Sephia's Deceptions

Sephia's Deceptions
Wedding Gift

Lidya could not believe it, and now she was sitting at a large dining table, with her parents and in-laws. Half an hour ago he was still lying in the room and sleeping soundly, but suddenly Maria came to wake him up, and said that they had been awaited by Alex's family.

Although reluctant, but Lidya inevitably had to attend the event because from now on he is the only son-in-law of a big businessman, Arman Romani Pradana.

And now the two parents-in-law looked at him with a smile, as if to say that they had not in vain accepted him as the son-in-law of their family.

"We'll wait for Alex for a minute" said Arman, Alex's father. Pramana as well as Lidya and Maria nodded while smiling awkwardly.

"don't you know where your current husband is, Lidya?" ask Rosa, the mother-in-law.

"So Alex was in a hurry, Aunt, Lidya did not have time to ask," replied Lidya.

"Mama, not aunty, my dear son-in-law," Rosa said quickly.

"Ah, forgive Lidya," said Lidya panted.

"You'll get used to it for a long time, son," Arman chuckled. "Alex is having a business meeting with someone, now it's on its way here" he explained.

"Yes Om, um, Pa." Lidya swallowed the saliva with great difficulty. He was still hit with the marriage, still coupled with the self-approach that he had to start getting used to in the family.

"Sorry, Alex is late, a little jammed in the street," said Alex, who had just arrived, breathing heavily. He just sat in an empty chair.

"Sit next to your wife, Lex," said Rosa. "You forgot you were married?"

Alex smiled stiffly and moved to sit next to Lidya who was looking down, staring at her hands crossed over her lap. He looks so awkward to be with that beautiful family.

"Your business is done?" arman asked while looking intently at his only son.

Alex was a little stunned, he was sure his father knew where he was going, before coming to this place. He smiled slightly and then nodded. "Actually it's still not finished, but it can still be continued next time" he replied.

"good. Family events are more important than outside affairs" Arman said.

Alex was only able to nod his head and glanced at Lidya. The woman looked indifferent, despite hiding her trembling hands. Alex noticed it.

"What did you tell my father?" alex whispered suspiciously.

Sontak Lidya lifted her face then looked at Alex questioningly. "What do you mean?"

"You're telling Papa I'm leaving?"

Lidya shook her head.

"Why did he call me? Though my show is still not finished" Alex protested.

Lidya. "Why are you mad at me? I don't know anything."

"Curtain! Pretend naive."

Lidya snorted in annoyance.

"Don't be mad at your wife, did you forget that you had a man?" reprimands Arman who understands Alex's bullying gaze on Lidya. It's nothing, Arman just wants everything to seem okay and look natural in front of besan, who is his best friend. If there is a problem, let it be known only to the family internally, without having to show Pramana.

"Alex is just kidding, Pa," replied Alex.

It's not jealousy that Lidya feels. But her pride is hurt, when she realizes she has married someone who loves someone else. He who has been anti-actor, indirectly has become one of them. No, Lidya really dislikes this situation. But when he saw the faces of his father and mother, he again weakened. How else, everything has happened and he must continue to carry out his role well. I don't know until when.

"Our goal is to invite you to have a meal together this time, in addition to being in touch, we will give a wedding gift to Alex and Lidya" Arman said after they all finished eating.

The face of Pramana sumringah, but in contrast to Mary who actually bowed down embarrassed. He still had not had time to think about the gift for the newlyweds, because of his very sudden return to Indonesia.

While Lidya just silently stared, waiting for her father-in-law to finish talking. At the moment he expects nothing from his family. Because he knew, this marriage was just a business plan, which he himself did not know, until when it would last.

Alex smiled wryly. This time he felt bad, because he knew, his father had been eyeing Lidya for a long time to become his daughter-in-law, without ever asking how the real heart of Alex. Arman always limited his association, including meddling with his girlfriend's problems.

"Alex and Lidya, take it" said Rosa, Alex's mother. He gave an envelope to the front of the newlyweds.

"What is that, Ma?" ask Alex reluctantly.

"You can see for yourself with your wife, take it." Rosa smiled meaningfully at Alex.

"I can't take it, because--."

"Take Alex, this is an order!" urged Arman while looking intently at his son.

"But I'm not-."

"Papa knows you can give anything to Lidya from your own sweat." Alex's speech was cut off by Arman. "But, please take a gift from us that's not this much" he asked.

Seeing a strange look from his father, Alex immediately touched Lidya's arm, asking her to accept the wedding gift.

"Thank you Pa, Ma" Lidya said after receiving the envelope.

"Open up and look at the contents" Rosa said with a big smile.

Lidya looked at Alex, asking her husband for permission to open the envelope. Alex just glanced and nodded at a glance.

Without asking much, Lidya opened the envelope and pulled out two keys, then placed them on the table, in front of Alex.

"What's this?" ask Alex while frowning.

"Lock the house and the car" replied Arman. "We have prepared a new house that you can directly occupy after coming from here," he explained.

Alex clucked slowly. "Too expensive. For a marriage I didn't expect, it's a waste!" the sound in the heart. But what happened was that he smiled and nodded slowly.

"How's Lidya? Like our gift?" asked Rosa who then looked closely at her daughter-in-law's face.

Lidya just smiled and looked at Alex. "If Alex likes it, then Lidya will also like it," he replied later who immediately got a sharp glance from Alex.

Arman and Rosa smiled happily. Her daughter-in-law was more concerned with their son, not thinking of herself. One high score Lidya had gotten from those two people.

While both eyes of Pramana brightly sparkled. The man was about to speak, but Maria held him back, for fear that Pramana would mispronounce which would ruin the atmosphere later.

"Alex doesn't like it" Alex said suddenly.
