Episode 10 - Prejudice

Srak... Sruk... Luke changed his sleeping position. He covered his ears with a pillow. His eyes glanced at the wall clock. It's almost twelve o'clock in the night.

Ssh.... Shhh... The voice of the woman who resembled the hiss of a poisonous snake was increasingly heard clearly. Luke felt, the headphone was unable to muffle the sound of horror in the middle of the night.

"Uh, how does that still sound, anyway? Neighbors' feelings used to not be as good as they 'play it'? It's a horror every night, not just Friday night" Luke said. Ina's voice sounded very clearly disturbing his ears.

"Is it because I accused Dede of jealousy this morning? Then they're replying to me like this? I was just kidding. Duh, this mouth really can not be invited to compromise anyway," regretted Luke again.

Srprr! There was water in the bathroom next door. Looks like they're done.

"Thankful, huh. I can sleep" Luke murmured.

Meanwhile in the house next door, Ina flushed her body with cold water from the tub.

"What does my husband actually have to do with the next-door neighbor? They had a little quarrel this morning, too, because of the invitation. It's suspicious. Tomorrow I have to find out," Ina said, rubbing soap all over her body.

"Hey, do you want some fried chicken? Or pizza? I treat, nih," said a rather heavy and heavy male voice from inside the room.

"What did you say?" ask Ina from the bathroom. He could not hear clearly, because of the sound of water.

"There's nothing. Forget it," replied the man.

Ssshhhh! Luke crumpled his jacket to the body, as the cold morning air gushed in through the door he had just been in. His eyes flickered, fighting the drowsiness that was still attacking him.

"Why doesn't tap water flow, anyway? Where should I go so early in the morning today," Luke grumbled as he pierced through the darkness.

The girl was about to check the water machine behind her landlady. Fortunately, he did not wake up late, due to the 'horror' scene last night.

"May there be no Nyai Kunti," his mind shuddered in horror.

His eyes looked around which was still pitch-black. There are only street lamps and a very dim terrace. Understandably, it was still four in the morning.

"Aah!" Luke held the voice with his hand.

He didn't want to wake up all the neighbors this blind morning. But the sight in front of him almost made his heart drop. The woman caught a creature in white clothes lying on the porch of her house.

"Why is that guy here?" think Luke.

"De, wake. Why are you sleeping here?" luke half whispered.

"Luke, i..." The half-conscious man grabbed Luke's arm. His white shirt looked very crumpled. Some buttons on his shirt open.

"St! Lower your voice" whispered luke. He was afraid that neighbors would hear him, including Dede's wife.

"Oh, Luke. My work's falling apart. I cheated on my partner. How'this?" mess up that guy.

"De, while it's still dark, you need to get home. You can't be here." Luke started to panic. The man did not want to leave the porch of his house.

"Let me be here for a second. Talking to you makes my heart a little quiet" Dede said. His eyes looked at Luke expectantly.

Luke doesn't know. This man had actually been conscious, or was still delirious. But clearly, his words made Luke's heart ache.

"Why did he come looking for me to fall asleep here? Why didn't he go home to his wife.? What am I to you?" luke muttered in his heart.

"Don't you not like me? For that reason you also told me to stay away from you? Then why did you come here?" luke said while enduring the pain.

"Hmm what? I hate you?" Dede asked back.

"Wakeup. Danger if you keep here? Where are you from, anyway? Didn't you stay home last night with your wife?" luke whispered.

"I? In-house? Whatchu mean? Hey, I just got home at three. After raiding my impostor colleague's house. But you know what happened? He first ran away with his wife" murmured Dede.

"Here you go, you go home before the neighbors raid us" Luke whispered. As strong as the energy of the skinny girl memapah Dede headed to the terrace of his house.

"Cowok sucks this has to go home, no matter what," said Luke. He left Dede who went back to sleep on the front porch of his house.

Chequek! A neighbor opened the door and closed it again. He was shocked to see the sight he had just seen.

"I didn't see it wrong, did I? That Dede just got back from Luke's house? Fajr like this?" say that neighbor. He also saw Dede's clothes were no longer neat. "Why are they?" added curious.

Meanwhile, Luke steps toward his home. He forgot his original purpose of checking the water machine.

"What does Dede mean just getting home? Then last night who did Ina play with? Ah, can't it be that Ina cheated? It's possible that Dede went to raid his co-workers after completing his duties as a husband. Yeah, correct. It must be." Luke was drifting in his own mind.

In the morning, the next-door neighbor was shocked by her husband sleeping on the porch. Luke pretended not to know. He was ready to go to college as usual.

At 7:30, Dede had left for work as usual. Last night's incident didn't break his spirits. He has to face everything to stay in the middle of the competition.

Ina opens the chat app.

^^^"Hello, sis. How are. Are you busy again? This is Ina, Dede Purwanto's wife. Brother's friend."^^^

Ina sent a message to one of Dede's close friends during High School. He found his number on Dede's phone secretly this morning.

"Hello, Ina. How are you doing? Not busy, really," Shilla replied.

^^^"Do you know Lukella?" reply Ina. Get to the point.^^^

"Lukella? The olympic boy?" Shilla asked back.

"Olympic boy? Is that how she was?" ina thinks.

^^^"Ah, yes. The olympic boy. How was he in school first" Ina asked.^^^

"Oh.. She's that.gimana, huh?" reply Shilla

"He was quiet and not close to other friends. You could say he was a cup. His close friends are all cute, too" wrote Shilla.

^^^"Ah, really? Then how's he doing with his boy friends?" ina search.^^^

"Turkey? Oh, naw. Don't remind me of that again. He almost snatched Restu, my girlfriend in second grade High School T_T," Shilla replied.

^^^"What time?" She pretended not to believe.^^^

"Seriously...!!! He's that horrible. Quietly drifting," Shilla replied.

"What's wrong, anyway? He's bothering your husband?" write Shilla again.

^^^"Ah, I don't know if it's true or not. But I did read their chat. And... I think they're familiar. Were they familiar in school?" ask Ina curious.^^^

"Duh, where is possible. He never cared for his boy friends. There he was who teased them" Shilla wrote.

"Be careful though. Now the actor is indiscriminate again choosing his prey," Shilla wrote.

"Hufffa! Is that right what I'm worried about? Just watch out, I don't want my efforts to master Dede for years to go to waste" Ina murmured.
