Nightmare Diaries
The Mystery Is Misery (Part 1)

“What are you doing in that room?”

“No.”

“Tell the truth Grey!”

“Nothing. I just looked around for a minute.”

“You sure?”

“Ya.” the girl Grey knew passed the father and entered his room.

After questioning his daughter, the father sat down holding his head, massaging him slowly. Sometimes he complains. Shortly after that his eldest son came to him, then spied on him from behind.

“Daddy is fine?”

“Your sister is very difficult to advise, it's the second time for this week, she still does not want to listen.”

“Let me just father.” Then he stepped into his sister's room, leaving his father alone.

For a moment the man thought for a moment, whether he should knock or not, seeing the situation he then moved his hand to knock on the door.

Tok tok tok tok

Ciiit…….

The door opened small, Grey standing at the end of the door, raising his eyebrows inquiring marks. Then he stepped in without saying anything more, sitting himself in Grey's bed. With a slight grumble, Grey closed the door and sat himself down next to his brother.

“He complains again?” Grey spoke in a lazy tone.

“Not bored hm?” Travis moved his hand to tuck Grey's hair behind his ear.

“You think I'm not tired? He comes to me every day.” Grey's expression became sad, his eye bags were increasingly visible, anyone who saw him would have thought Grey had not slept for days.

“Which you say it's no Grey, it's just in your head. What are you looking for in that back room? It's been two weeks that you've been back in that room and brought nothing. How can I trust Grey?” Travis looked at his sister not understanding. The stared Grey felt even more disappointed, no one trusted him.

“Why don't you trust me?” Grey stared blankly.

“There is no real evidence of Grey, I just saw you delirious and yelling every night, it might just be a prolonged nightmare Grey.” Travis tried to explain.

“What?! The nightmare? They take me around their world every night Travis! They show me the bad face every night Travis! Every night! They say I'm his family, saying the same thing every night! How can I still be okay Travis?! It’s not fine!” Grey let out all that pressure in his head then came out with a feeling of anger. Travis felt guilty for a moment, but what Grey said made no sense.

With mixed feelings, Travis exits Grey's room and finds his father standing in front of the room. Travis.

“I don't understand dad, he remains persistent on his decision, I. I don't know what to say, too complicated for me dad.” His father just exhaled his coarse breath.

“It's okay.”

***

Later that night, Travis picks up his blanket, he decides to sleep on the living room couch. Grey screams every night, so he plans to see Grey. Seeing the clock showing the number eleven night he began to close his eyes.

But just a few minutes into his sleep, he woke up suddenly, Grey screaming loudly. Travis runs straight to Grey's room, opening the door. All he saw was Grey falling asleep with his mouth muttering, feeling fine with it, Travis again closed the door and stepped onto the living room sofa.

Just sitting himself down, grey's voice was heard again, and this was louder than before, Travis initially wanted to ignore it but his voice was getting louder followed by the other voices, the voice of the others, feeling worried Travis returns to Grey's room and opens the door rudely.

He sees Grey asleep but his body moves restlessly, occasionally clawing his other hand, Travis freezes. All this time he only heard Grey screaming, and when he checked Grey fell asleep and occasionally muttered a little. This is unexpected, Grey doesn't look okay.

“Grey! Greys! Wake up! Please! Don't scare me Grey! Build Grey!” Travis continues to shake Grey's body, but there is no response from the owner.

“Grey!! Grey!” Travis shouted loudly. And Grey woke up with wide eyes, then immediately hugged

Travis tight.

“They're back Travis! They want to take me! I was trying not to fall asleep, I kept my eyes awake, I. I don't want to follow them Travis, I want to stay here.” Travis just hugged Grey tightly, the atmosphere becoming hotter. Grey looked around uneasily.

“Why Grey?” Travis asked with a little fear, Grey's gaze focused on the door.

“They are here.” Travis looked around, and suddenly the door closed.

“They're mad Travis, they're mad!” the word ‘they’ makes Travis's hair stand up, meaning something that bothers them is not alone. Travis is closing in on Grey.

“Akh!!” Grey screams in pain. Travis moved down, fumbled to the nightstand, looking for a flashlight. And then he found it.

He revives her with trembling hands, shakes the room from corner to corner, and then shines a light on Grey, and how shocked Travis is to see Grey's blood-thinning hands.

