Chapter 30 - Entered Islam

Felix has made such a big plan and even arranged to prepare in advance, a marriage with a covenant that becomes a handle. Make every effort because it still does not accept the result of his best friend Simon converted and married a woman who is Muslim. He used to give his blessing as a friend who gave their likes and sorrows, but because friends seemed not to consider it there and betrayed. A burning grudge forced him to do this, for a dozen years he held a grudge. 

"Keep trying for everything, Simon. I will not let you one step ahead of me, the little girl will soon be my wife. Hah, people must think I'm a pedophile." He murmured in his heart while gulping alcohol. The puff of cigarette smoke that became opium until his lips blackened, had already made full preparations to deal with the people who tried to block his plan. 

Felix walked back to Rasidha's room, no matter how she screamed to be sent home. 

"Please, give me back!" strangled Rasidha from inside the room while banging on the door a few times. 

Felix smiled as he listened to the sobs of the girl, opened the door and threw a paper bag. "Quick change your clothes, because soon we'll be getting married!" he said with a cold face.

Rasidha threw the paper bag at Felix and refused to marry a man of different faiths. "Don't force this marriage, because I'm only going to marry a man who has the same God." 

"What happens when marriage happens?" 

"Marriage is considered invalid, and the covenant is also invalid." Said Rasidha boldly. 

"All right, I'll be back later." Felix came out of the room and locked her up, thinking of the words of the girl who rejected him. "Who does he think he is? All this time no woman has rejected my charm, even still looking handsome at my age." His monologue was thinking of trapping an innocent girl into being his wife legally according to law and religion.

Now Felix is looking for all the information about Islam, how the legal requirements to marry Rasidha. Abstinence for him to step back to do everything, continue to advance even though he has to embrace Islam. 

"Justin!" call him in a high voice. 

"Yes, what's calling me?" 

"Do you know what Islam is?" asked Felix who made two eyebrows Justin furrowed, because his adopted brother was never interested in Islam and even hated it. 

"Why suddenly ask this?" 

"You don't need to know, it's my business. What are the requirements to be able to legally embrace Islam?" ask Felix.

Justin increasingly did not understand the mindset of his adoptive brother, because Felix was so anti-Muslim, but now even inversely proportional. "What's wrong with her?" he murmured in the heart. "I know, if someone wants to convert, they have to read two sentences." 

"What two words?" 

"Let's go, I forgot that part. I read only half of it" said Justin who secretly began to learn what Islam is, the influence of Rasidha is so strong that he was so curious about the religion of Allah subhanallah ta'ala. 

"Ck, you're not reliable. I didn't think you were secretly studying Islam." Cibir Felix is ignored by Justin. 

"Why do I want to learn it? That's my right anyway. I began to admire the Muslims who always make me feel calm and comfortable," Justin said honestly, he had fortified himself before finding Felix who certainly did not accept his words. But he was very confused, because his foster brother just kept quiet and digested his words, what an attitude he had only seen for the first time.

"Is there anything else I can be a Muslim?" 

"Hem, will you one day embrace Islam?" 

"Maybe," said Justin who passed away leaving Felix who was still swallowing his words.

Felix was silent for a while and stepped out of his residence, now he was walking in an uncertain direction. 

During the day, he felt very hungry and rested in a small restaurant. As always, choose to sit away from people and enjoy the food without anyone bothering. A few moments later, a very melodious voice was heard chanting to call the people of Muslim religion in performing worship, do not know why he felt an unknown vibration, why he enjoyed the beautiful sound of the Adhan that soothed his heart.

Felix hurriedly finished his lunch and immediately paid the bill, a face that was still confused by staring at someone working at the place. "Where did that sound come from?" 

"The Adhan's voice was in the mosque not far from here, five shops away."

"Hem."

Felix who was still confused, somehow he was so curious about the sound of the Adhan because before he hated the sound so much. His heart was moved to step away on foot towards a mosque that was so magnificent, even the splendor of it and also the clean environment a little amazed him. He walked into the mosque, saw several rows of men who were performing the prayer. 

Felix just kept silent while looking around, looking at the magnificent architecture with Arabic carvings that he himself did not know the meaning.wait until some people one by one left the mosque, one by one, step foot in when someone who is an imam at the mosque has just finished praying and wants to leave. 

"I saw you notice, what's the matter?"

"Are you an ustadz or a kyai?"

"I'm an ustadz, can anyone help?" 

"I want to convert to Islam, what are the conditions that I must fulfill?" 

"Is it from your heart or for some other reason?"

At once Felix was silent to the words of the ustadz, he also did not know why he suddenly intended to enter the religion of Islam when he was hostile to it. "I want to convert to Islam and also marry want to marry a girl from Islam." 

"It seems I saw that it was from your own heart, let's follow me!" the Ustadz invited the blue-eyed man to follow him and several witnesses with the welcome of a new brother. 

Somehow Felix suddenly felt something very different seeing some people who were witnesses because he would embrace Islam, but there also a sense of trembling in the hands and cold sweat. The middle-aged man wearing the turban smiled as it was already common. "If you're sure then we can say two sentences of shahadah."

"I'm sure."

"Alright, follow me carefully." 

The ustadz guided Felix to utter two sentences of the holy creed, after asking the man to take ablution first, several witnesses. Until finally, the blue-eyed man has officially embraced Islam and welcomed by some people who gave congratulations.
