Patok Tumbal Village

Patok Tumbal Village
CHAPTER 28 FINAL

Rain started to fall, making the road more slippery. Jamal paused for a while on a tree larger than any other tree. He felt very tired from running for hours, only to avoid the figures chasing them earlier.

He lowered his head, his gaze was blank as well as his already very messy mind. Not long ago he rested, suddenly a machete floated about the tree he was sitting on. He regained his senses and quickly rose from his place.

Jamal quickly pulled the machete behind him, and made it as a weapon to fight the figures who surrounded him.

"Chi.., ko cave is very stupid, already know that the pursuers are not humans, but instead run away and hide" said Jamal grinning. "Well, now let's go forward here jerk" Jamal's fishing rod, while moving the machete he held.

The figures did not move at all, and eventually disappeared just like that. Jamal breathed a sigh of relief, his hand shaking so violently because he thought he would actually cut the figure.

Jamal who had felt relieved, suddenly thought of the condition of his other themes. He quickly moved towards the village via another route. When climbing to the top, Jamal had fallen several times because of the very slippery soil conditions.

The increasingly heavy rain, as well as the very dark atmosphere, almost led Jamal to another path. But fortunately Jamal can find the location of the village, because it is illuminated by the light of the full moon.

When he got up there, Jamal seemed to be no longer surprised, because he had seen the state of the village was badly destroyed before. Jamal stepped around the village, but could not find any of its themes.

After remembering, Jamal finally knew where to look. He looked up at the top, and rushed up there. The figures who were in the village, did not follow Jamal at all. It made Jamal confused, and felt that there was something strange about them. Just like in the forest earlier, all those figures instantly disappeared.

The moonlight helped guide Jamal, Jamal stopped in the middle of the road when he saw Alia running towards him with a very frightened look on her face.

- Earlier

Early on, Fitri, and the other citizens finally arrived at the top of the mountain. They put all the things that he brought to the side of the big new one that was near the tree. All the people who came were seated cross-legged around the stone. Fitri and Awal only witnessed what the citizens did.

"So this is the reason residents choose to perform traditional ceremonies at night" Bisik Fitri stared at the moon.

"Well, although the torch died from the rain, there is still a moon that helps to shine." Early reply while recording.

After praying, the people stood up and were silent for a while. Fitri and Awal still consider it part of the traditional ritual ceremony, and still behave normally.

But suddenly the four residents walked up to the two of them, the hands of Fitri and Awal they held tight. It upset Awal and asked what they meant by holding him and Fitri.

"Cumbent" Saut Bu Ningsih. "Our kindness to you must certainly be answered, and the reply you must give is a collision" said Bu Ningsih once again.

"Mom's kidding, right?" Tanya Fitri was terrified.

"Yes right!, mother must be kidding haha" Saut Early agitated.

"It is impossible for us to joke in front of a protective spirit" replied a grandfather-grandfather who was a shaman in the village.

The grandfather had come from nowhere, but his arrival made Fitri and Awal even more frightened. Early trying to break away from the stranglehold of residents, as well as Fitri.

"Sir, Miss Ningsih please let us go, we do not admit any mistakes, but why should we accept this treatment" said Fitri pleaded. "Oiya, Ms. Susi once said that the victim is a beautiful woman, then I'm especially unlikely Early to be a collision" continued Fitri increasingly panicked.

"Who wants to subvert men, and who says that you are not beautiful, but Alia is more suitable to make a collision than you. But there is another spirit that always bothers us to seize Alia (which is meant by Kaila and three women who have been made into a collision) "Reply Bu Ningsih frankly.

"Haha, your numbers are many, so why don't you fight the spirits that are against you?!" Upset Fitri.

"Silent Fitri!" Gerak Beginning.

"Huh?, silence?. You told me to shut up when I wanted to be killed with them!" Saut Fitri did not accept. "And what does mother mean by spirit?, can all of you see such a thing?, haha don't ngaco you!!" Ask Fitri who is already very angry.

"We can see the spirit you say?. Of course, because we are also spirits" replied Bu Ningsih.

Fitri and Awal of course are increasingly fighting against his fear ranking. But their resistance was useless, the beginning who did not want to be silent was forced to remain silent by them, by stabbing his stomach. Fitri screamed out a scared and surprised horn, his body went limp, and finally collapsed.

Two residents who detained him earlier, immediately danced Fitri's body and laid it on a large rock they worshiped. The shaman pulled out his chrysanthemum and held onto the skin of Fitri's neck. Slowly he put the chrysanthemum into Fitri's neck, then moved it left and right, until a thick red liquid came out.

The sight was seen directly by Alia who had just arrived. His body pecked, his hair goosebumps, and his breath became very heavy. He was bent on the ground, and saw the body of Early who was lying still in a semi-conscious state.

"A-Alia ran away" Saut Awal tried to speak.

"At first, can you see me?" Shocked Alia while shedding tears.

"What do you mean, ohok" said Early until blood came out of his mouth.

"Early plis don't talk first, hang on, I-I'll get help!" Panic Alia.

