Lidya followed Alex in, entering the mansion, after he opened the lock in a hurry. Along the way until they arrived, the man did not invite him to speak at all. But Lidya was happy, because he did not have to bother thinking about the talk, or arrange himself so as not to be awkward, because he knew, Alex did not want it so much. There is one advantage for Lidya, considering she still does not have any feelings for Alex.
"This is your room" said Alex, pointing to a room next to the living room, which is more worthy of being called the guest room.
Lidya just nodded then stepped slowly while dragging her suitcase.
"Who told you to come in?" scold Alex coldly.
Sontak Lidya stopped her steps then turned around, looking at Alex with resignation.
"Put the suitcase there first." Alex pointed at Lidya's front door. "You've got to make me some coffee!"
Lidya remained silent and did as Alex had told her.
"Remember, don't make the coffee too sweet or not too bitter, you understand?"
Lidya nodded in understanding. He then went to the kitchen and cooked water while looking for sugar and coffee in storage.
Alex smiled cynically. He looked at Lidya not like it. "You won't stay at home for long with me, here. You think you can enjoy this wedding, huh?" his hissing in heart.
Alex steps away from Lidya. Just one goal this time, the bedroom. Yes, he had been so tired of standing up since morning, receiving and welcoming invited guests, then gathering with his friends, still again when he was both with Lily. Recalling about Lily, Alex snorted in annoyance. He still did not get his share from the woman. Alex has gotten used to Lily's vicious hugs and kisses, which have been tying her heart.
Just as Alex was climbing the last stairs to the 2nd floor, he was shocked by the sound of his doorbell. He wanted to shout to call Lidya, but he remembered that she was preparing the drink he had asked for. He doesn't want Lidya to make a mistake. And so Alex quickly stepped down towards the main door.
Lidya only saw Alex's movements. He was about to run to open the door, but when he saw Alex coming down, he broke his intention and thought maybe Alex was coming to a guest, who he did not know.
"What's up, Bik?"
Sayup-sayup Lidya heard Alex's voice greeting the person who came to the guest, who was a woman.
"Anu Mas, Father and Mother asked me to stay here and help Mas Alex and Mbak Lidya," replied the woman with a thick Japanese accent.
There was a rough sound from Alex. "No need, Bik. We could be alone. Lidya seemed smart enough to cook and clean the house," replied Alex who immediately made Lidya roll her eyes lazy.
"But Mas, you said I should stay even if Mas Alex kicked me out" she said.
"Bik Marni, please understand Alex, we need privacy dong as a newlywed," continued Alex. Lidya sneered at hearing it. The newlyweds? Hmh!
"Ehm, didn't Alex try to call you first? I'm afraid if I come back later even scolded him, Mas." Bik Marni remained firm. Lidya smiled happily. That means they won't stay alone.
"Ck! What's Bik doing? Already, Bik Marni just go home, Alex order a taxi," said Alex who also remained adamant.
"Yes already, Mas. Bik Marni resigned," replied the middle-aged woman.
Lidya let out a long breath. He doesn't make friends here.
When Alex was opening an online taxi app, his phone suddenly rang. He looked so upset but did not stop answering the call.
"What else, Pa?"
"Let Bik Marni stay there to help you guys."
"But we don't need to, let Lidya learn to take care of the household well," replied Alex pretender.
There was a loud laugh of Arman, Alex's father. "Study to take care of the household? No, Alex. The one who has to take care of the household is you, not your wife," he said. "The father does not accept rejection. Bik Marni has to stay there, Point!"
"But, Pa ...."
"There's no but-but. Don't you pity to see Bik Marni back and forth? It's the night Alex, you don't have to throw him out."
Alex sniffed in annoyance. "Papa always forces!" his weakness.
"It's all for your own good. Lidya is also still not used to you. Papa's sure, Bik Marni will help him a lot later."
"It is precisely because papa thinks of you that papa marries you to Lidya. Be patient, papa is sure someday you'll love Lidya."
"No way! That's not going to happen, Pa," Alex said.
Arman laughed at his son's reply. "We bet. Papa stays with papa's confidence that you'll fall in love with him."
"Okay, who's afraid?" answer Alex pongah. "What did Papa bet?"
"The papa company in Surabaya, which you have been wanting for a long time," replied Arman. "We bet in five months, how?"
Alex's lips lifted. "good. And Alex will bet all of Alex's for Papa. Deal?"
"Deal!"
"Prepare everything from now on, Pa. Because it has not been five months, Alex will remove Lidya from Alex's life," he sizzled Alex while glancing at Lidya who was busy stirring coffee orders.
"Papa will see how you work. But remember, don't hurt Lidya!"
Alex laughs. "If for that Alex doesn't promise, Pa."
"You're this? Don't be a coward, how dare you be a woman."
Alex laughed loudly and then closed the call unilaterally, without answering the boos from his father.
"Come in, Bik!" tell Alex then. He then stepped towards the dining table, because he saw the coffee he asked Lidya to make.
"Ah, thank goodness. Bibik has been limp waiting here," replied Bik Marni relieved.
"Bibik's room is there" Alex said, pointing to the room next to the kitchen and the back bathroom.
"Ready, Mas." Bik Marni closed the door and quickly stepped into her room.
Lidya smiled faintly. He then brought Alex's coffee and placed it on the table, right in front of Alex. "You want me to make you some toast?" said offer.
Alex just kept quiet and sipped his coffee slowly. A moment later, he did not like it. "What drink is this?"
"Coffee," Lidya answered briefly.
"It's poison!" yell Alex.
"But you're not dead, Alex!" sahut Lidya fast. "Obviously it's coffee, how could you say it's poison?"
Alex snorts. He did not expect Lidya to dare to answer him. All this time no one dared to refute his words.
"Make another new one! I told you, don't be too sweet or bitter, it doesn't taste bad" he exasperated.
"really?" Lidya scoops a little of Alex's coffee and then tastes it. "It's delicious and fitting. Sweet and bitter."
"I'm not asking for your opinion, hurry up and bring it up!" alex's negligent orders left in annoyance. His mood was disturbed due to the arrival of Bik Marni, and now it is getting worse when the coffee he asked for was not in line with his expectations.
Lidya looked at him annoyed. How could he have made it if Alex hadn't said how he wanted to feel?
Bik Marni stepped closer to Lidya. He glanced up and whispered to his wife. "Mas Alex prefers coffee that is slightly sweeter, not bitter sweet" he told the newspaper. Already since Alex was born, he devoted himself to the Arman family, so he was very sorry what are the habits and preferences of Alex. Maybe this was Alex's father and mother's main goal to put him in that house.
"Ah, so. Let me make it again." Lidya immediately cooked the water and prepared a new glass.
"Mbak Lidya must be patient, Mas Alex is so. Lidya will be used to it for a long time."
"Regularly scolded?"
Bik Marni laughs.
