The competition challenges each participant to hack as many machines as possible using a series of weaknesses and vulnerabilities. After hacking the machine, the participants must collect a flag that will award a certain number of points.

When the total points of the flag are found by which the player reaches or exceeds the threshold set by the organizer then the player will automatically progress to the next round without having to complete all the challenges in that round.

The original format of the competition was originally an onsite computer hacking testing competition organized by the company wizlynx, which was purely oriented towards offensive security. During the competition, participants were on a network of multiple machines representing real-life vulnerabilities witnessed by the wizlynx company through advanced hacking tests in real life. But this time the competition is done online because of the high interest from various countries outside the Blue Continent so that makes the wizlynx party to conduct Goodwill Battlefield competitions online.

The concept of competition was developed by the company wizlynx to present new challenges to cyber security by toying with the hacking testing process and allowing people to use their offensive skills. It challenges players to access as many machines as possible, using a series of weaknesses and vulnerabilities within twelve hours. After access to the machine, participants must collect a flag that awards a certain number of points. At the end of the contest, the player with the most points wins.

Because this online competition allows anyone and anywhere to join and use the expertise of testing network security systems and their offensive expertise by finding and exploiting vulnerabilities in various machines and hosts located in wizlynx hacking testing laboratory. The rules of this competition are almost the same as the competition that Nara has participated in before. There should be no cooperation between participants, sharing passwords or providing instructions that reveal how to access the wizlynx machine to other players. There should be absolutely no sabotage between players or in any way obstructing other players. It is prohibited to use any CTF DoSing platform, such as IP spoofing, ARP, DNS, NBNS, prohibited to use Metasploit Pro, Burp Pro applications, prohibited to use db_autopwn automatic exploitation applications, browser_autopwn, SQLmap, SQLninja, etc, there are also restrictions on using mass vulnerability scanners such as Nessus, NeXpose, OpenVAS, Canvas, Core Impact and SAINT.

The competition has lasted for twelve hours, Nara has managed to become a hundred participants with the acquisition of points above the point limit determined by the competition organizers. As usual in a competition there must be participants who cheat even though it is only a small fraud but the organizers without warning first immediately remove the player from their server and stop the competition for ten minutes, this little time lag is what Nara uses to go to the toilet or pray.
