Sephia's Deceptions

Sephia's Deceptions
The Difficult Request

Lidya was so surprised to find Alex coming with his father-in-law and two guards. Alex's face looked sour, the man immediately ran to the second floor, towards his room.

"What's going on, Pa?" ask Lidya sungkan.

"Take care of your husband, don't let him wander around indistinctly" replied Arman who sat for a moment on the sofa while rubbing his face rough.

"Don't Alex just leave for the office, Pa?"

Arman chuckles. "You believe me, son? He didn't go there, but ..., ah, that's it, I'm not good to say it. It doesn't matter."

Lidya sighed. Wasn't she Alex's wife, why was her father-in-law so impressed to hide something about Alex from her?

"Why would Lidya make coffee?" Lidya.

"Can. Can you?"

Lidya laughed a little at that. "More than can. Lidya used to make coffee for Papa at home," he replied as he prepared water to cook. Arman continued to watch her intensely. Deep in the bottom of his heart was very sad Alex who still could not accept or love the girl.

"What's it like, living together with Alex?" ask Arman.

Lidya's a little choked. Should he honestly tell his father-in-law if he was not comfortable living there?

"Sir Arman, when is it coming?" bik Marni's scream saves Lidya from Arman's question.

"Where have you been, Bik?"

"I'm out shopping, sir. Will auntie have lunch?"

Arman shook his head. "No need, Lidya has made me coffee" he replied.

Bik Marni immediately approached Lidya and saw a concoction of coffee made by Lidya. "Your habit of drinking coffee is not the same as Mas Alex" he whispered to Lidya.

"Oh yeah?"

Bik Marni nodded. "Make like the first Mbak Lidya made yesterday for Mas Alex. I prefer that taste, sweet and bitter" he said.

Lidya nodded obediently then brewed another coffee according to what Bik Marni suggested. When he finished, Lidya gave Arman a cup of coffee politely. "Please, Pa."

"Hm." Arman inhaled the aroma of coffee while closing his eyes and sipping slowly. He nodded his head while looking at Lidya. "Enak, you're good at brewing coffee, son, too" he said.

Lidya just smiled and then left after making sure the coffee was in accordance with the wishes of her father-in-law.

"Still, Bik," he whispered to Bik Marni who was arranging her groceries into the refrigerator.

Bik Marni just gave a thumbs up while blinking one eye at Lidya.

"Lidya," call Arman. "Let's go for a minute, son, papa wants to talk."

Lidya nodded obediently then immediately sat down near Arman, her father-in-law.

"What do you think about Alex's nature?" asked Arman while looking closely at his daughter-in-law.

"Ehm, Alex well, Pa," Lidya lied. But in his heart little justifies if indeed Alex is good, for he never hurts himself by being rude, other than his words and commandments.

"You sure Alex is good?"

Lidya nodded, initially hesitating a little but then she nodded firmly. "Yes Pa, Alex is good."

Arman smiled mysteriously. "What about your relationship with him?"

"That's fine, Pa."

"Hm, very good?"

Lidya nodded and smiled.

Now Lidya chose to shut up and bow her head. For this matter Lidya really does not know and is very far out of his control, because Alex when out never say goodbye or say something to him.

"Listen, Lidya. Papa knows that actually the communication between you is still not well established, even though you live at home, here. And papa knows very well what Alex's true character is if he finds something that he doesn't like very much, maybe including you," Arman said.

Lidya nodded slowly and continued to listen solemnly to all the words of her father-in-law.

"So, if there's anything, don't hesitate to ask your dad or mama, or you can also talk and ask questions about Bik Marni who has understood about Alex since she was a child," arman continued patiently.

"Yes Pa. For a while Lidya can understand Alex's attitude, because indeed we still do not know before" replied Lidya.

"I appreciate your understanding. Just don't be surprised if at any time you find Alex drunk or come home late at night. That's what he used to do when he was with his friends."

"Yes Pa."

"And one more. Papa asked you for help so that you would try to get close to Alex, melt her heart and turn Alex into a good husband for you, son. Are you willing?"

Lidya was caught hearing it. One request is very difficult for him to do, considering Alex looks so hate him.

"Do you have any doubts?"

Lidya nodded honestly. "That's very hard for Lidya, Pa. Papa knows for himself how hard Alex is" Lidya replied.

"But nothing is impossible, as long as you try. Remember, Alex is your husband, yours! Don't let him out of your grasp." Arman insists.

"That's if Alex wants to keep his status, Pa. Still it would be very difficult if Alex never listened to Lidya."

Arman was silent. Everything Lidya said was true. It would definitely be very difficult if Alex himself did not want to listen to Lidya. Never mind listening, look at Lidya's face as if Alex was reluctant.

Meanwhile Bik Marni who was still in the kitchen, heard everything clearly. He comes to think hard, looking for a way that he can help Lidya melt Alex's heart, although from what he sees, Lidya also still does not love Alex. In his heart he is determined to find the best way to unite Alex and Lidya, if necessary he will work with Rosa, Alex's mother who knows much more about Alex than he does.

"Papa wishes you could do it, Lidya. Not for papa, but for your happiness in the future" Arman continued. He does not want to let go of Alex's desire to divorce Lidya, before he sees how far Lidya's efforts to maintain their household.

"Lidya can't promise, Pa. But Lidya will try," Lidya replied.

"Good, at least you want to try. That's all that matters more. Papa is sure long dark later Alex will melt by itself," said Alex full of confidence.

Lidya just smiled looking at him, while in her heart raging a lot of things. "Over time? How long will it take? Hunting I was tired of myself with my efforts to melt the polar man's heart" Lidya grumbled inwardly.

"Okay, Lidya. Papa go home first. The coffee is good, next time papa comes, make it again like this, yes. You're still sorry, aren't you concocting?"

Lidya laughed crisply. "Of course, Pa," he answered.

Arman teased the mane at the top of Lidya's head and immediately stepped away, accompanied by two loyal bodyguards.

"Don't worry, Madam Lidya, Bik Marni is ready to help," said Bik Marni who turned out to be standing behind Lidya.

"Thank you, Bik. But Lidya wants to calm down and be quiet in a few days" said Lidya.

"Silent in what sense, Ma'am?" ask Bik Marni.

"Stay in the room, please don't disturb, Lidya just needs time to think about everything" explained Lidya.

"But then if Mas Alex is looking for Lidya Ma'am how?" ask Bik Marni lugu.

"There is Bik Marni, for a while I ask for help first Bik, sorry," replied Lidya.

"Just son, it can't be!"

Sontak Lidya and Bik Marni turned her body and turned her head towards the back, looking at the precision of Alex who was standing upright at the end of the lower stairs, staring intently at Lidya.

"What a danger this is, Mas Alex wants war" muttered Bik Marni as she stared worriedly at Lidya.
