"Astaghfiullah, Adnan. How are you? If you really want a widow, why are you so far away?" Umm Salma's question was still astonished by her eldest son.
Adnan took a long breath. "It's not his widow's problem, Mmi."
"Have you guys dated before you met?" Abi Musa and Adnan asked.
"At first I just felt challenged by what my wife said, bi. But, after getting married and living together for a week. I felt in love for the first time. My wife is not the same as those who are competing to be my wife or the woman who is wanted ummi to be my wife. With him, I felt like a useful man. I want to always protect my wife."
"Tomorrow we'll pick up our daughter-in-law, Ummi." The words of Abi Musa firmly made Umm Salma and Adnan surprised.
"But tomorrow Adnan has to teach, bi. And must attend tausiyah to the Regent's office," explained Adnan also.
"Who are you, Adnan? Abi just take Ummi with you" replied Abi Musa.
Adnan was even more surprised to hear Abi's reply. His mind was changed between his parents and Nirmala if he had met. "Abi and Ummi want to do it without me?" The question sounds panicked. Especially considering Nirmala's story to him before marrying his wife.
"Then and Ummi you will not hurt your wife. Very scared," said Umm Salma sewot.
Adnan scratched his non-itchy head. "Abi and Ummi wouldn't be so fierce, would they?" Just ask to make sure.
"Ummi wants to see. She's either fine or not. Ummi wants ummi grandchildren born from women are not good," said Ummi Salma a little unwilling if Adnan is married to a woman he does not know.
Adnan's body froze for a moment. Not yet had time to say something, both of his parents had moved into the room. "I'm afraid that Ummi and Lala will often misunderstand. May my worries be, O God."

"Ami, Abi. Please do good to my wife, yes. If my wife is wrong, well reprimanded. Don't get mad at him," Adnan was still worried until the next day his parents would actually go after Nirmala.
"You're this. Abi and ummi are not that bad," said Abi Musa and Adnan got a pinch from ummi Salma.
Adnan finally gave up, kissing the back of his parents' hands. So did Rizal, his sister.
"Mas. Stop by the stall. I'm hungry" said Rizal whining.
Adnan glanced at Rizal. "Eat at the cottage, only" he said.
Rizal clucked in annoyance. "In the vegetable cottage kale hold, mas. I'm bored," he lamented. Luckily their parents' house is close to Pondok Pesantren so it is easy for him to go home just to eat ummi Salma cuisine.
"Thankful. There are still many people out there starving and even eating rice used by others" said Adnan. That was how he always insisted on his sister.
Arriving at Pesantren, Adnan returned to the classroom to teach as well as Rizal.
The santri are happy for Adnan's return because they have missed their handsome ustadz.

"Assalamualaikum, Tadz." Said a woman with a long hijab and a covering of her face.
Adnan's eyes closed for a few moments when he heard a familiar voice, Farah. "Waalaikumsalam," he said without looking at the woman and wanted to leave the cottage immediately because he did not want to be slanderous.
"Ustadz, wait."
Adnan let out a long sigh without turning towards Farah. "Please, ustadzah. If it's not about work, we better not greet each other. I don't want any slander between us. For God's sake, I want to keep my wife's feelings."
