Substitute Love (Married Candidate Sister-in-law)
You Know What

A few days after that incident Qian and Vero got closer. Like today, Qian took Vero for a walk. They spend their time at a night market they happen to pass by.

"Lusa I'm going to Papa's. I'm gonna take care of my diploma. Reo said everything was in order and I had to go there and take care of the rest." Vero was silent for a moment. Somehow she felt heavy letting go of Qian's departure. He had been comfortable with Qian for some time now.

"Old?" ask Vero slowly.

"It's good, I was there for the most week. Why?" qian asked with a nosy laugh.

"What the hell," exclaimed Vero as he gently struck Qian's shoulder in embarrassment at the tease. Then they laughed together while continuing to circle the night market.

Suddenly their steps stopped at a doll sales place. Vero pointed at the place with his long face asking Qian to buy it for him. Qian chuckled lightly at Vero's expression as he asked for something that looked extremely adorable. Qian ruffled Vero's hair then walked quickly towards the puppet merchant while holding Vero's hand.

They begin to sort through until their choice falls on a cute pink mushroom doll.

"This is it," said Vero as he hugged his mushroom doll with anxiety. Qian smiled looking at Vero's spoiled manner. Qian took out her wallet preparing to pay. Not to mention that Qian took the money suddenly a middle-aged woman came and took the mushroom doll that Vero had forcibly hugged.

"Bang, how much is this? What do you think is still there?" asking her directly, Vero could only be shocked to get such a shocking treatment. Qian approached the middle-aged woman and seized her doll forcibly back. The middle-aged woman did not accept.

"Eh, I want to buy that one," she exclaimed loudly. Qian doesn't care. He immediately paid for it and passed from there while holding Vero without a word.

Vero could only fall silent with the Qian's attitude. The middle-aged woman went back to chasing Qian.

"Eh, that's polite yes you're young same old man! You don't know who I am, do you?" ketus. Qian turned.

"Oh, you're an important person? But unfortunately, your attitude is still inferior to the Kindergarten child," Qian said, smiling cynically.

Qian pulled Vero to immediately leave the middle-aged woman, she still looked annoyed but Qian remained unconcerned. Vero smile. It turned out that Qian was someone brave and resolute as well. In contrast to his ex-girlfriend Alzam. To make a decision about their relationship, it took him a long time to think.

After their walk, they immediately go home. At exactly 9 pm, they were greeted by Vero's grandmother who was waiting on the porch of the large house. The house, although old but still displays a magnificent impression with a size that is quite spacious and surrounded by parks and garden lights that are increasingly impressive at night.

Qian came down from his mogenya to meet Vero's grandmother. He greeted Vero's grandmother, and was greeted kindly by her.

"Next time not too late. It's not good to see the surroundings," Vero's grandmother softly advised, Qian0 to nod in understanding.

"Yaudah, excuse me first, Grandma," said Qian. Grandma nodded slowly with a warm smile.

After Qian disappeared from their sight. Grandma and Vero walked into the house. They seem to be chatting familiarly.

"It looks like he's younger than you, Vero? You are not young anymore, do not look for a boyfriend who still likes to play games, look for a serious one if you need to be established and mature," advises Grandma.

"Not wrong, Grandma. He is good, mature and his mindset is also. He doesn't seem to be the spoiled type either, Grandma. Vero likes him, if he feels protected by him." Grandma smiled at Vero's words. Vero's grandmother was not the type to impose her will, all the final decisions she would leave to Vero. Vero decided everything he wanted.

At home Qian began to struggle with the design that he had not finished. Tomorrow he plans to give up everything before he leaves.

Suddenly the door sounded open. Qian looked over and as he had guessed. It was his mother, because they were at home indeed just the two of them.

"Kok mas Azam is not a nelfon, huh?!" kesah Maya while sitting on Qian's bed. Qian looked cute even more engrossed with her drawing pad.

"Lost 3 weeks. I'm missing 4 years not in search of it until the whole thing." Qian looked still engrossed in her busyness.

"You are different from Azam. If Azam mas is shy, if there's anything he'd be hesitating for nanya."

"It's okay Mama mbak Jesika also will not be diem. He must be the most excited. He has a daughter. These fathers are still being treated like babies. Pantesan could not make any decisions in his life. Spoiled."

"You're!"

"That's the forest, Mah. It's only natural that he doesn't connect with us. Where is the signal there." Qian said briefly and somewhat annoyed.

"Udah ah, I want another job. The day after tomorrow to Papa's place," continued Qian again.

Maya knitted her brows in confusion. Qian never spoke that she was leaving.

"Whenever you go there again?!" ask Maya to be confused.

"Heh, you don't care Mama's the same as me. Whatever business I have Mama never knew," cynical Qian swallowed the disappointment she covered by playing her drawing pad without looking at Maya in the slightest.

"It must be cold there. Did Alzam's asthma recur? What about relapses? Did he bring the medicine," Maya muttered worriedly as if she didn't care about Qian's feelings.

Qian took a deep breath until the air filled her chest cavity. But it still hasn't calmed his already gray emotions. Qian clasped tightly onto his drawing pad pencil.

And ...

Crick...

The pencil broke in two. As much as Qian's energy held back her tears to not drip. He held his breath with his chest and throat that was starting to hurt held back his feelings. He grasped the broken pencil tightly until it seemed as if he wanted to******* in his hand.

"Go away. I want to work," throw Qian cold.

Maya was silent for a moment. Maybe Qian's right. He was already bothering Qian. he got up and prepared to leave.

"Tomorrow Mama transfer money to buy tickets as you pocket while there," said Maya before stepping away.

"No need. I have my own money," Qian refused flatly.

"Where's the money?" ask Maya wonder.

Qian smiled cynically. Maya really doesn't know anything about Qian. Even he didn't know if Qian worked freelance all this time.

"It's not from stealing," Qian said flatly and stared at Maya sharply.

Maya speechless. She realized Qian was holding back her emotions at the moment. It was visible from his broken pencil drawing pad in Qian's grasp .

Not wanting to cause any more trouble, Maya chooses to leave. He closed the door to Qian's room. When the door was closed, unbeknownst to Maya, Qian shed her tears. And he quickly wiped it and returned to his work that was not even tasteful anymore to finish. Qian slammed her broken pencil drawing pad. And clutched his face on his desk with his shoulders shaking violently withstanding the tightness in his chest.

For the last time he felt alone.
