Neighbor Husband

Neighbor Husband
Episode 43 - Baby

Taps... Taps... Taps...

"Hey, I didn't hear you wrong, did I? After six months of leaving this contract he's back again?" mummified Dede.

He heard Luke talking to someone. But who is he talking to? Why is there no interlocutor? Is he on the phone?

Dede left her kitchen and stepped forward cautiously. He wanted to be sure of what he had just heard.

Kriett! The sound of the door squeaking almost made him lose his heart.

"Blog*n. It's noisy, anyway," Dede said in his heart. "Other times the door hinge should be oiled," he continued.

Like a spy class teri, Dede also returned to pay attention to the house next door carefully. Right, the window of his room is open. If Lukman is in room number four, he just opens the door to let out the stuffy air.

"Haha.... Eeah... Eeeaa..."

"Well, I didn't hear wrong, did I? That's a baby voice?" dede's heart almost stopped beating hearing the baby's so crispy laughter.

"Quiet, De. You have to think clearly. Listen carefully where it comes from," he said.

But what he then heard was Luke's voice chatting with the little baby. Dede's leg limp.

"What's been going on for these months? Didn't he say clearly that what happened to him wasn't what I thought?"

The intention of Dede who was about to ambush the next door neighbor, was finally delayed because the fish he fried issued smoke and a foul smell.

"Wooh! I should have turned off the stove first," Dede exclaimed inwardly while taking a thousand-step stance.

"Allalamaicum, Luke. How's it going? I just got back a week ago. Is your schedule empty today?"

"Hey, Bang Sat. Do not glare at the phone like that.. It could be that the phone screen is cracked because it is insecure of you," Yogi said.

"I told you, don't call me that. So it sounds strange to know," Satria scolded. Yogi only giggles at seeing his class brother who is upset because of a girl.

It's been four days since Luke returned a message from Satria. The phone was never picked up either. Even though he was still in Austria, Luke was quite diligent in replying to messages from him, even though he still used formal language.

"What happened to him, huh? Did I just meet you at the college?" thought Satria.

His hand held a few packets of sweet souvenirs to give to his girl.

"What time did I propose to him correctly? But I look even more like making a Friend But Friendly relationship. Any girl would be upset if left like that. Ughhh... Don't know."

Satria was deep in her own thoughts. Until he did not realize, that he was the attention of the female nurses who were interning.

This time Dede was tidy. The kitchen that almost became a disaster has also been resolved. While taking care of the house, his ears never separated from the house next door (read: eavesdropping). And it can be ascertained, if the baby's voice is indeed coming from the house number four. Who owns the baby has to be confirmed again.

Geck... Geck... Geck...

"Assalamualaikum, Luke," call Dede from the outside. There is no answer from within.

Geck... Geck... Geck...

"Vaalaikumussalam. A moment."

Chequek!

"What's wrong?"

"Eh, that..."

The woman before him Dede was at a loss for the words she had been putting together since. Beautiful and round eyes, pliable eyelashes, chubby cheeks and hair covered in a blue hijab.

"You're in a hijab now?" said Dede instantly.

"You came just to ask about that?" Luke asked back.

"Nope-no. I really want to see your situation. How are you doing now?" said Dede after successfully controlling himself in front of the beautiful girl.

However, Dede had to wait more patiently for the answer. Because the sweet girl in the hijab quickly returned to the room, when she heard the sound of the baby crying. Ah, Dede's getting curious.

"Sorry, what was that?" luke asked when he had come back to the front.

"Who's the baby, Luke? Can I see it?" ask Dede.

"No. And it's not my baby" Luke replied firmly.

"Who's son then?" tanya Dede did not give up.

"It's none of your business."

"You suddenly disappeared for six months, then came back with a baby. How am I not worried? Is that my baby?" Desak Dede's.

"What's? Luke had a baby with Dede?" Satria who had just come suddenly interjected.

"No. It's not my baby let alone Dede" Luke said.

"Then let me see the baby. Why is it covered?" push Dede on.

"Luke, what's really going on?" ask Satria anyway.

"I TOLD YOU IT'S NOT WHAT YOU THINK!!" shout Luke.

The two men were surprised to see his reaction. But they couldn't talk more, as Luke returned to the room as the baby cried from his screams.

"Curtain! It sucks!" satria then left the place. Luke who heard from inside the room could only smile wryly.
