Starting from a drought disaster that occurred in the village of Turi which is not known what causes it. The disaster caused huge losses to all the villagers, the majority of whom were farmers.
Until one day, a shaman from Turi village announced to all the residents that the disaster happened because the spirit of the mountain guard in the village was angry, because there is no more offering to him in the form of blood from the most beautiful woman in the village.
The residents who heard the shaman's remarks believed it was due to the belief of a story that had been passed down in the village of Turi.In the village it has a belief in an invisible figure who is believed to be the guardian of the village.
It is said that the figure of the guard is a king of the ancient Kingdom who thirsts for good looks and is also famous for his greed.
The king believed that the blood of a beautiful woman would make his face look younger and more handsome. Because of his belief, he finally asked the soldiers in the Kingdom to announce that the king was in need of a woman who fit the criteria he wanted to be appointed his empress.
After the announcement was made, beautiful women throughout the kingdom, even outside the kingdom flocked to take the empress selection test without knowing the true purpose of the selection.
Twenty women were selected at the event. Before entering the selection test, the women were told to sign a letter in which the letter contained a covenant, that anyone who had been chosen to be the king's consort, would no longer be allowed to see his family.
Twenty of the chosen ones had already signed the treaty, so the women were already owned by the King. Whatever the king does to his queens is no longer anyone else's business.
Some of the women went through wonderful times in a few days with the king, until just on the full night, all the empresses were gathered in one room.
The empresses were puzzled and wondered about their purpose in gathering. The room was sealed from the outside, and there were only twenty soldiers, one shaman, and the king.
The room had two places, the first place was where the women were gathered, and the other place was where no one wanted to go.
After everything had been gathered, the king finally ordered the twenty soldiers to hold one by one the woman, and closed their eyes and mouths.
The women tried to resist and kept asking questions. No one answered any of their questions, until they finally knew their purpose at the place, when one of them was brought into the other room.
The sound of a sick scream pierced through the cover of his mouth. That night was a tragic event in the history of the kingdom. The blood from the woman's body filled every corner of the king's bathtub, the cruel king with a sweet smile emanating on his face enjoying every bit of blood attached to his burly body.
The king who had done such an evil act did indeed get a face that was getting more handsome, but that handsome face did not make his age increase. The king's death led all his inhabitants to believe that the spirit of the king was still there.
And residing at the top of the mountain as the guardian spirit of the area, they also believe that if the spirit is not given offerings in the form of female blood, then the area around the mountain will get havoc.
The story is believed to be hereditary to the next generation. That is why without a second thought and without effort to find out the true cause of the drought that occurred ', the villagers began to look for the most beautiful women in his village as an offering/the fall of the spirit of the king they believed in.
After searching here and there, finally the villagers decided to choose the child of a poor man named Miranda as a victim. The woman was married two years ago and is now pregnant with her first child who is 6 months in the womb. Her husband is currently looking for a job in the city for the cost of the birth of his baby.
Miranda is a beautiful and gentle woman, because her beauty and kindness make many men want to marry her. But in the end he rejected all the men who had proposed to him, and instead chose to marry his childhood friend who also liked him.
The citizens gathered and discussed about Miranda which they wanted to make a collision, but it is unexpected that Miranda's father accidentally heard the conversation of the residents and immediately rushed home to tell Miranda to immediately run away from this village.
With a worried face, Miranda's father immediately packed the clothes of the two of them, and immediately fled the village through the forest. Unexpectedly the citizens who had expected it, managed to find them and immediately pulled Miranda to come with him.
Miranda's father knelt down pleading with tears running down his cheeks, asking the people not to make his son a victim because he was pregnant with his first grandchild, and Miranda was the only child who was always by her side.
The villagers ignored the old man's words and instead said inappropriate words to him even to his late wife.
Villagers continued to drag Miranda's body to the beheading place that was at the top of the mountain. Along the way came the crying voice of Miranda and also her father asking for his love to the heartless citizens who were around him.