Travis quickly pulled the bed sheet from the end of the bed and tore it apart, and as he was about to hold Grey's hand, Travis was shocked.

“Akh!!” Travis was stirring up in pain, Grey's hands felt extremely hot, as if the blood flowing was boiling water. Grey squealed in pain as new wounds began to create, forming a triangular image on his palm.

“Akh!!” Grey yelled, trying to pull his hand but couldn't, if someone held him back from moving.

Travis ran to the door, but it couldn't open at all, Travis yelled for help, it's out of control, everything that's happening right now is unacceptable to his brain.

“AYAH!! Help us dad! Please Grey dad!” Travis yelled while hitting the door. Feeling that what he was doing was in vain, he went back to check on Grey.

“Travis you have to get out!!” Grey endured the pain.

“How about you Grey?!” Travis screamed in frustration.

“Please Travis, I have to finish this myself, you can't see it.” Grey lowered his tone, enduring the pain, blood continuously flowing from his hands.

“What do you mean?! What do you see Grey! How can you be in pain like this Grey! Tell me what to do!” Travis pulled his hair in frustration. Grey's eyes moved restlessly throughout the room, Travis followed the direction of Grey's eyes which were finally glued to a corner of the room.

“I’m done. Travis.”

Suddenly the suitcase above the closet fell. Travis pointed his flashlight at the suitcase, he walked over. The suitcase was open suddenly showed its contents, there were many dark illustrated papers accompanied by large writings.

Travis slowly tries to pick up one of the papers, but suddenly comes out of the pile and holds Travis' wrist.

“Awas!” Grey screams to see another hand holding Travis's hand, with long nails and blood flowing from each nail.

Travis tries to pull his hand, but then another hand appears from Travis' side. Shaking, Travis looked over. The figure of the woman with shoulder-length hair, red eyes, on her shoulders was a knife that stuck and blood flowed from there. The figure pulled Travis' hand and threw him to the other side.

“Travis!!”

Travis tries to get up, gets closer to Grey, before Travis moves, pushing Grey hard until Grey bounces near Travis' feet.

“Grey!!” Travis helps Grey. He then looked for the flashlight he had been holding, but he could not find it, because when Grey was pushed the flashlight was off and now he did not know where the flashlight was.

“That's what I'm looking for Travis, those papers!” Grey pointed at the papers scattered from the suitcase.mTravis painstakingly looked at the suitcase, the figure could not be found, he then got up and pulled the suitcase, not forgetting to close it.

Travis pulls Grey's hand, kicking the door open. With great difficulty he and Grey make it out of the room, in the dark Travis can only fumble the walls researching where he should step with his heart pounding in fear.

“Wait!” Travis looked back to make sure Grey was okay. But not only did Grey see, the figure that had disappeared again appeared, standing at the end of the hall.

“We have to be fast Grey! He's right behind us.” Travis ignores Grey, pulls Grey closer to him and speeds up. As they approached the main door, Grey screamed in pain.

“Akh!!” Grey's hands were tightly gripped by the figure they had been avoiding, the nail of the figure piercing back the wound that Travis had tied up, blood flowing again. Travis pulls Grey harder, but Grey's hand is getting stabbed, the red eyes intimidating Grey and Travis.

“Akh!! Please let me go, please,” Grey said in a voice that began to weaken. Travis opened the suitcase quickly and threw the papers inside.

“Let her go!!” Grey pulls his hand and runs, kicking the door but it doesn't open.

Travis ran to the window, trying to open it but couldn't. Trying to look around him, he then pulls up a chair and throws it at the window, seeing that chance Travis pulls Grey. When they want to step over the window, they suddenly come back.

With a large body and horns on his head, his hands were twice the hands of ordinary humans accompanied by sharp nails, his red eyes intimidating Grey and Travis. Travis keeps Grey behind him.

Suddenly a chair hits Travis in the head, Travis falls down far away from Grey. Grey squealing. Then a pair of hands pulled at Grey's feet, Grey screeched to feel his back hit the floor, he was then dragged by the figure. Travis tried to wake up.

“Akh!! Pain!” Travis's leg was stabbed. Travis lifted his gaze, and his eyes met the eyes of a very familiar person.

“Dad.”

Bugh! Bugh! Bugh!

Travis was beaten to the ground by his father, and the last sight Travis saw was the huge figure that had confronted him standing behind his father with a big smile.
