The psychological condition of the patient greatly impacts the treatment of a disease and its healing process. That is what happened to Nata. Nata's condition improved after his encounter with Harum, although cancer cells still lodged in his body. After meeting Harum, Nata has never experienced a decrease in hemaglobin which makes the condition of his body droop again.
Lying on the bed, Nata wore a bergo that covered her head to the stomach, as well as a blanket that covered her stomach to the tip of the foot. Nata's lips moved following every prayer reading sung Harum.
“Assalamualaikum warahmatullah.” Nata to the right.
“Assalamualaikum warahmatullah.” Nata turned his head to the left, then ended by rubbing his face with both hands.
After the prayer, Harum continued reading after the prayer and Nata also chanted every sentence that was said Harum.
“Astaghfirullah hal’adzim, aladzi laailaha illahuwal khayyul qoyyuumu wa atuubu ilaiih.” Starting from reading Istighfar, Nata followed every sentence that Harum said. Continue reading tahlil and other remembrance readings and close with prayers.
“Alhamdulilah,” said Harum after leading Nata salat to the end.
“Still, Rum,” Nata said with a smile staring Harum.
“Sama-sama, Brother.” Smiling back. Then his hand moved about to open the bergo that covered Nata's head, but was held back by Nata.
“Not to open, Rum. Let's put it this way.”
“Kak Nata want to wear a hijab like this?” lontar Harum who answered a nod by Nata.
“Later tomorrow, insyaallah I bring hijab to Kak Nata. Want?” Nata quickly nodded in response to Harum's offer.
“If my fitting does not exist, Kak Nata prayed also yes accompanied by Mas Hangga,” message Fragrant.
Harum tried to visit Nata every day. Sometimes the morning after delivering Harum Little to school, sometimes before Zuhur while bringing lunch to Hangga, sometimes evenings until the night as it is today. Nata asked to be taught prayer, but the condition of Nata who was sick was not possible to memorize the prayer reading so that Nata salat by being guided by Harum.
“Insyaallah,” replied Nata shrivelled.
Harum and Nata were chatting familiarly when the sound of the curtain was opened, then the figure of Hangga appeared. Nata's husband and Harum's ex-husband took an empty bushel and placed it on the table.
“Still yes, Rum. The fried rice has been spent,” he said while glancing at Harum.
“Sama-sama, Mas,” replied Harum without glancing let alone staring at Hangga. He was afraid he could not control his heart. Because from the deepest heart space, the swirling of love is still very much felt. Especially now, Harum must admit that Hangga is getting better looking with his thin berewok appearance.
However, Harum has been determined to fight hard to destroy his feelings for Hangga. Therefore he was so confident in accepting Judah's proposal and never took the slightest step out of his mind to overturn his decision.
“If you bother, don't bring any more food, Rum. Mas so feel bad, worried to trouble you,” said Hangga again.
“Sama once not troublesome really, Mas,” sahut Harum glanced at Hangga at a glance.
From his chat with Nata, Harum knew the status of the current Hanges that does not work, so he took the initiative to bring food to the Hanges every day to ease the burden of the Hanges.
“Nothing anyway, indeed you are not kangen the same cuisine Fragrant,” timpal Nata.
Kangen. The same cuisine kangen, the same people also kangen. Hangga sat in a chair on the left side of Nata's bed, while Harum sat on the right side of Nata's bed. From where he sat, Hangga could clearly see the face of ayu Harum who was missed so much. Unfortunately, the ex-wife who is still very loved was not willing to glance at him at all let alone look at him.
“Hangga, get Harum I dong,” pinta Nata. Harum's forehead frowned confusedly at Nata's words.
Harum's face turned tense when he saw that Barbie doll from Hangga. He was worried about Nata's reaction if he knew that the doll was a memento during a holiday in Bali with Hangga.
“I always hug this doll when I miss you, Rum,” Nata said while hugging the doll. “I asked for this doll from Hangga. You see, this doll looks a lot like you,” he continued.
Nata's words were beyond the estimation of Fragrance. Harum glanced at Hangga then looked at her questioningly. Hangga, who seemed to know the question in Harum's mind, replied with a smile.
Seeing Hangga smile, Harum immediately turned his gaze away from Hangga. He did not want to be lulled by the ever-dazzling smile of Hangga.
Nata took the Balinese Tridatu bracelet wrapped around the neck of the Barbie doll, then thrust it on Harum. “Audio, Rum. I'm the same as Hangga also wear this bracelet.”
Harum was again surprised by Nata's words. At the beginning of their meeting, Harum had indeed seen the bracelet compact circular in the hands of Hangga and Nata, but Harum did not know about whether Nata knew about the bracelet from Bali.
“This is your hand, I put on the bracelet,” Nata said. Fragrant according to him, he reached out and Nata put the bracelet in Harum's hand.
“Then this is how the three of us become compact,” said Nata after pairing the bracelet in Harum's hand.
“Hangga here your hand.” According to him, he extended his hand to Nata.
Nata's left hand held the hand of Hangga, while his right hand held the hand of Harum. Nata's two hands moved to unite the hands of Hangga and Harum until the ex-husband and wife were touching each other's hands.
The fragrant reflex drew his hand as Hangga's hand touched his. Harum's sudden movements, suddenly made Hangga and Nata compactly look at Harum.
‘Why, Rum?’ Nata wanted to ask like that, but was snuffed out due to the presence of doctor Yuda.
“How is Bu Nata?” asked Yuda who had been standing beside Harum.
“Alhamdulillah is better, Doc,” Nata said dangling a smile.
“Thank God. I'm happy to hear it.”
“This is thanks to the presence of Fragrant. We've been looking for a fragrance for a long time. I am grateful to finally be able to meet Harum in the remaining days of my life.”
“Oya?” sahut Judah who does not know what is the relationship between Harum, Nata and Hanges.
Yuda was reluctant to ask during Harum's encounter with Nata at that time. He waited for Harum who would tell him the story and explain everything. However, until this moment Harum has not told a story. Judah did not know that Harum was waiting for Judah to ask him.
“If only from the past Bu Nata and Pak Hangga told me the same story. Though this fragrance lives with me loh.”
Harum did not tell much about his life after his departure two years ago. When Nata asks where Harum lives now, Harum replies that he lives in a relative's house.
“Harum stay with doctor Yuda?” lontar Nata and Hangga with shocked looks. The difference, if Nata throws the question directly, while Hangga just muttered in his heart.
“Iya. And this fragrant is my future wife,” the light of Yuda which instantly made Nata and Hangga shocked.
Especially Hangga, Judah's explanation was like thousands of firecrackers that exploded simultaneously nearby. It shocked and burned his heart.
