“Heh? Why did you take it?” emily asked, but it was too late for her to realize that her neck was empty. The crescent moon pendant necklace she had been wearing now had already moved into Jaysen's hands. “Jay! Return my necklace!” he tried to reclaim his artemis necklace. “Jaysen!”
“No! I told you that, right? I hate it when you wear someone else's gift.” said Jaysen put his hand away and put the necklace in his pocket without Emily's knowledge.
Emily moaned angrily, this blind man in front of her really has a very high degree of egoism.
Emily felt hopeless without her being able to hold back again and finally Emily cried.
“Honey? You....why cry?” Jaysen looked tense while Emily's shoulders were already shaking withholding her sobbing and sadness. That handsome face that had always been emotionless was now looking worried.
“Do not cry. Come on....this isn't just a cheap necklace? I can buy you a necklace that costs ten or even a hundred times more!”
Emily did not respond and continued to cry while wiping away her tears and she pushed Jaysen down strongly and she came down from the blind man's lap. The girl felt her chest tight again, being in this house she had absolutely no freedom. Even since she was kidnapped and forcefully brought here, Emily has never once been out of the house or allowed to contact her family.
It could be said that Jaysen actually locked her up perfectly in her golden cage. Therefore, his meeting with Sabrina Saab really gave a fresh breeze for Emily.
He could finally feel a bit of relief from being able to interact with others. Especially when he received a necklace from the designer, for Emily it was a very meaningful gift.
“Egoist basis! His attitude is always willing to win by himself. Never listen to the words of others. Angry is not obvious for no reason! Cunning!” her grunts with a throbbing face and Emily cried again.
“Honey, if you want to talk about others, make sure that person does not listen.” said Jaysen who heard all Emily's complaints clearly.
“Absolutely who is talking about you? How does that feel?”
“Then who else are you looking at from earlier if not me? Is there anyone else?”
“Oh so you feel yes? Kege-eran huh?”
Jaysen did not think that his words would turn to himself. He ruffled his hair in annoyance Jaysen tightly grasped the necklace that triggered the problem.
Sighing, Jaysen approached and hugged Emily directly from behind. “You really like this necklace huh?” whispered Jaysen lowered her head and placed it on Emily's left shoulder. The girl nodded, making him sigh heavily again.
“How about I make a new one that is exactly like this? You want to, right?”
This time Emily shook her head and there was a frown on Jaysen. “Why? It's the same, isn't it? The necklace model will be exactly the same. Later I will impress the diamond pendant to make it look more beautiful and luxurious. Not like this pendant is only decorated swarovski only. That's cheap baby!”
There was no reaction from Emily, now Jaysen was more confused to face the girl.
“I can't see what the original shape of this crescent moon pendant is but just by touching it I can guess that it's definitely not a diamond. Don't you really like something beautiful and luxurious, dear? So there's no problem, right? If this necklace is thrown away?”
Emily remained silent and let go of Jaysen's embrace and walked towards the library door. Just a few steps later, the girl stopped and said. “Cash it.” he said softly.
“But don't ever talk to me again if you really throw that necklace.”
“What?”
“Even an item though is not only judged by its price but also by who gives the item and the sincerity of who gives it.”
There is no truth, it looks like Jaysen is now thinking hard. That kind of thing is ridiculous, right? Isn't everything in the world always judged by its price tag?
“Do not be stupid! Since when did glass become more valuable than diamonds?”
“Can be saj! It all depends on who gave it to you, Jay! It depends on the intention of the person who gave it. Why do I receive a diamond necklace if with that gift I am only considered as a decorative item that can be exhibited?”
“Honey, I don't have a-”
“Then give me back my necklace! It's mine and given specifically to me!”
“What?” Jaysen was surprised and scrunched his forehead.
“You heard what I said? It's mine and you can't take it at will without my permission like that.”
Jaysen groaned desperately and he was still trying to bargain. “Darling, I can give you a necklace that is much more expensive than this. Just tell me what necklace you want, I'll buy for you no matter how much I don't care! As long as you are happy, that's it.” Jaysen said.
“I do not want and will never want my necklace exchanged for another necklace. Give me back my necklace or never talk to me again. Please select!” Emily said firmly.
Jaysen scooped his face rough, he really felt very frustrated.
“Ele...”.
“I'm not Eleanor! Whether you believe it or not, I am not Eleanor! So don't treat me the same way you treat her.” Emily said emotionally.
While Jaysen was cursing in his heart, he was really riled up this time around. The word surrender was never in his dictionary but it seems that right now he has no other choice.
Although very heavy, he eventually chose to give up. “Good. I return this necklace.” he said annoyed with a long sigh. “But not now?”
“What?”
“I'll add something in this necklace. A little decoration on this necklace, at least later this necklace is not really the gift of the woman but there is still my gift as well.”
The smile that Emily had just reviewed when she heard that her necklace would be returned now even faded and changed with astonishment.
“It.....meaning how? Are you still going to make the exact same necklace and trade it? So yeah?”
“Wah darling. It seems your accusation is overrated. I may be a very annoying person as you think but I am not a liar.” Jaysen said as he threw his body onto the sofa, there was a grin appearing on her face that made Emily furrow both of her eyebrows and look at Jaysen full of probing.
“Then? What do you want to do with that necklace actually?”
“Come.” Jaysen stuck his hand out at Emily. “Come dear.”
Sighing her breath, Emily was getting used to it when she welcomed the helping hand, Jaysen would pull and hug and hold her.
“Your necklace will be returned, and I promise about it. But later, after I add a little decoration in the necklace to make it look nicer and more luxurious, okay?” Jaysen stroked and kissed Emily's hair. There was a smile on her handsome face as the girl nodded.
“But, you won't trade it for your homemade necklace right?” ask Emily who still does not fully believe in the blind man. “You must promise you that you will not lie to me by exchanging it for other goods because I will be angry and will never trust you again!”
