"Come, crown prince" said prince Zhan then embracing Xuan Lan's waist possessively. They then walked out towards the Xiao empire.

"It is better if we use the fast track" said the prince Gui.

"Quick lane?" asked Prince Zhan and Xuan Lan simultaneously.

"Yes, you can follow me" said Prince Gui.

Xuan Lan and prince Zhan followed in the footsteps of prince Gui. Prince Gui turned his steps away from the place that people used to go to towards the Xiao empire.

"Don't this even get any further?" ask prince Zhan.

"Let's see" said Prince Gui with a smile. Xuan Lan and prince Zhan then chose silence and followed the Gui prince.

Soon they had reached the border of the demon forest. Perhaps fifty more steps they would reach the borders of the Xiao empire. They continued their steps again, apparently the prince of Gui chose to cross the western boundary of the Xiao empire because there was a shortcut between the western gate and the demon forest.

Xuan Lan and Prince Zhan had just learned that the west gate was quite close to their headquarters. Usually they would pass through the north gate to head for the Xiao empire.

The three siblings then went to the Xiao imperial palace. The soldiers and servants looked down respectfully as Xuan Lan, prince Zhan and prince Gui walked past them and some were even very happy that Xuan Lan and prince Zhan had already returned until he was unaware that he had not paid his respects to the three earlier.

"I'm going to my residence first to concoct this herb" Xuan Lan said then left just like that.

Prince Zhan and prince Gui were still silent at their place. The awkward atmosphere again enveloped them.

"Ehm, how are you?" ask the stale Gui Basa prince.

"As you can see" said Prince Zhan.

"Oh, yeah don't you know how to greet guests?" ask prince Zhan.

"Oh, sorry what if we go straight to the Emperor Xiao's residence?" ask prince Gui.

"Whatever" said Prince Zhan.

The two of them then walked towards the black dragon residence, the residence belonging to emperor Xiao. As prince Gui began to open the door of the residence suddenly prince Zhan made a sound.

"I'm thirsty, don't you prepare a drink for me?" asked Prince Zhan then he immediately sat in the gazebo which was in the courtyard of the black dragon residence.

Prince Gui took his breath in. He then asked the servant to bring snacks and drinks for Prince Zhan. The servant immediately went to prepare it. Prince Gui then approached Prince Zhan who was sitting in the gazebo.

"It's been a long time that we've not been like this" said Prince Gui as he looked up.

Prince Zhan only glanced at Prince Gui, choosing not to respond.

"The last time was probably when mom was still around" said prince Gui.

"There is no need to discuss your past before me, crown prince Xiao Gui. If you continue what you say, you will regret it yourself. Who is eroding the distance between us? Every time I wanted to protect my sister you were always mad at me and you always said 'Because of her we can't feel mother's affection'"

"When do you know if my sister has never even felt motherly affection at all, how many years have you felt motherly affection, prince Gui?" prince Zhan asked while Prince Gui was silent.

"You can't answer that, can you? Even mom always asks us to look after the sister who will be born from her womb, but you? Ah, I'm sorry. I don't mean to talk like that but you never talk about the past in front of me" Prince Zhan said.

Soon a waiter came to bring them snacks and tea.

"Please, prince" said the waiter politely and then he left.

After that Xuan Lan came up with a tray in her hands. The tray contained a large bowl, a small bowl and a glass of water and a spoon. He then approached Prince Zhan and Prince Gui who were silent to each other.

"Come, we go inside" Xuan Lan said to the two of them.

The two men then stood up. Prince Gui opened the door for Xuan Lan as well as prince Zhan. They then stepped their feet into the residence of the black dragon.

"Make him open his eyes" Xuan Lan whispered to Prince Gui.

"Why don't you?" ask Prince Gui.

"Yes, I'll be back" Xuan Lan said as she twisted her body.

"Dad, wake up and eat" said the prince of Gui as he slightly shook Emperor Xiao's body.

Emperor Xiao awoke from his sleep. He stared at Prince Gui for a long time.

"Father is not hungry" he said slowly.

"But, I never eat. How can you not be hungry?" asked prince Gui in wonder.

"Go back" said Emperor Xiao, refusing the request of Prince Gui.

"If you want to apologize to me and Zhan gege, this is not the way to go" Xuan Lan said flatly.

Emperor Xiao felt very familiar with the voice. He then turned his body to look at the owner of the voice. Her tears were shed as she looked at her two children who were in front of her. He then rose from his position but could not because his body was so weak.

"Stop there" Xuan Lan said, then walked over.

"Did it hurt?" xuan Lan and Emperor Xiao asked in silence.

"It sure hurts, right? You can't even get close to us. You as a guilty father should approach your child who you haven't seen for a long time instead of us coming at you" Xuan Lan said flatly.

"Look at it all because of your own actions, you tortured yourself and it was completely useless" he added.

Emperor Xiao lowered his gaze. He did not dare to look at Xuan Lan.

"Have you been satisfied with the pain? Do you want to increase again hm?" xuan Lan asked but emperor Xiao still did not answer her.

"If only being asked to speak to the statue I'd better return" Xuan Lan said as she turned around.

"Lan'er wait" said emperor Xiao in the end.

Xuan Lan stopped in place but she had yet to turn her body.

"I'm sorry father, I'm sorry" Emperor Xiao said.

"Then? Do you think that with you not eating like this I will pity and forgive you?" asked Xuan Lan.

"You should have a high spirit if you really want to apologize to me. If you're dead and you haven't got my forgiveness, do you think your whole problem could just be solved in another realm?" ask Xuan Lan again.

He then approached Emperor Xiao and gave him the herbs he had mashed earlier.

"Drink this" Xuan Lan said. Emperor Xiao initially covered his mouth but with a sharp gaze Xuan Lan finally emperor Xiao took the medicine.

Xuan Lan then fed Emperor Xiao with the porridge he had made. The porridge was still warm, emperor Xiao cried as he ate the porridge.

"Did it feel so bad that you cried?" asked Xuan Lan.

Emperor Xiao shook his head.

"It's very tasty, it's the most delicious food I've ever eaten" he said.

Xuan Lan then helped emperor Xiao drink the water. After that he told Emperor Xiao to go back to sleep.

"Father does not want to sleep" said emperor Xiao.

"You want to get worse?" xuan Lan asked tightly and emperor Xiao shook his head.

"I can forgive you but there are conditions" Xuan Lan said again.

"Condition?" emperor Xiao and Prince Gui said simultaneously.
