Vernon Bramaputra, a cold-hearted handsome man who is very indifferent. He is a new lecturer at a famous university in Jakarta.

Vernon was actually the son of a rich man, but he did not want to continue his father's company and chose to become a lecturer, so his father and brother were overwhelmed to take care of the company. He is the youngest child and has an older brother, Joshua Bramaputra.

Formerly Vernon had a dark period, where he was always bullied at school and in his housing complex due to his physical. But there was one woman who wanted to befriend him without shame, named Sofia Angelista.

"If Vernon you have to continue working in the father's company, why should you choose to become a lecturer?" bram's father is upset that his son is so stubborn.

"yes". Reply Vernon cuek. "Keep meeting your childhood best friend?". Joshua again asked his sister about Sofia his little sister's friend.

"No, I didn't go there just dad and mom". Vernon's answer still looks squeaky.

"Well, don't miss what?". Joshua said just averted Vernon's eyes and stared intently at the older brother.

Joshua who saw the sharp gaze of the younger brother felt funny and he laughed at the behavior of his younger brother. Yes Vernon does not like if his brother discusses his little friend, because he thinks Sofia is the same as other friends who just use it.

The flashback

Vernon and Sofia have been best friends since childhood, since they always went together. Without them noticing each other, they liked each other. But not wanting to ruin the friendship, they end up choosing to love in silence. Many sneered at Sofia who was a prima donna at school because she wanted to be friends with Vernon who was nicknamed "bookworm" and fat. But Sofia does not bother and remains friends with Vernon until finally there is a misunderstanding between them.

"Fia lo kok remain the same nerd anyway? not bored what? where is he older". Ask my colleague Sofia Early when she was in Junior High.

Sofia and Dini did decide to eat in the cafeteria during the break. Dini was upset to see her friend always go with Vernon anywhere. Yes, their Junior High School and High School are indeed joined so that they are both inseparable except during this break time, but today Dini suddenly took Sofia to the cafeteria first before Vernon came so that they would not go together, Dini thought.

"He's good, so you don't want to see the cover doang see also his heart dong". Sofia replied a little annoyed. Yes Sofia does not like her friend this one always mocked her best friend Vernon.

"Yes you're right, but I feel sorry for him. At first I pity him because often in bully mulu, not at home not in school is always bully material. He was smart, rich again. It would be good if his knowledge and wealth were used to be useful hahaha. But I'm really sincere about his relationship, I think he's the best friend ever, even I think I'm starting to like him." Hearing that made Dini very surprised he did not think this friend could like the geeky guy, they did not realize there were people who had noticed them and were also surprised to hear Sofia's words. Yes Vernon heard Sofia's words, only he heard them until Sofia laughed. She did not hear Sofia's sincere words of being friendly with her and liked her.

That made Vernon disappointed, according to him the only friend who understood him turned out to be the same as his other friends who only used his intelligence and wealth only.

From that day on, Vernon was cold and indifferent to Sofia. Sofia who saw it was confused but she did not dare to ask Vernon. 2 days later the Vernon family moved to Jakarta because her father took care of his company there. Vernon moved without notifying Sofia and Sonya of the move, so he decided to change his phone number to avoid contact with Sofia's family.

At that time, Sofia who did not know anything felt very sad and disappointed to see her best friend leave without telling her and even her number could not be reached again.

Vernon remembers the frustrating past, according to him. Because it is also what makes Vernon become a person who is indifferent, cold and he also tried to diet desperately and also change his appearance so that others do not continue to look down on him.

Next day

Today was Vernon's first day teaching as a lecturer, he was getting ready to leave.

Elsewhere, Sofia is also preparing herself for college. Today is the first day the new lecturer teaches, he is curious about the face of his lecturer who he said was cool and cold.

Arriving at the campus, Sofia ran to her class, yes she was late to come because of traffic jam so she had to run to her campus because she saw her friend Angel sms who said the new lecturer had entered.

While at the door, Sofia starts to feel scared because the door of her class has closed. But he tried to calm down and started knocking on the door and opened it "sorry sir I'm late". Sofia said as she bowed, she was afraid to see the face of the new lecturer who seemed to want to kill her.

Vernon stared intently at the woman in front of him who kept bowing it "What's your name? why was it late on the first day I came in? I don't like students who are late for my class!". Vernon said while hitting the table. It made the entire student shiver and hold his breath. According to them the kiler is Bu Siska, much more killer this new lecturer.

"Sofia Angelista sir". Sofia timidly answered the question from her lecturer by bowing her head.

Vernon was surprised to hear the name, a name that felt familiar to his ears. Yeah, it's his best friend's name that disappointed him.

"Follow your head and repeat what your name is". Vernon's orders tried to convince his hearing.

Sofia finally lifted her head and looked at Vernon "Sofia Angelista sir". Sofia said timidly.

Vernon was very surprised because it was his best friend who had stood before him and was his student. "You...." Vernon said as he pointed at Sofia in disbelief.