Like the way the soldiers of old made offerings, the head and mouth of the person to be offered must be closed. The shaman who gave the solution to the villagers, became the one who would end the poor woman's life.
A sharp cutting weapon landed on his head, blood flowing down into the jug. His father who witnessed it cried hysterically and shouted words of curse to all those who had seized his son and grandson.
"This village will have greater calamity, and will vanish into the light. Full night bears witness to my frustration, you will all feel a pain more than my current pain!!!". Shouted the old man, a full moon shining down on the mountain peak, moans of rain began to drench the ground and extinguish the flames on the torch.
People cheered happily because they felt they had managed to make the protective spirit happy with their offerings. Miranda's father walked slowly to Miranda's place, blankly embracing her son's body and stroking his stomach slowly.
"My granddaughter, I'm sorry your grandfather failed to save your mother and you. I'm sure God will avenge all these demons". Innocently everyone came down from the hill leaving the old Grandpa who was stroking his son's stomach elus.
Down there on the hill, they party a day and night without any guilt. A few weeks after the donation, everything went well in the village. Until a village again experienced an unreasonable incident.
A number of caterpillars and maggots damaged their crops, the villagers became confused and thought that the slaughtered women were not enough and that made the protective spirits give another disaster to the village.
The caterpillars and maggots spread rapidly, sending the village back into a food crisis. They decided to look for another woman to be made an offering by a protective spirit.
On that day, the husband of Miranda returned to his hometown. She happily hugged a large teddy bear and also some baby equipment. Along the way he passed, he felt that something was wrong with the views of the people around him.
Feeling that something was wrong, he hurriedly stepped towards his wife's residence. Before going inside, with effort he did not think strangely. He slowly opened the door and called out the name of his wife as well as his father-in-law, a sense of worry re-growing in his mind.
He anxiously put his things away and went to ask where his wife and in-laws were now to the neighbors. Some of the people he asked were just pretending not to know where he was, and to the point where one of the villagers said that his wife and father-in-law were on the mountain praying to the protective spirit.
Hearing that made it straight to the top of the mountain, his feelings of worry did not go away until he actually made sure that his wife as well as his father-in-law, along with his son were fine.
Hastily he climbed the top of the mountain, his feelings of worry slowly creeping as he watched his father-in-law sitting on the ground in front of a pile of dirt higher than his seat.
Slowly he approached his father-in-law and reached for his shoulder. He was immediately shocked to see the condition of his father-in-law who was very thin and looked blankly.
Instantly worried about his return and slowly he asked his father-in-law about the state of his wife and child in the womb.
She was shocked when her father-in-law pointed to the land before her. His eyes widened to see a name engraved on the surface of the ground.
"Miranda" Calling it a quivering voice, he once again asked his father-in-law about his wife's situation.
Slowly the old man said. "The demons have taken everything away from me just because of their belief in something that never existed in this place at all" said the grandfather with tears that were already unstoppable. The grandfather also pointed at the large stone and a jug filled with red liquid in that place.
Without asking any more, the man had already understood the events that had befallen the family as long as he was not in the village. Without a second thought, he picked up the jug and went down the hill with his father-in-law.
Surrounding the village, he spilled gasoline and lit a fire. The fire spread quickly due to the strong wind, he headed to the center of the village with his right hand holding the jug, and his left hand holding the torch.
All the villagers gathered watching him, he looked at all the villagers with hateful gazes after which directly attached the torch to his body which made it burn, everyone who witnessed it did not react and just silently looked at it.
Until finally he was burned, people who were in the village that had been just silent now became panicked to see the flames surrounded the village. They frantically tried to extinguish the fire that spread quickly, but it was all for nothing.
The citizens who eventually lost their despair finally gave up and let themselves be swallowed by the hot light, some also tried to save themselves by jumping into a large well near an orphanage. It all ended just like that with the state of the village that had been burned out without rest.
