My Ottoman Girl

My Ottoman Girl
I Pinang Thou with all love

After breakfast this morning I plan to go to a jewelry store. I want to buy a wedding ring as my dowry for Aygul. It was all sudden and like the end of tomorrow, but I was determined in my heart to take Aygul with me after he officially became my wife. I'm gonna try to treat it somehow and where I don't care.

I don't want to do it a second time. Leaving the girl after knowing her health condition. And I'm not a coward !

Syafri took me to a jewelry store downtown. As we entered the shop a male servant greeted us kindly.

"Good morning Sir. Can I help U?" her greeting

Syafri who is already familiar with the conditions and environment of this city immediately acts as my tour leader.

" yes. We are looking for a wedding ring for this Master" he said.

Then he invited us into the room. There are already several glass tables in it stored various kinds of jewelry.

" Okay, sir. You can choose here. There are some recent models that we deliberately created limited edition" he said while removing 1 yellow gold ring with a diamond crown.

I'm actually confused by Aygul's finger size. But I immediately thrust my little finger in front of the officer.

" Please size it according to my pinky" I replied

Then the officer showed me some models of rings.

I chose a simple diamond-eyed ring the size of a corn seed. The clerk gave his thumbs up like he approved of my choice.

After paying and placing her on a small silver box we both rushed to a Muslim clothing store that was not far from the jewelry. I don't know why I'm like dreaming about looking for goodies for my future lawyer.

I smiled considering that a few weeks ago I accompanied Zein looking for engagement supplies for my sister Izza.

Ah Zein now I've experienced a thumping feeling like you. It's approaching 11:00 local time, maybe in 1 hour I'll call Zein because he's back from his hospital.

" Shafri I'm just looking for a set of prayer equipment for Aygul. Right now I just need that. The rest I will buy her after we have held kabul ijab. Because of this emergency" I told him. Syafri nodded in understanding.

Exactly 50 meters we walked, I saw a pretty big boutique.

A middle-aged man wearing typical Turkish clothes greeted us. After Syafri expressed my intention to find a woman's prayer equipment.the man showed me a mukena made of fine silk. And a white abaya and hijab made of silk.

I immediately picked the best option in the store. I asked them to wrap it in a basket decorated with silver tape.

After all, I invited Syafri to find a coffee shop. The thirst that I had been holding back must have felt it too

This coffee shop is very simple but cleanliness deserves a thumbs up. I ordered Ice coffee latte and Syafri ordered Ice lemon tea.

" How's your next plan, man?" syafri asked while stirring his drink cup.

" After this we will go to Aygul's house. And as much as possible I will ask for it today. Shafri if you can find me someone who can marry me religiously first. So that I can be free and lawful if I come into contact with her when I bring her treatment." I asked for sure

Syafri thought a little.

" I'll call Elif to ask him first."

Shortly afterwards he had a conversation with his wife on a mobile phone.

I don't understand what he's talking about because he's using a thick Turkish dialect.

A moment later he hung up the phone with a smile.

" Hafiz are you sure of your decision? have you thought about all the causes and effects that will happen next?"

I scrunched my forehead confused by her question. I admit that my decision was rushed. Maybe some people think I'm too rash. Even my own father also doubted my sincere intention to marry Aygul. But all I have intended because Allah ta'ala I will marry my girl whatever her condition. That love alone is not enough to build a household, there must be sacrifice and understanding for the person we love.

" God willing, I've thought about it, my friend. No need to worry. I'll ask for it with all my love. And I'll make her happy. "My word convinced him.

" Well, Elif said there was an Imam in the mosque close to the Aygul residence. Maybe ba'da prayers dhuhur we can visit him" he said.

I nodded my head. And invite Sharif to immediately go to the mosque that was suggested. We'll be heading to the car park soon.

In Indonesia

The Hafiz family in Indonesia looks restless. Mr. Candra and his wife seem to dwell on each other at the dinner table. And their youngest daughter looks like she's on the phone.

Shortly thereafter he had finished his conversation with someone on the phone.

" How's son? what's Zein's answer?" ask his father

Izza sighed first before sitting in front of his father.

" Dad, Mas Zein has explained that Mas Hafiz has known Aygul for a long time since they went to college and his relationship broke up before Mas Hafiz returned to Indonesia."

