I haven't been in Korea for two months. A week ago my dad called me. How happy I am to hear my father and mother in good condition and now they are trying to finish their business and will soon pick me up to Korea. I really can't wait for that time to come, I really miss my father and mother and Indonesia.
Tok….
“Iya... login...” I opened the door and it was Yoon-Hee.
“Yoon-Hee, what's up?” I asked, it was strange because all this time he never greeted me this sweet.
“Do you have time?” He looked at me a little more friendly than usual.
“Wae... What is it?”
“Later there will be winter festival, how about we take a walk?” He showed her a sweet smile.
“Aah... Can!” I welcome her happily.
“Okey... but don't tell anyone you're going with me, okay? Because it will sound strange later,” he said as he breezed out of my room.
“Aah... okey,” replied.
Sound weird? Strange what? I still don't understand what Yoon-Hee means by suddenly taking me for a walk.
Evening has arrived. The weather is very cold in my opinion.
Though I have worn the thickest clothes I have, but this cold still feels very penetrating my pores. Yoon-Hee walks me into her car. I don't know where the car is going. I feel so far away that I don't know where I am.
About thirty minutes into our car we stopped at a foreign road I had never been to before.
“You better get down here first. I'll find the parking spot. If you come with me later when you get here it will be crowded with people who want to see the winter festival, and we won't be able to see it at close range,” Yoon-Hee said.
Unsuspecting me to get out of his car. I sat next to a not-so-busy highway and passed by vehicles. The weather's getting colder. I don't see many people passing by. About fifteen minutes Yoon-Hee still hasn't seen the trunk of her nose.
“What's the parking lot that far? until now Yoon-Hee has not come yet,” I muttered in my heart.
I saw my watch was over nine o'clock in the evening. There is no sign of a festival in the area. About thirty minutes Yoon-Hee still hasn't shown up. Panic started to appear in my brain.
“What was Yoon-Hee kidnapped so it didn't get here? Or did he faint in the car? Which area is this? Ah... How is this?” I got out of my seat and walked in an uncertain direction. I just saw a line of shops that were partially starting to close. I panicked incredibly, in a foreign city that I didn't quite understand.
The cold weather made my bones freeze every time I moved them. I wanted to ask you something about the people around me, but I was powerless. Because my language is weak. Sometimes I use English, but most of them answer in Korean which I don't know what it means.
I kept going in no direction. Fear and panic haunt me. I was crying so much. I reached into my right and left pocket. My phone was left behind in Yoon-Hee's car, I was completely unable to contact Ji-Sung or the others. I can't move my legs anymore. I feel like I've walked a long way. I sat down on the sidewalk looking at the car in front of me. I hope Brother Ji-Sung soon finds out where I am. I hope Yoon-Hee will catch up with me soon.
I was crying as much as possible. Suddenly something fell on my knee. White clean and cold. Slowly falling free from the sky.
This is my first snow. Why did I get my first snow in this terrible condition? The longer the white stuff gets heavier. I'm getting cold. My head felt like it was a very heavy thing. Ah... Am I going to die of hypothermia here? I can't take it anymore and it's all dark.
