Ratna who was chatting on the side of the road with mothers who were shopping for vegetables at a traveling merchant rushed home when she saw Adam leaving by riding a motorbike.
Adam's scarlet face indicates if he is angry, making the mother of three children was worried about what really happened.
Wh why? Why is his son-in-law so angry? Did his daughter make a mistake again? What the hell is going on?
Because Ratna had never seen Adam angry all this time. Although when visiting his house often the man feels uncomfortable, but he never gets angry or shows his face to others.
Ratna returned home, but the house was deserted there was no one out there.
"Origin, Rara!"
Call the woman in the blue hijab as her foot passes through the wide open front door.
But there is no answer from either.
Apparently not long after Ali came, the three little children went to the house of Jamil, a neighbor who was right in front of Ratna's house.
When the boy played there with Pinkan Jamil so that Ali did not hear the quarrel between papa and his mother in the room.
"By!"
call Ratna when you see the atmosphere of the house looks lonely like there is no one.
"Rome!"
Call the mother again as she walks into the house.
"Mom!"
"Open the door, Mom! Rara's in the lock here by Adam's mas!"
Shouted Rara while squirming the door signifying if she was in the room.
Ratna turned the key that was still hanging on the door twice so that the door could open.
"What's going on?" Ratna asked the child as soon as she saw Rara's face.
But immediately he got the answer to the question when his eyes hit the box of goods owned by Rara whose contents were scattered on the mattress.
Finally what Ratna had been afraid of happened. The time bomb that Rara hid exploded already, destroying everything maybe even her daughter's household as well.
"Mas Adam was angry with me Mom. She accused me of cheating on her back because of looking at these things, "I'm honest.
Not answering the princess's question, Ratna instead asked back in an anxious and worried tone.
"Are you okay, Ra? Adam didn't hit you, did he?"
Ratna held Rara's chin and turned the white face left and right, watching closely, who knew there were wounds or traces of persecution that Adam had done to his son.
However, seeing Rara's ship-like room break up makes Ratna worried that Adam is venting his anger on his wife.
Ratna also looked at Rara's arms and wrists, and all was safe. There were no traces of KDRT on his daughter's body.
For Ratna it does not matter if all the goods have to fall apart for the outlet of Adam's anger because after all it happened because of the fault of his daughter as well, the important thing is that the man did not hit his son.
If the item is damaged, it can be bought again. But if the child is destroyed who will replace it?
"I'm fine Mom!"
Rara replied to the sadness in the heart of the mother.
"Adam didn't hurt you, did he?"
"No Ma'am. Adam didn't hurt me physically, but he hurt me. He accused me of treason behind his back. He accused me of having an affair with Rangga when he was not home" Rara repeated.
Ratna hugged the crying Rara while patting her son's back to calm Ali's mother.
"Formerly, I told you. Throw away all the things that Rangga gave you so that Adam will not be jealous of your relationship. If you want to keep it, put it in the central room sideboard, put it there so that everyone knows so that Adam does not suspect and does not feel all that is special. Or better if you tell your husband everything" said Ratna. "But you don't care, don't believe what you say."
"Sorry Mom. Rara shouldn't have ignored mom's advice. Rara is sorry Mom! If Rara had followed my mother's advice, this might not have happened. Adam wouldn't be jealous and angry at me until this."
Rara hugged Ratna tightly as she pleased. Squeezing the back of the mother's robe as an expression of regretting her stupidity that crossed the line because it had underestimated her husband.
Rara thought Adam would not be jealous of the things that became the story in Rara's past, because of the attitude of indifference and did not care about her husband all this time.
"Not crying. Don't regret what happened. You who are patient, we accept all of Adam's decisions with a breast."
Ratna patted her son's back.
"Continue Rara should how do you? Rara what to do now?"
Rara asked as she looked at the mother's face, asking for an opinion.
"Not do anything. You just shut up. Let's wait how your husband reacts next."
"If Adam divorced me because of this, how would it be?"
Ask Rara worriedly. She does hate Adam but parted ways due to a misunderstanding that happened to both of them, Rara does not want it to happen.
Rara realized that Adam had done the KDRT to her, but it was all due to her fault as well. If Rara does not keep all the goods given by Rangga, this may not happen either.
Rara knows that Adam is a selfish man and wants to win by himself. But her husband is open to men who are light-handed and love to hit.
Ratna sighed at the question of her son. Don't know what to answer? Even so as a mother she still had to give an answer that could make her daughter's heart calm and not feel guilty.
"Mom doesn't know what to say. But if he wants a divorce, what can he do. Didn't you want a divorce from her yesterday too, right?
Maybe according to him, divorce is the best way for your current problems. Because surviving with people who don't believe in us is also difficult" Ratna explained to her daughter.
"You don't have to be sad, divorce is not the end of everything" Ratna said, wiping away tears on Rara's cheeks, "Even if you split up, I won't blame you or judge you. This house will always be open to you. You can come whenever you want."
"Thank you Mom, you're always there when Rara gets into trouble. Rara is so grateful to be a mother's son."
Rara hugged Ratna tightly. So did Ratna who hugged her daughter.
Ratna also said if she was happy because Rara prefers to tell the household problems she experienced to the mother rather than others. So that no bad rumors arise about the household of the two of them.
In addition, Ratna also told Rara that lately Adam was suspicious of the past mass of Rara and asked his daughter to be more careful when close to Rangga so that Adam was not suspicious and jealous blind any more. Because yesterday when Ratna asked Adam to deliver to the rice field, the son-in-law had wondered to him about the man in Rara's past.
Although Adam's words were not straightforward but Ratna felt that her daughter-in-law was delicately investigating through their small talk.
Luckily Ratna was quick to respond so she could divert Adam's chatter on something else that made her daughter-in-law not wonder anymore.
"You be careful going forward. If you can't explain, it's good not to play with fire, so you don't burn!"
"Yes ma'am, thanks for the advice," replied Rara sincerely.
****
Sorry yeah. All these events did happen because of Rara's own mistakes so this chapter Rara admits if all because of her attitude that always underestimated her husband who was careless.
If Rara is honest with all the items Rangga notices to Adam, surely Adam will not be angry either.
