CHAPTER 11 PREPARATION OF THE CUSTOMARY CEREMONY II

"Sir Alia, Nak Ulan, and Nak Fitri" Call Ms. Susi. "Let's eat first, you must be hungry. Call your two friends over there too" Invite Bu Susi kindly.

"Yes Ma'am, thank you" replied Alia, Ulan, and Fitri.

Ulan asked Susi whether the well still had water or not. And Susi replied, that the well has not been used for a very long time, and may not contain water anymore.

"Certainly, how is this tool used by ma'am?" Ulan asked, pointing to the water pump.

"There will be a lever tuh, well the lever lives on up and down the hands. Later the water will come out by itself" replied Ms. Susi.

"If so, can Alia who tried to pump the water not Mom?" Ask Alia.

"May-can, but the lever is a little hard, understand old things." Answer Susi.

Alia reached for the lever of the pump, and tried to move it. As Ms. Susi said just now, that the pump lever was a bit hard to move, because it was rusty. After several attempts, Alia was still unable to move her.

Seeing Alia who was in trouble moving the lever of the pump, made Ulan ask to replace Alia. Because Ulan's power is stronger than Alia, Ulan was easily moved with just one try.

The water flowing from the iron funnel in the water pump, Alia and Ulan look amazed, because this is the first time they see and try to use a manual water pump. Because in the city there are only taps whose use is very easy compared to water pumps.

Dirga and Jamal are still trying to improve the car engine, it is a little cheating to see others are cool to enjoy the beauty and hospitality in the village of Turi, but they both still have to attach importance to the car.

Because it is impossible for them to continue living in this village, let alone they agreed to take a vacation for five days.And today is their second day in the village of Turi, so the remaining three days are left.

Disrespectfully, Rudi sat down near Jamal, and devoured the food that the two of them had brought. It's nothing, but he took Jamal and Dirga's food without him asking first.

Dirga stared exasperatedly at Rudi, trying not to say rudely in front of Jamal. Especially now Jamal does not mind Rudi's arbitrary attitude.

Jamal and Dirga finally decided to participate in helping the villagers. The two of them headed to the village through a path that was better than the road they had climbed before.

When arriving in the village, it is true that everyone is busy preparing what is needed for the preparation of the traditional ceremony later. Jamal and Dirga walked to Fitri's place, and asked where the others were. After hearing that Awal and Budi were looking for Deer, they decided to follow also there.
