Nadine and Nathan

Nadine and Nathan
#64

"Pa!" Nathan sat on the sofa next to Papa Dion who was focusing on reading the paper in his hand.

It looks like it's a profile of some of the new players who will be recruited.

"What's up, Nathan?" Papa Dion's question was still focused on the paper in his hand.

"Nathan wants to move clubs next season" Nathan said to the point.

Papa Dion put the paper he had held onto the table. The middle-aged man took off his reading glasses and turned to look at Nathan.

"Why?"

Nathan sniffed both his shoulders,

"Nathan is tired, Pa," replied Nathan listlessly.

Nadine, who had just come out of the kitchen with a plate of fruit, stopped her steps and listened to the conversation of two men in the living room. Looks like Nadine heard Nathan wanted to move clubs.

"How many times have you said, to ignore those obscure rumors, Nathan!"

"If you want to be a professional basketball player, you have to put up with the storm of rumors that will always come your way. You remember the saying, the higher the tree the stronger the wind." Papa Dion's advice was long.

"That's not the case, Pa! Nathan is tired of being a backup player in every game."

"Skill who Nathan has felt useless if Nathan continues to survive in Putra Garuda," explained Nathan with a sad tone.

"There's a club that gives you an offer, Nath?" Asked Nadine who had been sitting on the sofa not far from papa Dion and Nathan.

"Udah is there" Nathan looked at his twin brother.

"Klub Bima Persada," continued Nathan again.

Papa Dion sighed.

"Are you sure you're gonna get into that club?" Papa Dion asked in a hesitant tone.

"The club is indeed not as big as the Son of Garuda, Pa! But Nathan was sure, Nathan's skill would be even more honed there."

"Nathan is better at a small club but has plenty of flying hours, than at a big club but only on the bench" Nathan smiled wryly.

"You just need to be patient, Nathan!" Papa Dion still seems to have a little objection.

Nathan shook his head, though,

"Nathan's decision is round, Pa!" Nathan said with a serious tone.

"But, Nath-"

"Pa!" Nadine interrupts papa Dion's sentence.

"Please respect Nathan's decision this time!" Pinta Nadine pleads.

"Nathan is going to do it all, so Nathan definitely knows what's best for his career right now" Nadine said

Papa Dion sighed again.

"Well, if that's your decision, Nathan," said Dion's father in the end.

"But papa wants you to show your best performance and prove that you can still improve at any club you play at" Dion said.

Nathan nodded steadily.

"Surely, Pa! Nathan will prove it" Nathan said earnestly.

Nadine immediately got up and patted the back of her twin sister.

"Excite, Nathan!"

"When are you going home again?" nadine asked Christian who seemed to be busy playing the game.

Nadine was on a video call with her boyfriend.

"Why indeed? do you miss me?" ask Christian flirting.

"No! I'm just asking," Nadine said quickly.

"Hmmm. I'm the one who misses the same path as you, though," said Christian began his conversation.

Nadine chuckles.

"How was the tournament today?" Christian shifted the subject.

"Current dong! And as can be, Nadine's team won" replied Nadine showing off.

"Hmmm. Later if my opponent, Nadine will lose" Christian said, chuckling.

"Impossible! You just never practice there" Nadine sibir disparaged.

"Who said? I'm training here. There's a minicourt in front of my apartment, too" Christian replied.

"Wow! Cool dong. So want to go there to enjoy the winter," said Nadine enthusiastically.

"This is! I bought tickets!"

"Hohoo. I'm in the exam next week. It was in pending. Or wait for you to come home" said Nadine looking for an excuse.

"The reason continues!" timpal Christian is upset.

Nadine just chuckled
