We've heard no myths about the demons that roamed around when magrib arrived. Even old people forbid us to be outside the house. Wh why? Because they believe that the devil will hunt and walk at that time.
Will you believe it? I'll tell you about the true story of my friend. Back then, I had just returned home from tutoring when the sun started to sink at the end of the horizon. I'm one of those kids who don't like coming home too soon, visiting my cousin's sister's house to get her to play. His house is next to mine.
“Andri, come out let's play. Brother has come home! You want to see the twilight this afternoon!” I screamed when I got in front of his house.
I've looked at Andri like my own brother, everywhere we've been together so we look like envelopes and stamps. It was also because we were the only children in the family. So we are like spoons and forks that complement each other especially if Andri needs friends to chat. Andri is a very introverted child, she does not like to play with her peers.
Therefore, I as a brother close to him must accompany him to play, although tired and did not have time to rest when coming home from school lessons. We played a lot in Magrib's time. Although our parents always forbade us not to play at that time, because they believed there would be invisible creatures that would kidnap children.
I think it's just a suggestion made by people to scare.
“Eh, Brother Alda. Sorry, I can't play today. I promised my parents not to play again at magrib.”
“Oh well, Brother also wants to rest today. But it's okay you promised yesterday to go with sister see twilight.”
“Yeah, actually a bit disappointed anyway Brother. But how else, my father had threatened me if for example I went with my brother, later Dad will punish me.”
“Truely too, your father was very firm where maybe he messed with his words. Yes, Brother also does not want you to get in trouble next time we see it.”
“Still yes, Brother!”
I also left in front of Andri. Halfway through, my face turned to look at Andri again. But all I found was a door that stood straight. I don't know why I feel sorry for him, but he was looking forward to seeing dusk today.
I immediately threw my body into the bed when I got to the room. The tiredness of stroking me made my eyes sleepy. I turned my face to the window to shake my sleepiness. At that time, dusk was enveloping the earth. Appears an orange gurgling that captivates the eye. Accompanying the sun who is ready to return to its quarrel.
The chanting of the holy Quran sounds melodious in the mosque not far from my house, indicating that the Adhan will soon be proclaimed. I got up, wanted to close the window curtains before mom came, otherwise I would be scolded later. But all of a sudden, from the reflection of the glass was a little boy running around my yard. I'm clarifying the vision. The little boy looked a lot like Andri.
“But maybe it was Andri who said he couldn't come out earlier. If it was Andri he must have asked me where he dared to go out on his own, my inner” called out.
Curiosity prompted me to call out to him. I open the window slowly. The afternoon breeze bit by bit entered and started to palpate my body, giving off an unusual sensation. When the window had lifted, suddenly the little boy had vanished like he had swallowed the earth. My hair started to stand up. Quickly I closed the window, maybe I was just hallucinating.
But, when the window was closed, the little boy was already standing right in front of the window. I was shocked to death, how could he already be here like a bolt of lightning, so fast. After being noticed, his face was exactly like Andri. It's just self-sufficient with pallor and incision. I asked him if he was Andri. He's nodding. I who was not suspicious at that time immediately felt grateful because it was indeed Andri.
“I've been given permission earlier, Come on Brother accompany me to play!”
I felt Andri's voice stiff and a bit strange. But, I don't care. Well, it could be a hoarse voice from eating too much ice cream. Suddenly, a cold touch pierced into my bones, making my hair bristle. I felt strange but I immediately swept away this erratic thought.
The sky had already poured black liquid on the sidelines of the cloud clumps, signaling the night would soon arrive. I can't go out anymore and I refuse Andri's invitation. For some reason, he looked at me like an eagle that wanted to prey.
“Then let me in!”
I began to wonder, Andri's way of speaking was never this rough. Because I feel sorry I tried to open the window, let alone the twilight weather has begun to age. But, when the window was already on the side, the sound of knocking on the door rang out loud from outside my room. Mom came in and saw me still in the room and immediately nagged me.
“Udah adzan from earlier you are still in the room, quickly go to prayer there! That window is still open. Didn't you hear what mom said, close the curtains and windows if you don't get into the devil. Oh you this!”
“But Mom, there was Andri earlier outside”
I turned towards the window, and I didn't see Andri's nose anymore. He mysteriously disappeared.
“Mana Andri, you are mostly ngeyel huh?! Besides where maybe Andri out magrib-magrib, surely he will be scolded by his father. Already, quickly you take wudhu there!”
Without thinking any more, I also directly obeyed Mom's orders.
The next day, I came to Andri's house and asked him if he was playing outside after the chant was echoed. Andri explained that she did not come out at all, even the door of her house was already in the lock after I rushed home.
I also have great goosebumps, if not Andri so who??
I also told Andri the chronology of the incident I experienced last night. He was also very surprised and frightened. Since then, we have never played or exited when magrib came up. I decided to accompany Andri to play on Sundays only. And one more thing, I feel very grateful because my mother came on time if I open the window, I don't know what will happen.
That's the real thing that my friend experienced, that people's beliefs used to be facts.
Even in the hadith of the Prophet also explained the prohibition to go outside the house when magrib. Because where when magrib, the natural color spectrum turns into harmony with the frequency of jinn and demons, namely the red color spectrum. That's when the power of the devil and jinn is very strong caused by the resonation it has along with the color of nature.
Therefore, do not come out again yes at the time of magrib.