"Help under these circumstances?, everything is not on Alia's side." Early Saut. "Please go and promise me to get out of this village in good condition. Quick run, do you not see the eyes of those who are watching you, they all intend to make you also fall" continued Awal trying to talk more.

Not long after, Awal finally breathed his last. Alia cried bitterly watching the death of her friend. Now there is no other choice but to get out of this village as he promised the Beginning, before the Beginning goes away for all eternity.

All the citizens turned into their original figures, and attempted to capture Alia. Alia ran down the mountain with all her might, her knees until she was bleeding more blood than before. Even so, he did not give up at all and continued to run.

Alia knew that running and hiding were not the best options, but she could do nothing more than that. Once again he fell to the point of making all his clothes dirty, he tried to get up again, and ran again.

Until finally he saw Jamal who was running towards him as well. They finally meet and embrace, Alia letting go of all her sadness. Seeing Alia's situation like that, Awal also tried to stay strong. Because he knew, if he was sad then it would only add to Alia's sadness.

The two of them let go of his embrace, and looked at each other under the torrent of rain.

"Alia strengthen yourself, I do not know what kind of thing you just saw, but for now we have to get out of the village of Turi" Jamal said trying to calm Alia.

"Well then, are you still strong enough to run?" Ask Jamal.

Alia answered him by nodding her head, which meant yes. They held hands and ran together.

"Don't be afraid Alia, they won't chase you because I'm with you" Shouted Jamal trying to calm Alia's mind.

"Where are we going now?" Alia asked as she turned around occasionally to the back.

"We're going home anyway, the car's done, so we can get out of here" Jamal replied.

"Then what about Ulan, Budi, and Dirga? " Tanya Alia was worried.

Jamal stopped his steps, and turned towards Alia. Budi said that Dirga fell abysmal, and most likely died, while Budi had found in the forest in a state of lifeless again.

Jamal actually did not want to tell Alia, but Alia would definitely not want to leave here before finding another one.

"Then where is Ulan" asked Alia in a low tone, looking down.

"I don't know either" replied Jamal.

"Then let's find Ulan first!" Gertak Alia is worried.

"Alia, please stop thinking about the others at this time, we assume that Ulan has also killed them. So let's go Alia" persuaded Jamal.

"What do you mean?!" Pissed Alia. "So Ulan can still be fine!" Alia concluded.

"Well in these circumstances?, don't joke Alia, right now we have to worry about ourselves. If Ulan is still alive, he will find his own way to get out of this place, after all he knows how to drive and there is still one car he can use to escape" Jamal tried to remain patient.

Plaque...

A slap landed right on Jamal's cheek, Jamal who was finally unable to be patient again decided to make Alia faint. He apologizes to Alia first, and finally hits the back of Alia's neck until she collapses.

* * * *

When Alia wakes up, she realizes that she is in the car.

"Jamal?, you made me faint, huh!?" Alia asked a little annoyed.

"Sorry Alia, I have no other way, on the one hand I also can not think well anymore.I hope you understand my decision" replied Jamal bluntly.

"I should be the one apologizing, because it's been too selfish" Alia replied. "We're on the road?" Alia asked who was lying in the back seat.

Currently Alia's body was really very tired, even to the point that it was difficult to move.

"We are not going yet, we are still here" Jamal replied. "I had a little trouble deciding my choice, whether I should walk and bump into them all, or continue like this" Jamal said looking towards the front full of the bodies of citizens who had become spirits/devils.

"This time, I'll choose to bump into all of them. I don't know why I feel vengeance against them all, I know this is wrong, but this heart can't lie" Alia said.

"Thank you for being honest, then I will choose what you have chosen" Jamal smiled.

Jamal blames the car, and immediately gasps to hit the figures blocking the road. As the car made it past them, Alia forced her body to get up and look back.

He was so astonished to see Dirga standing in a state full of blood in front of the figures. Alia wants to tell Jamal, but he can't. As he glanced back, all of a sudden everything disappeared.

"What's Alia?" Ask Jamal.

"So, no problem" replied Alia with a smile she made.

The car continued to drive, until it finally managed to get out of the path he had chosen before. They went back through the road that led him to the forked path.

The rain slowly stopped falling, and the mist began to cover the road again. Jamal drives carefully, he doesn't want anything to happen again if he drives fast.

Her current state was the same as Alia's, she was too tired and very sleepy. The trees started to look a little, signifying that they would be getting to the city streets in a moment.

When he reached the city road, Jamal finally breathed a sigh of relief, as well as let out conscious tears. Even though it had reached a crowded place, it did not make him lose his tiredness and sleepiness.

Slowly he turned to look towards Alia. As Alia was falling asleep, Jamal smiled at Alia and felt that his vision was starting to blur a bit.

"Sorry Alia" she apologized to Alia because she knew she had run out of steam, and might have caused an accident.

Jamal's guess is very true, he lost consciousness while driving, initially he would stop before it happened, but he did not have time.

The car they were carrying also lost control and drove to the front of a car-carrying truck.

Duars...

Their car was hit, fortunately the driver who was carrying the carriage truck realized that such an incident would occur. So he quickly did something to reduce the impact of the collision that was quite severe.
