Episode 27 - The Secret of Past

"What else did you come here for?" dede asked when he saw his wife coming.

"I want to make a deal with you" Ina said.

"Deal? What deal? What if we both cheated? So I have to take you back, right?" ask Dede in a high tone.

"More or less so," Ina replied as she barged in.

"I'm not the same as you. I never cheated on anyone. I just-"

"But the fact is that you're still holding the woman and entering her house, right?" sahut Ina is no less fierce. "I just want to be your wife again. Fix everything and try again from the beginning. Is that wrong?"

"But I'm different from you. I didn't do anything. And I don't want to start anything with you anymore" replied Dede.

"Stay away. You can't divorce me" Ina replied.

"Why? Is that how obsessed you are with me? Even since High School you manipulated everything so that I would always stick to you, right? It's like I'm always after you. In people's eyes, you're an angel that's very hard to get and I'm just a beggar" Dede said.

"Sad." Ina can't dodge. "Until any time I won't let go of this man" Ina said in her heart.

"Don't try to divorce me, if you want your secret to be spread out" Ina threatened.

"Oh, so after your plea is ignored, now you're trying to threaten me? Do it if you want to spread it. I'm not scared. What secrets do you have?" said Dede.

"Before, when Luke was almost abused by a third-grader, you actually knew about it, right? But you let it go, and just enjoy it while recording the action. Shortly after that you spread it," explained Ina.

"Hey, you mean a-pa?" Dede still pretended not to understand.

"You think, since I wasn't in High School at the time, I didn't know it? The culprit is my neighbor. And he recognized your face while playing in my house. And my father was able to handle the case. He's a big grudge against you, for making him crouch behind bars. But unfortunately, why only now do I know, if the girl who was Luke at that time," continued Ina.

"Hey, shut up! What if you raise the case? Who cares anymore? That was more than ten years ago" Dede said.

"You think Luke would be quiet if the man he's admired all along turned out to be a jerk? More a jerk than just betraying him" Ina said.

"Tell him. He already knows I'm a jerk, too" Dede replied with a cynical smile.

"Eh... " Ina is out of words. It is not suspected that this threat did not apply to her husband.

"Here you go, your efforts are in vain. What's unobstructed, I'll let you go" said Dede. "Now go, while I'm still good to you," Dede dragged Ina out of the house.

"Look, I'll make you regret it. Papa won't let you just like that. You think you can work on the spot right now, because who if not my father. I want to stay in this junkyard house to protect your pride" Ina shouted.

The embarrassed Ina immediately stepped foot out of the house. He did not care about the contemptuous looks of his neighbors.

"Flora, are you alive?" Luke shook his friend's body.

"Damn. You think I'm the undead?" sahut Flora's.

"Lagian, you were just staring. Ever since I told you about the next-door neighbor" Luke quipped.

"You mean eavesdrop?" said Luke.

"Don't underestimate the souls of detectives like me. Did you hear that? The video that has embarrassed and traumatized you, it turns out he was the culprit" Flora said.

"Yes, I heard. It's very clear" Luke replied.

"Then you'll just shut up like this? Uh, but why didn't the video spreader get caught, huh?"

"Eitherway. That's long gone. The perpetrator has been convicted because the video was released. And as you said earlier, he's got a fair reply" Luke said. "Have it, I don't want to deal with them anymore" he continued.

"Hooo's... The story is you've moved on, huh?" flora Ledek.

"What, anyway? You've been busy eavesdropping, what time is the meeting with your client?" Luke switched the story.

"Oh, yes. I forget. I'll go first, deh," said Flora.

"Why are you here?" Luke is shocked to see Dede on his campus. He sat under a tree on his motorcycle, right in front of Luke's room.

Time has shown at five o'clock in the afternoon. Most of the students have gone home. Luke used to come home late to avoid meeting with the restless neighbors.

"Luke. Let me stay here for a while. I asked your place of work to Lukman. That jerk is hard to get information on. I even had to give you my favorite game console" Dede said.

"Well, the guy's eyes twitch. Uh, game-an eye. Watch out if I see him" said Luke.

"Hey, stop. Don't blame her too much. I forced him" replied Dede. "I just want to confide in you" he continued.

"Why should you confide in me? Your friends are a lot," Luke refused.

"Why is that? We're friends?" sahut Dede's.

"Friends? we were never close. Your group and mine, different castes" Luke said.

"Why did my house become like this? What wrong? He plays with other men, but he won't let me go?" Dede ignored Luke's words.

Luke did not answer. He did not know whether he should be happy or sad to see it.

"She was a woman who was really capable of driving me crazy. A lot of things, one of them my own mother. Mom disagreed with me about marrying him. Because she's a spoiled rich girl. But I still married her. I don't care what origin I can make it mine" Dede said.

"But look at it now. Our lives are ruined. The job I thought was my own, it turned out that there was his father's interference there."

Luke's heart ached hearing that. How could this man tell the story of his beloved girl to the woman he had rejected and humiliated?

"De, I heard what you said to Ina yesterday afternoon. Lie if I'm not angry, knowing that you're the one who recorded and spread the indecent act. Until the whole school saw my body. Do you know how painful and traumatic I am? Not to mention the trauma you added after humiliating me?" said Luke.

"I'm really sorry about that. Even though you won't forgive me. I'm so sorry," said Dede.

"It's just that you're sorry now. The wounds in my heart are so deep. You have to solve your own household problems. Don't whine like a little baby" Luke says.

"Go home. It's not good if we both stay here. You tau? The woman who is close to a married man, it is the same as a high-class criminal. Actor," Luke continued.

"What's? The actor? We're not doing anything?" dispute Dede

"Haishis... You won't understand how it feels... I don't want my image to get worse because of a jerk like you" Luke said.

Not long after, Luke's online ojek order came. He left Dede still drifting in grief.
