Chapter 44. The past (1)

Seeing the scene of Ara and Regan's embrace, it instantly made Bram's blood boil. But he realized his current situation was not good, because he had just drunk a haram drink. Regan's face seemed like a flower that blossomed, she smiled widely and beamed. Finally he can take his heart back to Ratih's house. Along the way, Regan and Ara chat about the campus graduation issues that will be held in another week.

"You're going, aren't you, Ra? To the dinner after graduation?" ask Regan to Ara.

"If Mia comes with me, too, sir."

"Is it because of that woman?"

"Most of the reasons are because of him." admits Regan.

"Good, Grandpa also likes that woman. Take it home and get married, don't mind your mama. You know that, right? Grandpa always supported you."

"Yes cake, she just got divorced and I don't think this is the right time" Regan replied.

"Well, then..when are you going back home?"

"One more week, give me one more week, cake."

After the phone connection was cut off, Regan drove the car and reached her apartment. Regan enters the apartment she lives in alone. The man entered his room and he saw two plastic rings stopped hello Kitty.

Regan chuckles at the plastic ring. "Why don't you want to be with me Ra? Same as our childhood?"

#Flashback

17 Years ago.

That afternoon in Mekarwangi village.

A 10-year-old boy was running around in the rain with his footwear next to him. His body looks bloody. The boy was crying with his frightened face.

The boy is little Regan, he is chased by some strange masked men and dressed all in black. The men were big and very fierce. They also carried sharp weapons, celurit, knives, even pistols.

At that time the state of the village was so quiet and far from the crowd. Rarely seen houses there and make the situation increasingly gripping because of heavy rain.

"Where are you little boy? Get out or you're dead!"

"Just relax, we just want to know where the toy car is!" a man shouted in a loud voice.

While Regan's still hiding behind the wall there. "Help me, O Allah.Help me..." Inner Regan sobbed.

"Where is the boy? I'm sure he's here!"

"Damn it! We need to know where the toy car is" said a man with hunting breath.

In the rain, a girl in her 5s was carrying a pink umbrella with a sailor moon on it. He was very brave to walk in the rain alone. He saw Regan hiding behind the bushes.

"What's that kid doing there?" little Ara murmur. "Why does he look scared?" he added that once he saw Regan was scared and hiding from the man.

Then one of the men began to approach the bushes. Ara also ran up to the big men bravely.

"Hey little boy! Why are you alone out of this rain?" ask one of them.

"I've bought medicine for my mom, but what's going on here? Um like to find something?" ask Ara plain. With a glance of eyes glanced towards Regan. Regan looks panicked and Ara sees blood on Regan's leg.

Ara also saw weapons in the hands of those men, real weapons.

"Yes dek, nyari nyari little boys...who knows adek see?" ask a gentle man.

No, please don't tell me. Inner Regan hopes.

"Oh.tadi I saw om, there's an older brother running away there om!" point Ara in the opposite direction from there. The four masked men looked unconvinced by Ara's words.

"Dec, don't you lie? Lying sin youh, later in angry sir ustadz!"

"You didn't lie, did you, deck? Did you really see that big brother there?" ask one of the men to little Ara.

"Yes, if you don't believe me already." said Ara with his cue.

Eventually the four men went in the opposite direction to Regan's hideout. "Sister! It's safe, brother, let's get out!"

Regan stared at Ara with sadness, since then she has been holding a feeling for the little angel who helped her.

"Thank you angel." said Regan, replying to Ara's hand.
