CHAPTER 24 My husband is my boss

10 Days before the wedding Clara is still undergoing her usual activities. Every day he went to the office with Hana. Until now Cakra has not come to see him. While in the office, Cakra and Clara never met. Hana also does not know where her sister is because her mother did not tell her anything about Cakra.

In the evening Anita and Wibowo's papi invite Clara to meet her parents at a restaurant. Hana is not with them while Cakra still has not met Clara. Clara felt her heart beat faster than usual. His hands are cold. Mami Anita who sat with him in the back seat tightly held Clara's hand trying to strengthen her.

"Mommy's with you, baby." He looked at Clara with affection.

"Mommy, I'm so lucky to meet someone like you, if my mom could be like you.." Clara is moved by Mami Anita's treatment of her.

"Sttt.can't say that, baby, after all, they're your parents. You should still appreciate them. Mommy doesn't want you to love your mom more than you love your parents."

"Mommy.." Clara hugged Anita's mom tightly.

The car has entered the restaurant area and the private driver Papi Wibowo has parked their car. Papi and Mami had gotten out of the car while Clara sat down for a moment to take a deep breath and got out of the car.

"Clara, come on baby, don't you miss them..?" Mami Anita pulls Clara's hand and walks together into the restaurant.

Clara saw clearly both her parents sitting at the table were staring at her walking towards the direction they were sitting. Clara took a deep breath hoping it was time for her family to get along again.

"Clara.. ? I miss you so much, son." Her mother stood up from her seat and hugged Clara. His father did not care about his presence.

"Can we start, I'm tired of waiting..!" Said Clara's father. He seemed to be very uncooperative with this meeting.

"Sorry to keep you waiting for a long time." Mr. Wibowo shook his father's hand.

"Yes, please." His father just sat back in the chair with his leisure like a man who has no manners.

"Well, how could I not be with my daughter at her wedding. Mom's coming, baby, so you don't have to worry about it." Her mother stroked Clara's hair.

"I can't promise to come and it seems like there's nothing to talk about anymore." His father left without saying goodbye or shaking the hands of Mrs Anita and Mr. Wibowo.

"That's why I can't hang on to her." His mother looked at her father who had left.

Lady Anita and Mr. Wibowo could only be speechless at the impolite nature of her father.

"Not to be so thoughtful, now let's eat." Lady Anita tried to calm her already emotional mother.

After quite a while they talked finally Cakra's parents ended their meeting.

"Clara, mommy will be waiting for you in the car, you please let go of longing with your mom." Mrs Anita and Mrs Wibowo join hands out of the restaurant while Clara and her mother are still sitting in the same place.

"So you've been living with them all this time? I've been looking for you here and there but couldn't find you."

"Yes mom, how's mom doing now?" Clara really misses her mother right now.

"I'm sorry dear mother, mother has remarried.mother will introduce you to the mother's husband." His mother felt very guilty about Clara.

"I'm very supportive of mom's decision as long as it can make you happy. I thought that Dad couldn't be with me when under bail why wasn't my mother's husband the one who was with me?"

"Do you really agree..?" His mother seemed surprised by Clara's decision. "It turns out you're a grown-up baby, I love you so much."