"Dad doesn't believe me, son, Because Dad felt surprised by Mas Mu's decision that moreover he never told all his personal problems to the father and the girl who will be married was in a state of illness. The one you're afraid of is just impetuous for pity instead of really loving her" Dad explained.

Mom's face looked cloudy. Then he replied to my father.

"Mother knows Hafiz as a very responsible adult male. Trust in his decision. Maybe all is in a hurry but we should see his good intentions want to bring him to treatment and help find a cure for Aygul."

Izza felt his father's heavy sigh. Maybe his father was less pleased with his brother's decision. Because of the condition of his future wife. Perhaps it was their social condition that made her father think more. But as a brother who loves his only brother very much he is determined to help convince his father to approve his brother's decision.

" I'm sorry Izza before. If Izza's words make me object. Izza remembered once with all the advice and words of father and mother for our future. Dad trusted all of our decisions as long as we could take responsibility. The same decision Izza received suggestions Mas Zein at the age of Izza who was young. And Izza believed once that father and mother are very wise old men and never distinguish between social status and condition of a person. If Aygul was in Izza's position, would you allow the man who loves Izza to marry Izza?" Izza asked softly without any intention of patronizing her parents especially her father.

Mr. Candra scooped up his face with both palms of his hands that had started to wrinkle.

It seemed that his youngest son had pinched the softest side of his heart.

"Astaghfirullah hal adzim. I almost hurt your heart. Your words made father aware. We should not look down on someone who is weak and in desperate need of our help. It's good, son. Please call your mas immediately. I want to talk to him directly" replied the father, hugging Izza.

A line of smile of embellished relief on the lips of the mother.

Indeed, as children we are still obliged to respect the parents who have given birth and raised us with all their physical souls. If there are differences of opinion or incompatibility of attitude with parents, they will be expressed with full honesty and soft language. So that parents don't feel we're guru, and we're about.

Whatever the differences of opinion is as much as possible in a good conversation and good manners are maintained so that parents will feel more appreciated and respected.

So even as parents, should be able to be wise and listen to all complaints of the daughter's son, along with harmonizing different desires in order to always side by side with both desires without the need to feel defeated.

Izza immediately dialed her brother's phone number.

Sounded 2x last connect tone ..

Hafis: Assalamualaikum

Izza : Waalaikum salam Mas, this father wants to talk for a moment

Hafiz: Yes good . Where is he

Izza gave his phone to Dad.

Hafiz: Assalamualaikum Yes. Hafiz just wanted to call.

Father: Waalaikum greetings son. Hafiz where are you now?

Hafiz: Hafiz is still in the mosque. We'll soon meet Baba ostman's house. He was a priest who married Hafiz and Aygul.

Father : Son. Will you wait for Dad, Mom and your sister ? we leave tomorrow morning for Turkey. We'll all be with you when you get married.

Hafiz : Alhmadullah.. Father did Hafiz dream?

Seen on the mobile screen both the eyes of his eldest son were already wet by the tears of haru

Father: No son, you are not dreaming. Today Ira's gonna get me a plane ticket to Turkey. Coincidentally your Dad's, Mom's and sister's Visas and Passports are still valid.

Would you delay your wedding wait for all of us?

Hafiz: Good Dad. Hafiz will be waiting for Dad. And Hafiz will pick up Dad at the airport.

Father: good, son. I'll call Ira soon to find a ticket to Turkey. Wassalamualaikum

Hafiz: Daddy Waalaikum. Greetings to Mother

The phone conversation is over. Mr. Candra immediately contacted Ira Hafiz secretary to find a plane ticket to Turkey. He told Izza to ask Zein if he could follow them to Turkey to watch his son's wedding.

Coincidentally tomorrow is Saturday and Zein has also applied for leave to invite Izza to find a session before. Eventually Zein's stolen plan was used to bring his future in-laws and future wives to Turkey.

A feeling of relief and excitement was seen from Mother and Izza's faces.

They will accompany their loved ones to lead a new life to complete the sunnah rosulnya.

Selcuk, Izmir

After receiving the call from Dad a feeling of relief and happiness enveloped my heart.

I didn't expect my parents and brother to be accompanying my wedding all of a sudden.

I immediately informed Syafri and changed the schedule of the event I had planned.

I originally planned to marry Aygul later tonight and would soon bring him to Indonesia in a few days. But now I'll postpone it 2 more days.Waiting for my family's arrival.
