bed.
"Where are they going?" ask Raina to her mother.
"Boy friday prayers."
Raina cried, her face bowed, and her hands squeezed the white kebaya she was wearing. She thinks it was a nightmare, but when she wakes up, Raina realizes that this day and this marriage are real.
"I'm sorry dear, we didn't mean to hurt you. Everything went awry, at first the one who was going to get married was indeed your sister," mama tried to explain making Raina look up her face to look at the middle-aged woman who had given birth to her.
"This wedding has been planned for a long time. But, two weeks before the wedding, Rakana admitted that she was pregnant with her best friend. You know, Grandpa went straight to the hospital at the time."
She lied about her pregnancy so that she would not marry Gibran, she could not have had the forbidden relationship before marriage, even though she loved her best friend. However, because of his lie, Gandhi Santana immediately got a heart attack, lucky they are not late to the hospital so that grandfather's life can still be saved.
"We can't possibly derail this marriage, other than to unite two companies. Grandpa once had a vow with his best friend to marry off their children. But your grandfather and his best friend both only have sons. And only now can the nadzar be accomplished."
"Why didn't Mama tell Rai first?"
"We're afraid, you'll resist and run away."
"In fact Rai had already lost to Ma, before even trying it."
"Maybe it's your destiny, dear, and the road should be like this. Gibran is a good man, Mama is sure he can make you happy dear," said mama, after they fell silent and Raina again cried as much as she could.
In the evening, the reception was held in the ballroom of a famous hotel in Jakarta. The show went on magnificently. Although the invitation was only family and some colleagues, but Raina's legs felt very sore because they stood for too long.
Seeing that his wife was uncomfortable, and the invited guests had already begun to quiet down, Gibran told Raina to sit down. After that Gibran crouched down then massaged Raina's calf. Initially Raina felt uncomfortable, because Gibran's treatment made the attention of the guests centered on the two of them, but if it was felt Gibran's treatment made him comfortable until the aching in his feet went somewhere.
The show is over, both the Gibran family and Raina have returned home. Raina and Gibran stay at this hotel. The two of them entered a room specially chosen for the two of them.
"There's something I want to talk about" they said with their eyes locked on each other. Raina who first realized, immediately turned her face to the side.
"Ladies first," Gibran relented.
"What the hell, so awkward gini," murmured Raina who still can Gibran hear, until he chuckles at it. With a wrong behavior Raina stretched out her hand and Gibran shook Raina's hand.
"Raina Desiana Silvi," Raina introduced herself.
"Gibran Al - Fatih."
After she finished getting acquainted, Raina instead scratched her stump that did not itch at all.
"What should I call you?" raina and Gibran started thinking.
"Just be, ok."
This time Raina looked at Gibran seriously.
"Do you know that the one who should marry Mas is Ana's sister?"
"Indeed, but the one who is my wife is you Rai."
"You all know? So, here I am the only one who doesn't know anything. You know I was feeling stupid myself?" Raina fiery.
"Why, why don't you try to cancel this marriage?"
"You're sorry?" ask Gibran back.
"Even to be disappointed I can't. Then, did Mas not feel played with because my family instead made me a substitute for sister Ana?"
Raina was crying, the anger she had been harboring since then was out already. Gibran approached Raina, then hugged him, rubbing the back of a woman who had now become his wife.
"Your shh is not a substitute, there is nothing to substitute for. Matter of soul, only God knows. We refuse, but if he is our soul mate, he will be together. But, if not a match, no matter how strong the person maintains still will not be together. Is not God's plan better than our expectations?" Gibran exhaled, then continued, "We are one proof of Raina."
"Still, this all feels so sudden to me. I don't know anything about you either."
"Maybe it was sudden. Mas also doesn't know too much about you Rai, but that's not a problem. We've got time for the rest of our lives to be together, Mas said it's more than enough to get to know each other," Raina's cheeks warmed up, maybe her mama was right, Gibran was a good guy.
"Let us both open our hearts to Raina, together accept what God has laid out for us."
"Okay, then we start from friendship first. How's it?"
"No problem, life partner."
That was the first night Raina and Gibran started out as friends.
