S2. Fear of Losing

I'll never leave you Sofia. You are my first love and until ever, you will be my last love. Even if I don't have children, I will be with you forever. Vernon murmured, rubbing their wedding photos.

Vernon has finished his work. Now he is ready to go home. He can't wait to meet his beloved wife.

While in the elevator, he met Bianca who was in a hurry to get into the elevator while crying sobbing.

"Why are you Bianca?" asked Vernon confused.

"Please help me Vernon. My half-brother wanted to hit me, now he's following me all the way here" Bianca said.

"Why would he hit you? and also why do you have to run to my office and trouble me huh?" annoyed Vernon because his return will be longer.

"He blames me for the bankruptcy of the company, I beg you this time please help me, I could die if he finds me Vernon".

"I'm in the car right now" Vernon said.

Vernon ended up driving his car with Bianca who was beside him.

"Where do you want me to take you?".

"I want to come with you, he'll find me if I stay at the hotel or my other family".

"can't. You want to make Sofia angry? quickly tell me where or I'll drop you down here" Vernon said.

"I'll explain it to Sofia. I beg you very much Vernon. Just tonight I stay, I promise I'll go tomorrow. But please tonight yes, I beg you" Bianca said with tears.

Vernon took a deep breath, looking like he was thinking about something.

"alright. But if my household falls apart because of you, I'll make sure your half-brother will find you and kill you" Vernon said after a moment of thought.

"Yes I promise".

Vernon finally decides to take Bianca home with him.

Elsewhere, Sofia waits for Vernon to return home from work. He was seen pacing back and forth in the living room, as it was already midnight but Vernon had yet to show any sign of his return.

Where the hell are you, I'm afraid this time you haven't come home yet. Sofia murmured, still pacing back and forth.

Not long after, the sound of cars began to enter their homes.

Sofia smiled at her husband who had come home. She hurried out to greet her husband.

"Your mother is already pu.." her speech and steps stopped seeing her husband coming home with the woman, who was none other than Bianca, the one who had injured him first.

The smile that had been expanding, disappeared instantly.

"Oh yes, dear. Sorry I came home late, Bianca asked for help from the mas earlier" said Vernon so slowly. He knew his wife must be angry.

"Why did you bring this woman here? to our house" said Sofia cynically.

"She asked to stay here just for tonight, because she's being chased by her half-sister. I also met him at the office. I do not want to take him to another mas house, because I do not want you to misunderstand" said Vernon at length.

"Yes Sofia is right. Please help me. I know, I've been wrong with you all this time. I didn't mean anything, I just asked Vernon for help as a friend, nothing more".

"alright. You take care of your guests, I go upstairs first".

"She must be so angry, right? I'm sorry Vernon" said Bianca, looking down.

"I'll talk to him. You can go to the guest room by yourself, right?".

Bianca nodded.

Vernon finally heads upstairs to meet Sofia. He opened the door and found his beloved wife lying on the bed.

"Dear" call Vernon. He touched his wife's shoulder, which was shaking from crying.

"Please don't cry, baby. I have nothing to do with him, really" Vernon said softly.

"I'm afraid mas, I'm afraid you're leaving me because of him".

"Who knows? you could have liked him. Moreover, I haven't been able to give you a child yet" Sofia said as she sat on the bed.

"Stop saying that Sofia. How many times have I told you that I've never had a problem with that? what kind of husband do you think I am that leaves his wife just because she hasn't been given a child?" yelled Vernon, unable to hold back his emotions.

Vernon came out of their bedroom and slammed the door so hard.

Sofia who was the first to see Vernon's anger like that, immediately cried. He doesn't know why he became like this.

Bianca, who was out of her room, overheard Vernon and Sofia fighting. Then Vernon is seen coming out of the room with an emotional face and leaving the house.

Bianca heads to Sofia's room, and finds her crying.

"Sofia, can I come in?" ask Bianca.

Sofia quickly wiped away her tears then nodded.

"You got a problem with Vernon? is it because of me?".

"Not really" Sofia said briefly.

"I know you're still mad at me Sofia. But please, this time believe me, I have no intention of ruining your household. You know what if I broke it Vernon would do".

"Yes I know. But there's another problem".

"You mind telling me? I'm ready to be your listener" Bianca said.

"I haven't been able to give a child to Vernon. I'm afraid he's leaving me".

"Are you sure Vernon is that kind of person?".

Sofia fell silent. She knew her husband was not that person, but somehow her feelings were filled with fear.

"Vernon couldn't have left you Sofia. He really loves you. Remove all your fears, it will only make your relationship with Vernon become tenuous" continued Bianca.

"Why are you suddenly nice to me?".

"Because I know, taking Vernon away from you is a waste. Even when she was dating me back then, she was still thinking about you Sofia" Bianca explained.

"Yes I was wrong and I was stupid. I have to what now? must be very angry Vernon is now".

"Calm down. Let him calm himself down, then you guys talk about it".

Sofia nodded while continuing to sob. That night Bianca tries to calm Sofia down.

Vernon is currently at his brother Joshua's residence. He tried to calm himself there.

"You got a problem especially now?" joshua asked his brother who looked frustrated.

"Sofia still keeps thinking I'm leaving her because I don't have children yet. I explained it was impossible".

"You should understand Sofia's feelings, don't get angry like this. He must be very scared right now. Go see your wife and apologize"

"Don't argue. You guys should be able to hold back your emotions. This apalgi is about children, all wives will be afraid if her husband leaves her" Joshua said.

Vernon returns home and finds Sofia with Bianca.

"I go first yeah, hurry up and get better for both of you" said Bianca leaving Vernon and Sofia both in the room.

unfinished Sofia spoke, Vernon immediately hugged her very tightly.

"Mas sorry dear. I should have known, you must have been so scared".

"Mas wants us to see a doctor to determine what causes we have not had children until now. You want to, right?" Vernon.

"Yes, I want to" said Sofia.

"Thank you dear" said Vernon kissing gently on his wife's lips.
