Patok Tumbal Village

Patok Tumbal Village
CHAPTER 13 THE BIG-EYED FIGURE

After finishing the prayer, Alia and Fitri returned to the village hall. There Ulan and the others had been waiting to return home together.

"Let's go home bro, the sun has begun to set" Invite Early.

"Yes, some residents are also back" Reply Dirga.

"You should go home now, afraid in the street you even meet wild animals" said Bu Ningsih.

"Bu Ningsih, thank you mom for allowing us to pray at mom's house" Alia said thanking her.

"Sama-sama son" Reply Bu Ningsih. "Oiya, here are some leftover side dishes that we just made." Saut bu Ningsih, while giving a bushel containing a side dish to us.

"There are still many tablets" Reply Early, receiving the bushel given by Bu Ningsih.

"By the same boy, yaudah then mom came home first yah" said Ms. Ningsih saying goodbye.

"Yes ma'am, thanks again ma'am" Reply Ulan.

Since the village hall was already a little quiet, we all decided to go back. Arriving home, we took turns bathing because there was only one toilet.

The others decided to play cards, until Dirga came out of the toilet. While Alia and Fitri decided to cook rice, and heat the side dish they had received.

"Jammy!" Call Alia.

"Yes!?" Answer Jamal.

"Can you please start a fire to cook!?" Ask Alia for help.

"Yes begging" replied Jamal.

Cooking utensils used, is an ancient tool, namely a clay stove. Although a little difficult, but the food cooked using this tool has its own distinctive taste.

After helping Alia and Fitri blame the fire, Jamal returned to the room to hang a mosquito net, because it could not stand the mosquitoes that kept bothering him.

"Jamal looks still not used to being in a place like this well" said Fitri.

"This was indeed his first time going in a mountainous area like this anyway." Reply Alia.

"Owh, but do you seem to be mediocre in a place like this?" Ask Fitri.

"That's because I go every year to the village of my father's birth, which is also located in the mountains. So things like this are common to me" replied Alia.

"Must be the village where your father was born is also very beautiful" Fitri said.

Bruck...

Dirga opened the toilet door firmly, and shouted to the others, that he had finished his bath.

"Astaghfirullah Dirga, open the door slowly dong, later if the door is damaged how?" Pissed Alia.

"Sorry Alia, gas intentionally." Reply Dirga. "Where's the start?, now is it your turn to take a shower" asked Dirga.

"Again the cards in the living room" replied Fitri.

"Owh ok" Reply Dirga.

* * * *

After everything was finished bathing, everyone decided to eat together in the living room as usual, because inside was too narrow to be occupied by eating together.

While eating, we also joked a little. But in the middle of meal time, all of a sudden all the lights go out, maybe because there is a problem with the hydroelectric plant in the river near the village.

Because it is not possible to eat in the state of the lights off, so for a while we wait first, who knows the lights will soon come back to life.

"Jamal?, you're still next to me right?" Alia asked as she stepped forward little by little.

"Relax Alia, I'm still next to you. Then I go to the room for a while well to take a cellphone, because it's a little dangerous if there is lighting. You stay here, yeah, don't go anywhere." Answer Jamal.

"Jaudah don't be long" Reply Alia.

Alia leaned against the wall beside her, she was slightly pensive as she recalled the book she had read in the house of Ningsih.

The contents of the book slightly reminded her of the words spoken by Kaila the other day. Jamal who returned to Alia's place after taking a cellphone, was a little confused to see Alia who was still pensive.

Afraid of Alia for some reason, Jamal approached and called Alia by name. At first Alia did not respond at all, until finally Jamal slightly raised his voice.

"Alia!" Call Jamal in a high note.

"Ah yes, what?" Alia was confused.

"You're from being called but there's no response at all, I thought you were possessed" Jamal replied.

The others ran to Alia and Jamal's place, thinking they were both wondering why. Early asked with a worried facial expression to Jamal, about what had just happened, and why Jamal shouted while saying Alia's name.

Jamal replies, that he only called Alia's name because Alia was pensive for a long time.

"But Alia is okay, right?, want to rest first, maybe you are soybean" said Awal worried.

"Father ko, I was just thinking about some things that are not too important" replied Alia reasoned.

"What is Alia?" Saut Ulan was worried.

"Yes, really gapapa ko" replied Alia smiling.

After knowing the situation of Alia, everyone returned to the living room, except Awal who said he wanted to take the lamp along with Alia and Jamal.

Arriving in the kitchen, Alia asked Jamal to thrust his cellphone light into the closet located not far from the toilet. When the light of the phone was on the top of the closet, the three of them were a little surprised, because suddenly there was a mouse that fell from the top of the palphone.

The rat that had just fallen, immediately jumped up and ran away from the three of them. Because the mouse was gone, Alia took the chair beside the dining table, and reached for the lamp on the top of the closet.

When Alia wanted to get off the chair, Alia's legs accidentally slipped, fortunately Awal swiftly caught Alia who almost fell. Their eyes met, and stared at each other for a few seconds.

"Ekhem" Jamal's code with his white face.

"Ah, astaghfirullah" said Alia consciously, and immediately released her hand from the shoulder of Awal.

"Sorry Alia, what are you?" Ask Early.

"I-iya gapapa ko, thanks well I have not let it fall." Alia answered nervously.

"The research was done, right?, if so let's go somewhere else." Saut Jamal still with his face.

The three of them returned to the living room, with a slightly awkward atmosphere. When he got near the room, Jamal asked Alia and Awal to go to the living room first, and gave his phone to Awal.

The two of them just agreed to the initial remark, and left alone. Jamal stepped into the second room, to pick up his long-sleeved shirt, as he was a little cold.

After he finished changing his clothes, he turned towards the window that was still wide open. He stepped up to close the window, but when he got to the window, his eyes were wide open, his body instantly frozen to see the figure behind the bushes beside the house.

A large body, with fiery red eyes was looking at her with a hateful gaze. Jamal really did not bother to look at the figure, slowly his cold sweat flowed down his hands and feet.

The figure only appeared for a moment, then finally disappeared in the dark of the night. Seeing that the figure had disappeared, Jamal quickly closed the window, and immediately sat pensively on the mattress.

Although short, but what he just saw was a figure that was really clear and real. With his legs shaking, Jamal decides to go to his friends' place.
