"Look, Kayla won't know."
Kayla's heart was beating so fast her body also suddenly felt very weak as she accidentally heard the voice of Avan who was contacting someone across there. That morning Kayla was looking for her husband for breakfast. He finally managed to find the figure he was looking for in the backyard, not far from the usual place kayla to hang clothes. Honey, when Kayla opened her mouth to call, she actually heard a sentence that made her suspicion increase.
"Don't tell me Avan's cheating," muttered Kayla Lirih holding her limp knees. Avan's wife was even almost dazed to make it."Who's she talking to? Why can't I know?"
Kayla continued to mutter voicing her thoughts. He was surprised when Avan suddenly approached after calling.
"Ila, what's wrong with you?" Avan asked with a worried face and worried to see Kayla trembling in her knees.
Kayla looked at her husband's face, wanting to ask, but what if Avan lied. He was very afraid if Avan turned out to be cheating. He is not ready to accept that fact.
"Ila, are you pale, are you sick? Can you walk? What are you doing here? Is it a sling?" The worried question sentence made Kayla a little worried, is it possible that the man who looks very concerned and worried about her would be willing to betray her?
Without waiting for a response from Kayla who kept silent, Avan immediately lifted his wife's body and took her to the room. Lay the body on the bed very carefully.
"What are you feeling, La? What's that hurting?"
Kayla was still staring at Avan with an erratic feeling. Why Avan's behavior lately continues to make himself suspicious. Starting from often caught red-handed replying to messages until the phone conversation Kayla just had with this morning. But, all of Avan's sweet attitude towards her has not changed at all. Avan is still making herself like a queen.
"Your?"
"I'm okay, my mom. Just a little bit limp." Answer Kayla origin. But, he was weak because he heard the trust Avan. So he's not lying.
"Welcome? Are you anemic?"
"Maybe, or..." Kayla hung up her sentence, and her stomach rang in the middle of that silence.
"Hungry?"
Kayla smiled faintly at Avan's guess. He just wanted to lure Avan to open up a little what the man was keeping secret. But Kayla's stomach rang, making Avan think Kayla was just hungry.
Avan giggles, and is followed by Kayla's clunky voice. Until they laugh for a long time. The long-haired man suddenly brought his face closer, then kissed Kayla's lips. Lips that are linked, and tongues that feel each other. Avan's face shifted and sank down Kayla's neck. Gives an amused sensation when Avan's lips touch his skin.
"Mass, I'm in the morning..."
"Oh yes, I forgot." Avan smiled at Kayla's increasingly blushing face. Shameful smile for wanting it at the wrong time. Avan stood up and pulled Kayla's hand to get up."Let's have breakfast."
Kayla and Avan were already sitting at the dining table. The man looked at the breakfast menu this morning. SOP of catfish, fried tempeh and sambal. Kayla took a plate for Avan, filled it with two rice cobs and poured SOP Ika patin, adding two pieces of fried tempeh and not missed the sauce.
"Sorry, I just cooked this." Say Kayla while putting down Avan's plate.
"No papa, La."
"Not perfect, ma'am, want to make another one." Kayla continued, now it's her turn to fill her plate with rice and side dishes.
"No papa, La. Sorry, but I didn't help you. Later in the afternoon, let the cooking mas all ready." Avan Promise.
The corner of Kayla's lips lifted upwards forming an indentation of a smile. "Well, I'll bring my own bike, yeah,"
"OK," Avan immediately agreed.
Time turned around, now, Kayla had moved to the hospital. Being a nurse and meeting many patients made Kayla think of her parents. As of this moment, he had just finished changing the bandage of a man of Rahman's age. The firm jaw and the blackened face of the sun reminded Kayla of her father. The patient was as friendly as his father. The old patient was even waited on by his wife who again made Kayla remember her mother.
Kayla served and had joked to the two elderly. That way, a little treat his longing in father and mother. But, after Kayla came out of the room, she was overcome with sadness and longing. Sad because until now, he did not dare to contact his parents. After their anger the other day. Kayla stared at the screen on her phone with the faces of Rohman's father and mother. The two men laughed at the camera. Kayla smiled wryly, watery eyes every time she remembered her father and mother leaving with anger.
"Emak, sir, sorry Kayla. Are you still mad at Ila?" The woman's murmured softly.
Seconds passed, turning into hours. Until her time Kayla ends her shift and goes home. Kayla enters the house that was left open by her husband. Little wonder, because usually if he comes home, Avan is still in sweet coffee or at one of his restaurants.
"Assalamualaikum, ma'am!" Kayla exclaimed as soon as she walked into the house, and sat in the living room, taking off her shoes and bag.
"Wa'alaikum salam" said Avan appeared from the inside.
"Why at home?"
Avan smiled, "did I say Ila would."
"Was it cooked?"
"Udah, stay fried tempe." Avan replied, "ila take a bath first, continue, fry tempeh yes?"
"Kok no skalian the hell mas, fried the temp?" Kayla protests raised lips by a few inches.
"Initially, let you fry." Avan grinned."hunt shower, mas already laper nih."
***
"Bag,"
"Yes, La?"
"Handel, I forgot to bring it."
"Start."
A moment Kayla waited, and then the door was knocked. Kayla opened a little to give a gap. Avan's hand was stretched out along with the towel there.
"Thank you for that." Kayla looked over from behind the door.
After taking a bath and dressed casually, Kayla to the kitchen, there Avan has finished bruising tempeh, just fried kayla. Kayla turned on the stove, then put a frying pan on top of her and poured oil. After the heat, then Kayla put tempe.
Amidst the activity of screeching tempeh, Avan suddenly approached and turned off the stove. Kayla turned around, staring at Avan protesting.
"Octobeyed anyway? It's not finished frying."
Avan glanced at the plate beside the stove, there were 8 pieces that were ripe. "It's okay, it's enough." He said, framing his wife's face. Staring at Kayla's bead eyes with a fondness. Feeling stared at the seintens, Kayla's face met with red. The long-haired man who tied his hair tightly carved a smile on his face. Slowly Avan's face approached, peeked at Kayla's forehead, and lingered there.
"Uuuggghh, um..." Kayla murmured in her heart unable to control the pounding in her chest. Unlike before, every close to the man who owned the hair, Kayla always found her heart beating uncontrollably. Could this be called love because it is used to it?
Avan's kiss moved from forehead to eyebrow, moving to left eye then to right eye. The nose, the cheeks, made the pounding on Kayla's chest even more crazy. Until he felt Avan's lips touch his lips.
