S2. Good News

Sofia murmured, she encouraged herself to remain optimistic and tried to get a child she had been waiting for.

2 Months later

Sofia is busy taking care of her restaurant which is getting more and more crowded. The theme of the contemporary room is cozy and interesting to make the cafe became crowded by visitors.

While processing restaurant finances, Sofia suddenly felt nauseous when she saw a serving of sweet sour shrimp food passing in front of her.

"Mother why? is mom okay?" asked one of her restaurant employees who was panicking to see her nauseous.

"Keep that shrimp. I really feel like it" said Sofia while covering her nose so as not to smell the aroma of her food.

"Tumben ma'am, usually I don't have a problem with the food. Don't be bad for the cooking".

"I also don't know, just don't get that shrimp near here, it feels really good".

"Are you pregnant?" one of the other officers.

"Pregnant?".

"Yes mom. Usually if people who are nauseous smell that, it could mean pregnant. I tried it first, there's no harm in trying".

"Yes too. Yes, I'm asking you to buy a test pack".

"Good ma'am".

One of his restaurant staff went to buy him a test pack. After the test pack has been purchased, Sofia immediately goes to the bathroom and tries to test it.

He waited for about 15 minutes and continued to pray while closing his eyes.

After 15 minutes, Sofia opened her eyes slowly and looked at the test pack.

He saw 2 red lines listed in the test pack, as soon as Sofia closed her mouth in disbelief. He cried happily, because his wait had finally been granted.

The employees approached him to find out the results obtained, after knowing that his boss was pregnant, they all congratulated him because they knew how his boss had struggled so far.

Sofia can't wait to quickly go home and tell Vernon when he gets home from work.

In the afternoon, Sofia had arrived home with a face of sumringah. She waited for her husband's return by preparing a test pack that she had put in a small box, to give a little surprise to her husband.

After waiting for about 30 minutes, finally heard the sound of a car entering the yard.

Sofia immediately stood in front of the door holding the small box. When Vernon opened the door, he was surprised to see his wife standing at the door with a sweet smile.

"What's this about? tumben's the smile".

"I have a gift for a mas, this" Sofia handed her husband a small box of test packs.

"What'sthis? I'm not having a birthday anymore" Vernon said confusedly.

"Open it up" Sofia asked again.

Vernon complied with what his wife said and immediately opened his small box. He smiled happily when he saw the test pack inside showing two red lines.

"You pregnant, baby?".

"Yes mas".

"Alhamdulillah O Allah. Finally I will be a father" cried Vernon with a prostration of gratitude because his wait all this time can finally come true.

"Thank you, I'm so happy. We take good care of our children together yes" continued Vernon while holding Sofia's shoulder.

"Yes, we will take care of it together" said Sofia with eyes starting to glaze over.

Vernon smiled then showered all over Sofia's face with a kiss, he then lifted Sofia ala bridal style and brought her to the room.

"Loh mas why in the car anyway, I can walk alone".

"Cannot. Starting today, you can't be soybean and can't be far from the supervision of the public" Vernon said began to be overprotective.

"Yes my husband".

"That's dong. Let's go to bed now, tomorrow morning I'll accompany you to see the gynecologist".

"Was not working?".

"Yes, I can't wait to tell this happy news to our family".

"Yes, my father and mother are very happy" Vernon said.

The next morning as planned, Sofia and Vernon go to the obstetrician to check on their baby's condition.

Arriving at the hospital, Sofia is immediately examined by a doctor.

"Sofia's mother's village is fine and is only 2 weeks old. I hope the father and mother can be together to take care of the baby, because it is still very vulnerable" said the doctor.

"So my wife is really pregnant Doc?".

"It's right sir. What a wonderful thing for Sofia's mother to be pregnant, you must have been trying so hard all this time. Congratulations sir, ma'am".

"Thank God you are really pregnant dear" said Vernon staring fixedly at the wife.

"Yes mas".

"Thank you doctor, we're saying goodbye" Vernon said.

"Good sir".

Along the corridor of the hospital, Vernon did not let go of his hand at all to Sofia. Again a smile bloomed on Sofia's face.

"It's a shame that we went to the house of the father and mother, yes, they must be very happy to hear the news about your pregnancy" said Vernon.

"Yes, I'll tell Mom and Angel later too".

Sofia and Vernon finally make their way to the residence of Bram's father and Anya's mother.20 minutes later, they finally arrive.

Sofia takes out a small box and gives it to Anya's mother.

"Wait what is this? don't-don't.." Sonya's mother hung up her words.

"Dad, yeah here's a minute".

"What's the morning of screaming?" bram's dad just came out of his study.

"This is the look of Vernon and Sofia came early in the morning he said he wanted to tell the happy news, continue to be loved mother of this box".

"What's that?".

"Let's open up. Mommy already has a hunch, but we first see if the mother's guess is right or not".

anya and Bram's father together open a small box and find Sofia's test pack.

"It's true mother's guess".

"Are you really pregnant with Sofia? we're gonna get a grandchild? bram's father was very happy and excited to learn of his daughter-in-law's pregnancy.

"Yes right dad, mom" said Sofia.

"Thank you Vernon, Sofia. Finally you can grant the request of father and mother. We can't wait to hold a grandchild" Anya said.

"Look, mom and dad are so happy. Thank you dear" Vernon whispered to Sofia.

"Sama-sama mas" Sofia replied.

Sofia kissed Vernon's lips briefly, then rested her head on her husband's shoulder, while looking at her two happily smiling in-laws.
