From these events finally many hadiths that tell about how the role of lizard in complicating the spread of Islam in the time of Prophet Ibrahim AS.

Among them is in a Muslim hadith that tells that lizard is the main suspect who blew and enlarged the fire so that burning Prophet Ibrahim US.

“In the past, it was the lizard who blew and enlarged the blaze that burned Ibrahim.” (CHR. Muslim).

Sunah Killed the Lizard and

The law of killing lizards in Islam is Sunah. This is due to the story of the lizard who eventually sided with Namrud Ibn Kan’an, to join in burning Prophet Ibrahim AS.

Some hadiths even strongly encourage Muslims to kill lizards who got the title as a faciq animal from the Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu Alaihi Wa sallam.

Imam Nawawi in the Muslim shahih sharah mentions ‘illat that lizard is classified as a faciq animal because it is an animal that gives the impact of harm and disturb humans.

In addition to being based on the story of lizards who are hostile to da'wah, the advice to kill lizards in Islam is also based on logical things such as the negative influence of lizard on human health.
