A month later...
The wedding day that awaited finally came, Raline wore a golden white kebaya. That girl is so beautiful and so graceful.
Meanwhile, Harlan, wearing a black suit, sat opposite Alka and watched hundreds of pairs of eyes.
His heart was pounding, sweat started pouring down his forehead. Yes, of course he is very nervous especially he will accompany a woman for the rest of his life and of course this is also the most beautiful gift for his biological mother.
Alka's eyes look teary, she will release her daughter to a man who makes her second child fall in love. There is a sense of sadness, when Raline will be with others but as a parent she should not be selfish because the happiness of her daughter is the main thing.
Right at 9am, Harlan said the sacred promise of marriage by clasping Alka's hand aloud.
"Well..!" shouted one of the wedding witnesses.
Making the guests give thanks for the sacred promise went smoothly, as did Raline who was waiting in her room.
After completing the kabul, Raline also appeared flanked by two women who are very dear to her, namely Rani and Shireen.
Harlan from a distance shed her tears, Raline slowly approached her husband.
Harlan stretched out her hand and Raline grabbed it with a smiling face.
Harlan kissed his wife's forehead and the two sat back at the table bearing witness to the wedding vows.
After signing various papers, the two posed for rings and wedding books.
"Why are you so beautiful today?" harlan whisper.
"I don't know either, Om."
"Don't call me Om if you don't want me to bite you!"
"It must be very exciting if bitten by Mas Harlan," Raline teased.
"Watch on tonight, yeah." Harlan smiled grinningly.
Raline pushed her lower lip.
"I can't wait to eat it" Harlan said quietly.
"Patience, Mas. You'll have to wait a few more hours waiting for the night" Raline said.
The two brides' jokes came to a halt as several guests approached them congratulating.
Meanwhile, Varrel waits for Aurel and his family in the building's parking lot. Shortly after, the black car stopped in front of him.
A girl wearing a navi-colored knee-length party dress threw a smile at him.
Varrel returned that smile.
"Sorry we arrived late" said Mr. Raka.
"It's okay, sir. The event is still going on, too" Varrel said.
"Maclum, Aurel was very long time ago grooming," said Mr. Raka's wife.
"Wasn't my old mom grooming her?" Aurel replied to her by weaving her face.
Varrel just smiled.
Walking into the reception building, Varrel introduced his future-in-law to his parents.
Alka welcomed Raka's hand with a smile. "Thank you for being present."
"I should thank you for inviting us" said Raka.
Alka smiled as did Shireen.
"After our daughter got married, I wanted to come visit Mr. Raka's house to propose to Aurel as my daughter-in-law. Is Mr Raka and wife willing?" ask Alka.
"Of course," replied Raka excitedly.
Aurel and Varrel throw each other smiles.
-
Aurel and her parents congratulated the bride and groom before they went home.
"Happy for you, yes!" said Raka's wife.
"Thank you, Auntie!" harlan and Raline.
"Goodbye to new life" said Raka.
"Thank you, Uncle," Harlan said and replied with a smile by Raline.
"Oh, this is his future wife Kak Varrel" Raline chirped as Aurel stood before him.
The girl just smiled shyly.
"It's so pretty that Varrel fell in love" Raline said.
"For sure, I didn't choose wrong, did I, '" Varrel said proudly.
Both the bride and her parents Aurel chuckled.
"Let's go down, there are still a lot of beautiful guests," asked Mama Aurel.
All four came down.
"I've never seen Varrel that much enthusiasm for a girl" Harlan said.
"Yes, I hope Aurel doesn't hurt Brother Varrel" Raline said.
-
Aurel's parents bid farewell to Varrel and Alka but not the girl who remained in the reception hall.
Varrel clasps Aurel's hand back into the wedding hall. "I'll introduce you to my other family."
Aurel greeted Grandma Lilis with a smile.
"You're Varrel's friend?"
"Yes, Grandma."
"Beautiful."
"Thank you, Grandma."
"He's going to be a granddaughter-in-law, Grandma." Varrel Whisper.
Lilis smiled, "It turns out my granddaughter is all grown up!"
Varrel and Aurel looked at each other and smiled.
"May you be a fool" said Lilis.
"Thank you, Grandma." Varrel smiled.
The two greeted the other guests.
