Sharing Love "The First Wife's Wait"
Chapter 42

This morning as usual, Fatma will wake up in the early morning to make some snacks market that Tio will rent. As he was focusing on steaming the traditional wet cake, Reymond exited the room and approached him.

"What are you doing this early in the morning?" reymond asked Fatma.

"I'm making a cake snack to sell in the market later" replied Fatma

Reymond did not think that fatma could also make traditional cakes, so far he thought that Fatma would take a cake from someone and sell it.

"Is there anything I can do for you, Fatma?" reymond asked who could not bear if Fatma worked alone.

"No need, sir. I can do it myself" Fatma refused as Reymond offered to help her.

But, Reymond's name is not if the words Fatma who rejected him will be followed. Although he did not understand how to make a cake, but he did not give up and asked Fatma to teach him.

"This fatma how to stir it?" reymond asked as he held the egg-shaker.

"Sir, you don't have to help me, I can still do it myself" Fatma declined.

"No, let me help" asked Reymond.

After a moment of silence, Fatma finally relented and let Reymond help her.

"Alright, you just do it like this" said Fatma while giving an example.

Reymond also watched Fatma's hand movements carefully, after quite understanding now it was his turn to take over the job. They sat in the kitchen for two and a half hours and were finished at dawn.

"Are you used to waking up like that?" reymond asked when they had finished arranging the newly made cake into one of the containers.

"Yes, I'm used to getting up in the early hours of the morning to immediately make wet cake snacks for us to rent in the market" Fatma replied without stopping the movement of the hand that was doing other work.

"Are you not tired of continuing like that? Especially when you're pregnant?" reymond asked a little curious, because the woman who was pregnant young was very sensitive to smell and easily feel tired.

Fatma smiled faintly upon hearing the question posed by her husband.

"Of course I feel tired, sir. But I had no other choice not to do it. And I will do anything to survive while I can" replied Fatma, who had Reymond slightly pinched her heart.

"Is this how you live a wife? he even tried to make ends meet without asking you. Though you are an established and successful man, but it is inversely proportional to the state of your wife who is struggling to find her own food" Reymond's inner self scolded herself.

After a moment of silence, Reymond began to help Fatma do the work that had not been completed.

"Fatma, if I take you guys out of this house, do you want to?" reymond asked suddenly who immediately stopped Fatma's movement.

"No need, sir. You don't have to bother doing that" reject Fatma nicely.

"I beg you, this time do not refuse my wish. I'm really worried about leaving you here alone, let alone Nadira already knowing your home, and it seems like Aunt Fani hasn't given up because you've already turned her down. I'm worried about you if they do something worse" Reymond said.

Fatma did not respond to Reymond's words, she still continued to do her work regardless of Reymond speaking beside her.

"Sir, don't you always say that every morning you always experience nausea and dizziness? Did you not feel it today?" tanya Fatma tried to divert Reymond's conversation.

"Are you switching our conversation?" reymond asked who was aware that Fatma was avoiding him. Yes, even though he was aware of what Fatma was asking him, this morning he did not feel nauseous or dizzy. But he is not with enough time.

"Ti–no, sir. I don't mean to divert your conversation. It's just that, I really don't want to leave this house anymore" Fatma replied as she lowered her head sadly.

"Fa–Fatma, sorry I didn't mean to make you sad" Reymond said.

"It's okay, sir. Thank you for worrying about us, but we still want to stay here, because this house is our parents' house" Fatma replied.

Reymond exhaled a little disappointed, he thought it would be easy to invite Fatma to move in with him.

"All right, I'm not gonna force you. But let me do something else to protect you" Reymond said

Fatma did not understand Reymond's remark saying "another thing to protect them".

"I mean, sir?" fatma asked curiously.

"Just don't refuse anything I give you" Reymond replied.

Fatma shook her head she did not understand at all with Reymond's response intent.

"As far as you are, sir. The most important thing is not to interfere with our activities" said Fatma.

Shortly after, Tantri and Tio came out of her room still in everyday clothes. They're going to the market to sell the cake.

"You guys up?" reymond asked Tio and Tantri.

"Yes, sir. We have to go to the market to sell the cakes" Tio replied.

"Can I come with you?" ask Reymond.

The three brothers arranged for each other, maybe they were asking through the eyes. After Fatma slightly shook her head, Tio immediately rejected Reymond's wishes.

"No sir, let us both go. We're used to it" Tio refused.

Reymond looked at Tio with a pleading gaze.

"No, sir. You better keep Fatma's brother here" said Tio spontaneously that made Fatma round her eyes in surprise to hear the words of Tio.

Another case with Reymond who immediately smiled hearing Tio's words.

"Alright, true Tio's words. I better be here to take care of you" Raymond said meaningfully.

Fatma did not respond to Raymond's remark, she just glanced at him for a moment and left her husband in her room.

"Yes already, sir. We want to go first, afraid of bad luck" said Tio who got a nod from Tantri.

"You guys be careful on the road" Reymond said before letting the two of them go.

After Tantri and Tio went to the market, Reymond and Fatma lived in the house. Reymond tried to knock on Fatma's bedroom door, but got no answer. Trying to turn the doorknob around and apparently not locked, Reymond tried to look into the room and find Fatma who returned to sleep. After the prayer, Fatma was already very sleepy, and now she continued her sleep after Tio and Tantri left.

"Maybe he was very tired" Reymond murmured as he closed the door to Fatma's room again.
