CHAPTER 18: The Deception

The Black Goblin Commander stood up again after having his leg interrupted by a mine, his axe cracked due to Enna's Laser Beam attack earlier. Suddenly the entire armor on his damaged body recovered as before, as well as his weapon that returned intact thanks to the Soil element.

Most were just ordinary explosions that damaged some of the structures from the tower making it tilt slightly. Some managed to cause sparks that burned wood on the Tower. It was this fire that the Rangers were looking forward to, in the hope that everything would burn without anyone making it close to the fortress.

Unexpectedly some of the Black Goblins were Water element Mages, they extinguished the flames that appeared on the Siege Tower so that the hopes of the Rangers disappeared instantly. At some point the stairs were successfully installed, the Black Goblin tried to climb. Some Rangers immediately panicked, they became doubtful which one to hold. At the far right of the fort is approaching a Siege Tower which will send a lot of troops. The line of fire had to be extended in order for the enemy not to enter the city, Haytrea created a medium-sized golem in dozens to throw out the Black Goblins from the top of the fortress.

Unfortunately their enemy was not a stupid creature, he ordered his men to increase the power of the stone throws with fire. The goal is clear, break the gate. The fate of this city depends on the state of the gate, if it fails to be maintained then the city ends overnight.

As the enemy troops moved closer, the first Siege Tower was burned, but others managed to land seamlessly on top of the fort. The gate area was occupied by Haytrea and his deputy with the Ranger so as not to be dropped by the enemy by opening the gate from the inside. Three to four Siege Towers landed at the far left end of the fortress which immediately filled hundreds of Black Goblin Infantry Spear warriors. All the stone throwers were centered on the gate, including Catapult.
