SILENT SENTENCE

SILENT SENTENCE
8. THE BLOOD OF THE ANGEL

KEN climbed down the stairs of his house in a hurry and immediately turned to the kitchen where his mother was cooking with a maid.

“Mbha, bye yap? (Ma, are you ready?)”

Miss Mirna smiled as she nodded. The woman handed him a blue box and was immediately grabbed by Ken. The teenager's face looked worried and immediately turned around to leave the kitchen.

“Ken, wait for benar.” Ken immediately stopped and turned around again, looking at his mother in confusion as the woman's hand lifted.

“Your hair is a mess, you didn't comb it, hm?” Ken raised a grin and then shook his head. Miss Mirna clucked amusedly, then painstakingly her white fingers tidied the black strands of the eldest child. Uh! Ken's hair is very soft even though it hasn't been combed.

“Udah, Darling. Now go and be careful. Don't speed, yes.” Ken nodded then grabbed his mother's hand and then kissed for quite a while.

“A’u kat dlhu, Mba! (I leave first, Ma!).” Ken slightly exclaimed, worry still visible on his face.

“Wait, Ken!” One call with a different voice again stopped Ken's steps. The man turned around and smiled broadly to find Mr. Hardi.

“Pah..”.

His father looked very dignified while wearing a formal suit. Ah, how charismatic this man is.

“You went to your sister's school?” Ken nodded and then showed me a box full of food, “if so, not too fast bike. When you are done, go home and rest. Papa's going to the office early today."

Ken nodded then kissed her Papa's hand, and then passed. Ms. Mirna looked at Ken's narrow back from the kitchen, unknowingly the woman's tears were dripping, while the maid who was still with him only looked at her master with a look of pity.

“Bu,” call that helper slowly.

“Bi, is this just my vision or Ken has indeed turned so thin?” Ask Mirna in a soft voice.

The maid who was often called Bi Minah smiled bitterly and then replied, “Bibi also thinks the same, Mom. Mr. Ken looks so thin, his face is also often sayu.”

“Why cry, Darling?” Mr. Hardi approached Ms. Mirna and wiped the tears on his wife's face.

With a slight look up, Miss Mirna said in a pleading tone. “Mas, later when Deka comes home, we have to invite him to talk seriously. I can't hide that secret from her anymore, she needs to know! I'm not strong to see Ken sad continue, Deka is too outrageous!”

“If you choose the truth of the secret, then we will tell. I actually thought the same thing. But now, stop crying. Better bring this bag to the car, hm?”

Ms. Mirna nodded and stopped crying, she went out first to the car that was lying in front of the house. While her husband stood still with a frown, he thought of a big and heavy thing.

KEN never again deliver Deka lunch since their meeting a few days ago. Today is the first time he will come to school Deka bring food again, hopefully Deka is not being hit by hunger wrapped around. Ken continues to pedal the bike at high speed, it has become a separate skill through various vehicles passing around. He cut the road to the left turn, so it will be faster until even though it is quite winding and the road is not too flat.

Sweat began to fall on the temple, suddenly he braked his bike and stopped near a fairly wide alley in front of an old shop and was not used anymore. Ken saw students in the same uniform as his sister's were talking about something that seemed important, clearly visible from the look of the man's face that occasionally furrowed in the eyebrows and forehead.

Which makes Ken stop the speed of his bike because the person had mentioned the name Deka several times. Ken got off the bike and walked up to the student. That's Bian.

“Yan!” Ken called out, immediately, Bian's eyes were round. His face began to be confused, but 1 idea immediately crossed and was taken by 4 friends who were dressed normally after giving a gesture.

BUKK! Ken's body bounced off after a crushing kick landed on his stomach. The teenager grimaced in pain, but the gaze turned sharp and he immediately stood up straight.

“AAAAAGGH.!!” Ken exclaimed then returned the kick of one of Bian's friends who pierced.

