Nathan stared at the window in the treatment room.

The seventeen-year-old had just completed surgery on his right knee, one day ago.

Nadine hasn't come home from school, and papa Dion still has business at Putra Garuda's club. Now Nathan is alone in the treatment room.

Nathan refocused on his phone screen and scrolled his Instagram wall. Everything contains about the victory of Pelita High School in inter-school basketball competition.

Huh!

Irritatingly.

And of course, the best player of the year was achieved by Christian, the captain of the team that managed to bring the Pelita High School basketball team to become the champion dark horse of the year.

Nathan admitted that Christian's basketball skills are very good. It is fitting that Chris felt unacceptable when the Putra Garuda club rejected him and instead chose Nathan.

Is it true that Chris and his basketball team friends said that time?

If it turns out Nathan was accepted at Putra Garuda club only because of the big name of the papa?

Inevitably, since the beginning of Nathan decided to play basketball, people always associate or even compare his game with papa Dion.

Papa Dion is a former professional basketball player who also played for the national team for four years. Since retiring to play basketball, papa Dion changed to assistant coach, until now papa Dion became the core coach of the professional basketball club Putra Garuda which is a subscription to the national basketball league champion.

And Nathan's performance on the court is always compared to the performance of the papa. Making Nathan alive and pioneering his basketball career only in the shadows and big name papa Dion.

"Dreams!" Nadine's voice that had been in the treatment room since when had made Nathan jumped in shock.

Nathan notices Nadine's performance wearing her school basketball jersey covered in a jacket.

"Where are you going?" Nathan asked confusedly.

"Training at four" replied Nadine, looking at the watch in her hand.

Nathan laughed a little, though,

"Have you finally gotten into the core squad of your school's girls' basketball team?" Nathan asked with a sneer grin.

Nadine clucked, nadine clucked,

"I'm being lazy to argue, okay! Let's just say I'm getting my school name, " replied Nadine diplomatically.

Clearly, the answer from Nadine just now even made Nathan widened.

"Laugh all you want!" Nadine is upset.

"Is it because Christian is the captain of the boys' basketball team at your school, and then suddenly you want to join the girls' basketball team and break your principles all along which he says he will never join the basketball team?" Nathan's lead once again.

"It has nothing to do with Chris!" sahut Nadine quickly as she swerved towards Nathan.

"Curtain! Nadine finally got on the basketball team too. You'll never be able to deny the similarities between us, Nadine!" Nathan still did not stop mocking Nadine while laughing with satisfaction.

In the past, even though Nadine had above average basketball skills, Nadine always refused when someone offered her entry into the basketball team, even though it was her school basketball team.

And the reason Nadine is pretty ridiculous actually.

Nathan has been with the basketball team since Junior High and Nadine doesn't want to join the basketball team because Nadine doesn't want to be the same as Nathan

Nadine has always been different from Nathan.

So if Nathan is on the basketball team, Nadine should be on the badminton team or the tennis team. Unfortunately, the talent that Nathan and Nadine have turned out to be the same. That is equally good at playing the orange round ball.

Maybe because from childhood Nathan and Nadine always brought the father to court basketball to see the basketball game. Be the basketball talent of the two twins so stand out.

"Be quiet! Or I'll hit your knee just done in that operation" Nadine snapped ferociously.

Nathan's getting cackled, though,

"So when the women's team match schedule starts. I can't wait to cheer you up on the field" Nathan once again mocked Nadine.

Nadine grunts lazily,

"It's funny, Nathan! There's no way you don't remember it" said Nadine sarcas.

Nathan chuckles. Nathan hasn't forgotten. Nathan just wants to tease his twin brother.

"Your boyfriend didn't come to see you?" Nadine diverted the conversation.

Nathan just slicked his shoulders. The last few weeks Veronica's been kind of avoiding Nathan. Or maybe just Nathan's feelings?

But Nathan was busy training ahead of the final yesterday. Darling, Nathan's school had to lose the final because Nathan had this damn knee injury.

But Vero didn't seem to come during yesterday's game either. Isn't this a little weird?

"Your relationship isn't in trouble, is it?" Nadine began to suspect.

