Naruto: Long Live Hokage's
Chapter 77: The Valley of the End

Konoha, at the end of the ninth year.

Since that fierce battle, Masahiko who rarely went out of the house, walked out of the village. After a while, he found himself in a place dozens of miles away from Konoha.

Here, in the heart of the wilderness, surrounded by crevices and cliffs. No one knew this place before, it was just an insignificant point on the map, but from now on it will be called “Late” Valley!

“Both really ..” Masahiko sighed. If you ignore the fact that he played craps with Hashirama for an entire year, the only regret he had in his heart lay in his failed attempt to stop the battle that took place here one year ago.

As a way to atone for his mistake, Masahiko practiced sculpting hard, to leave behind a more detailed memory of the legend for future generations.

Looking at the chaotic environment around him, Masahiko frowned.

“It looks like I have to work as a cleaner first... Also, I remember there was a forest around here when Naruto and Sasuke fought... May it appear later?”.

Ruins, debris, and the remnants of the battle cleanup took Masahiko a whole day. He shouted in his heart, “Parent! Why did I come alone, why didn't I bring some errands to help me!”

“Huuuh...” Masahiko took a deep breath and did a hand gesture, “Doton – Moving Earth Core!”

“Doton – Terraform!”

“Doton – Stone Techniques Rising!”

Masahiko used three techniques at once. Suddenly, huge blocks of stone changed on both sides of the lake, which he would use as a base stone to sculpt Hashirama and Madara statues. And there was a smaller stone cube in the center, which would be suitable for writing inscriptions.

Masahiko nodded in satisfaction, but as the sky grew darker, he sighed.

“We rest first. It was a long-term battle against nature.”.

Masahiko said it was a battle that lasted a long time, but he did not expect it would take much longer.

For three whole months, Masahiko worked hard at sculpting. And finally, he finished carving the statues of Madara and Hashirama.

In front of his masterpiece, Masahiko nodded in satisfaction.

“How good, here it is!” Masahiko muttered, he managed to sculpt the statue like the original, even better than the original. The LV10 skills never let him down. If it wasn't for the wrong shape and color of the body, then no one would have seen a difference.

“But for the last touch ... how to finish it?” Masahiko was caught in a difficult situation. The final touch has not been made, which is to add a fabled hand gesture to the statue.

“Do I use the reconciliation seal there?” Masahiko sighed, but the battle between Hashirama and Madara did not end peacefully.

“About battle?” Masahiko scratched his head, feeling that it did not fit.

“Or, I can let them lift the middle finger to each other, pffft...” Masahiko laughed out loud at his own joke.

“Hah?” Tangled, Masahiko suddenly felt the familiar chakra approaching him quickly.

Masahiko looked up and frowned.

“What are you doing here, Hashirama?” She was worried, she was afraid that Hashirama would force her to play dice again.

“Second grandfather,” Hashirama suddenly fell silent, then shouted, “I came to see your work on those statues.”

Masahiko's face turned pale; he ended up adding many “extra” features that were not in Hashirama's true self.

But as he approached, Hashirama glanced at his statue, then looked at Madara.

“Return to the starting point again.” Masahiko sighed, looking at Hashirama, who seemed to fall into unexplained emotions, and quickly interjected, “Hashirama, because you are here, you are here, whaddya think? Which seal should I engrave for you two?”

Hashirama paused for a moment, and he noticed the incompleteness of the two statues.

“Seals Reconciliation, Grandpa.” Hashirama sighed, then made his choice.

Masahiko was not surprised, he was also thinking of making that move. “Then I will start working on it, you can come back here after I finish it..”.

Hashirama shook his head refusing, “I have other things to do here.”

Trees began to appear on the ground; the stems first, then the leaves, even the flowers here and there.

The empty land that was once a battle ground was now slowly starting to turn into a lush forest.

Masahiko's eyes widen, “Hashirama! You...” Even in previous battles, such a large-scale technique was rarely used by Hashirama, let alone to make wood grow leaves.

“Why are you doing this? your vitality..”

Shaking his head, Hashirama replied with a smile, “It won't be in vain.” From his sleeves, Hashirama picked up a familiar necklace. The leaves on the trees instantly withered. On the other hand, the necklace in Hashirama's hands began to be filled with vitality.

“It has been ten years..” murmured Masahiko, he tried to guess Hashirama's purpose of doing this.

Sure enough, his explanation did not surprise him.

“Aika is , this necklace will be my gift to my grandson or granddaughter,” Hashirama said. “I have injected a lot of wood chakra in this necklace, it will help the wearer to live longer. And it can also suppress tailed monsters.”

Masahiko nodded, not knowing if he was happy or sad to hear this. The long-awaited Tsunade is about to be born, but Hashirama's life is nearing its end…

“Sigh...” Masahiko sighed and continued sculpting it. Hashirama didn't go, he stayed there and saw Masahiko working.

Two days later, Masahiko finally completed two signatures and stood in front of the stone tablets.

“Hashirama, so what do you think? You two look great, right?” Masahiko smiled.

Hashirama looks very embarrassed.

“It looks like Madara's face is much thinner than mine.” Masahiko's confidence collapses.

“Not know thank you .. let's just write it ..”

Top five words are, “Lend Valley.”

The descriptions written on the tablet are as follows: “Senju Hashirama, Uchiha Madara, two men who once calmed the turbulent flames of the Shinobi World. The path of these two ninja, who have been claimed by the people as Shinobi Gods, has guided them to this place, where they stand face to face for the final battle. This valley is Senju Hashirama, and Uchiha Madara fights.”

And at the bottom: “A Shinobi Witness.”

“Second Grandfather? Why don't you list your name as a signature?”

Masahiko sighed, “You two are enough. Adding my name ... will make it hard to sing.”

Hashirama nodded, Masahiko felt that adding her name could cause misunderstanding of future generations, they would probably think that the two were fighting over a beautiful woman.

The matter of the Late Valley had ended, and the two returned to the village.

Everything seemed calm and silent on the way back until they approached the village.

Two masked ninjas passed Hashirama and Masahiko, carrying a bag of goods, and nodded at them.

Hashirama then looked at Masahiko, “So this is Anbu Tobirama? They saw..”

Masahiko frowned slightly, then Hashirama turned around, it seemed like the thing inside the bag was actually a living person, he could even feel his chakra.

“Grandfather, are these spies from the enemy village?”

Masahiko hesitated a bit. He can't be sure, but he has some speculation on his mind.

“Let's go, we'll follow them silently.” Masahiko whispered to Hashirama and quickened his pace.

Hashirama hesitated, then reacted quickly, and chased after him.

As Masahiko expected, the two were suspicious. They carried the bag and showed no signs of returning to the village. Instead, they ran further and further away from the village, all the way to the northeast.

“They are actually..” Masahiko sighed, unwilling to believe what had just crossed his mind.
