Chapter 50 Missing

Josie went down from her apartment to the bottom floor. He looked around, usually Bram appeared without being invited but some days this man disappeared like in the swallow of the earth.

Where's she? why is it never seen again? but it's good that I'm free, nothing bothers me and pisses me off again.

Josie drove her car into the office building. He walked over to his desk. Some of the male staff looked at him in awe and tried to tease him. But free Josie won't be interested in them.

As soon as the meeting began, Sandra was in the room while Bram's chair was empty.

"Hi Josie" said Sandra.

"Hi Sandra" Josie looked at Bram's empty chair. Bram doesn't usually miss meetings like this. Bram's company is a key colleague because it makes sure he is always there at every big meeting.

"Are you looking for Bram?" Sandra asked with a mocking smile.

"No"

"Didn't he tell you where he was going or where he was?"

"No and I don't want to know where he is either"

"Good then, let's start the meeting"

The meeting was quite long and only this time Josie was bored. Usually the job will be number one for him. Attending meetings is a daily meal that makes Josie can show her ability in front of many important people.

But this time it all feels bland, not passionate and tends to get bored.

Josie barely touched the people in the meeting room. His mind wandered without his control. He thought of Bram.

Damnit damnit! Why do I keep thinking about it?

Finally the meeting finished Josie immediately left the room and headed to her desk. He checked his phone, saw Bram's contact. He hesitated to call or ask Bram.

"Where is he why doesn't he show up as usual?"

Josie glanced at her watch already at work. He took the time to eat at his restaurant before returning to his apartment.

Near her desk Josie sees Maura, Bram's sister. Ya Josie was sure it was Maura and she approached the table beside her.

"You...?"

"I'm Josie do you remember? we met here a few days ago when you and your sister had lunch"

"Oh right you're Bram's best friend who thinks I'm his mistress" Maura smiled amusedly. While Josie held back her embarrassment.

"Are you here with Bram?"

"No, I'm here with my girlfriend, Brother Bram is gone"

"Go? Whither? I mean why isn't he at the meeting?"

"My brother went on vacation to a faraway place, I don't know when he'll be back"

"Oh so yeah.Sorry sorry to bother you I have to go now"

"It's nice to meet you, Josie.."

"yes?" Josie stopped her steps.

"Do I need to tell Bram if you ask him how he is?"

"No need, please.I just spontaneously asked Bram because he did not come to the meeting alone"

"All right ..."

Josie enters her car and she immediately curses her stupidity by asking Maura about Bram.

Do I look like I want to know about that shitty guy? This Michelle Josie is no longer right what happened to you?!

Josie arrives at her apartment and is as usual deserted. He misses Bram who suddenly appears at the door of his apartment bringing him dinner as an excuse to stop by and chat.

Now that the man is on vacation somewhere, Josie misses him.