"We're fine, Nadine! Don't get mixed up, okay!" Nathan ketus.

Nadine just sneered and didn't say anymore.

The doctor who treated Nathan entered the treatment room.

"How's Nathan, any complaints?" Ask the doctor who is also a friend of Dion's father.

Nathan shook his head, though,

"It's still a little pain, Doc," Nathan replied quickly.

"That's natural, and maybe for a month the pain will still disappear" the doctor gave an explanation.

Nathan and Nadine are just a sign of understanding.

"When can he go home, Doctor?" Ask Nadine next.

"But Nathan still has to walk using a cane a month ahead and do not do the workout first" added the doctor again.

Nathan just let out a frustrated breath.

A month without a workout, Nathan's life would definitely feel gray. Basketball has become Nathan's soul mate.

"And you're Nadine" the doctor looked over at Nadine wearing a basketball jersey.

"Don't forget to wear knee protectors in training or in matches! You don't want to be operated on like Nathan, do you?" The doctor's advice chuckled.

Nadine nodded, though,

"Ready doctor!" Nadine said while practicing respect.

Nathan just sneered at the strange behavior of his twin brother.

Not long after, the doctor came out of Nathan's treatment room. A moment of silence.

"Have you met Christian?" Nathan's question broke the silence.

"Yes. Chris is back at school today. Even though his nose was broken, at least he could still play basketball," Nadine slightly chuckled.

"You're mocking me?" Nathan thunts.

"Mistake itself. Why should your precious knee be hurt? Does your head only contain revenge when you dribble the ball over the court?" Nadine still doesn't stop mocking Nathan.

"You won't know what it's like, when the girl you love and care for with all your heart is kissed by a fucking jerk guy" Nathan said.

"Curtain! guarded with all my heart what? Aren't you also a jerk and kissed Vero's lips often in the school's backyard?" Nadine opens Nathan's ace.

Damnit damnit!

Nathan repeatedly cursed in his heart.

"You know, what Christian told me when I broke up with us a few months ago?" Nadine had a serious face.

"What's that?" Nathan asked and was curious.

"Said Chris, Vero who had teased him and deliberately set a trap so that you hate Chris even more. And Chris also said that Vero was not a good girl," Nadine said with a still serious look.

Nathan's laughter exploded,

"Hahaha, and you just trust Chris?" Nathan's still laughing.

"That's Chris's only wits, so no one thinks he's a jerk who's ruining other people's relationships" Nathan's laughter begins to subside.

"It's only natural that you trust Veronika more. You're her boyfriend," Nadine sneered.

"And do you want to defend Christian now? Do you still have feelings for Christian?" Nathan taunted Nadine.

To be clear, it immediately made Nadine lean towards Nathan.

But Nathan is not his name if he is immediately afraid and stops mocking just because of a sharp gaze,

"Alright, Nad! If you still love each other, why don't you go again? Chris and I will compete healthily on court after this" Nathan said in a mocking tone.

"Be quiet! You pinch!" An irritated Nadine immediately hit Nathan's leg, which was still wrapped in bandages.

"Awww! Damn you Nad!" Nathan screamed with all his might as his painful legs grew more painful.

Did Nadine just hit Nathan's foot in full force?

Unlike Nadine who is now laughing satisfied.

"Not bring it up!" Chirps Nadine who is still chuckling.

Nathan just sneered as he continued grimacing withstanding the pain in his knee.

You fierce girl!

Exactly four in the afternoon, Nadine just arrived at her school.

Many women's basketball teams have arrived. Some of them did not seem to go home first and chose to wait until training hours.

Nadine rushed towards the field. Nadine's friends have started warming up.

But when he just took off his jacket, netra Nadine accidentally saw Audy who was talking to Christian in the corner of the basketball court.

The two captains of the team looked familiar. Are they dating now?

Nadine chose to turn her face away and ignore both captains of the team. Nadine immediately took to the field to join the rest of the team.

And during the women's basketball team rehearsal, Chris didn't move from the edge of the court. The captain of the men's basketball team was watching one of the women's basketball team.

And I don't know why Nadine felt that Christian was watching her earlier. Nadine was really feeling uncomfortable.

Nadine's feelings alone, or Chris was watching her?