Ken's kick was not playful, managed to make the person fell in a few piles of used cardboard and glass bottles. Getting used to passing through the shabby alley made Ken not think about cause and effect. He did not expect to get this bad luck! Some bottles there were broken. Bian watched the fight with an anxious look, because, Ken might have heard what he had planned earlier.

“You are Deka's brother, the student I hate the most and have been my rival for a long time. You are mute and hated by Deka too, your own sister. You remember that fact, ‘kan? So, why bother looking after a child who does not have a return like him?”

“Kha nak ai’ik, mu dhak her ahk un’a! (Deca good boy, you have no right to demean him!).”

After Ken successfully protested, laughter behind Bian from his friends rang out, to them there was cuteness in every word Ken uttered.

“My friends don't understand what you're saying. Now go home and take care of yourself, because soon your sister who has threatened and cheated on Dad about making trouble at school to my father, will accept the consequences. Go now!”

“Ani’nya mu! (How dare you!).”—bukh!

“Akhh!”

Bian cried out in pain as Ken suddenly punched him right in the nose and made the student's nose bleed profusely. Bian glared, while his four friends were silent, not daring to take action before being told to.

“You..” Bian growled, his two eyes sparking a great fury. He turned around, pulling the broken bottle and—

Jem! “Ahkk!”

Ken's breathing choked, his gaze narrowed towards the alley wall. He could see 4 of Bian's friends round their eyes. Ken's own breathing was held back when a cold object broke through the area of his heart. Slowly, fresh blood came out from the wound created from the broken bottle earlier.

“Ah khh..”.

Ken groaned as if electrocuted when Bian pulled the bottle from his stomach. While the student was now staring in disbelief who was holding a broken bottle covered in blood. He turned around, staring one by one at his companions who shook in shock. Bian clasped the broken bottle tightly, hoping to be pulled back from the world that was considered an illusion.

“Bian, you didn't say we were going to kill,” said one of his friends. The face of the man in a long collared shirt began to be confused.

“I'm not paid for this, Bian. We're not killers, remember?” 1 Another friend of Bian spoke the words of his friend.

“Better I didn't know you in the first place. Come, guys. Quick go before anyone sees!”

4 Bian's friends had already run, forgetting the task Bian had previously given. Bian himself turned around, looking at Ken who was sitting in a position leaning against the damp alley wall. The man grimaced holding his wound, blood flowing out from between his fingers.

“A—aku... I didn't mean to... Huh.huh.mu-impossible..."

Bian stammered, the glass bottle he had used to injure Ken had fallen out for some time, turning it into even sharper little fragments. The student's face paled, he was unconscious with his own blood still dripping from the nostrils.

“Yan, pat... Ahhe... Pat gihkk..” Ken moved his hand, telling Bian to leave the alley as soon as possible.

The perpetrator did not move, continuing to stare at the two blood-stained hands in fear. Ken took a deep breath as the air supply began to noticeably decrease. The flesh on his stomach was sliced slowly, then torn apart when Bian pulled the broken bottle a moment ago. The heat accompanied by unparalleled pain gnawed from the wound, down to each between the toes. With great difficulty, Ken stood holding on to the wall towards a bicycle that was still standing neatly untouched. Immediately, blood seeped in dark red. It's painful!

Ken's sad look was aimed at the box of supplies in the bicycle basket. With trembling hands, he grabbed the jacket wrapped around the basket and put it on, closing the zipper to hide the puncture wound. Then, Ken rode his bike and turned to Bian who was now looking with tears in his eyes.

"Yan gihkk..khab..khab..." Ken told Bian to run away, smiling with blue lips.

Ken's weak foot pedal makes the bike move unbalanced, Bian still stands pecking with increasingly heavy tears. Back pedaling, pedaling, and continue pedaling until it disappears from the alley altogether.

‘Ngak... What have I done to her? No, he's not wrong..’ Bian lamented his emotion-eaten stupidity, so that the innocent party became the victim of severe injuries.
