My billionaire mother
chapter 12

Chapter 12

"What are you doing here?" Yvette Jordan's eyebrows are wrinkled. This is the Ministry of Housing. He was surprised to see Chuck in such a place.

"I did a part-time job, learned how to transfer customer ownership" Chuck came up at random with the excuse. Otherwise, what could he say to Yvette?

"A part-time job?" The shock on Yvette's face was swept away. It was logical for him to do a part-time job here. Or, what other business will be here?

"Because you have chosen to do this, then do it well. If you do it here, I hear that an agent's salary can reach over ten thousand dollars", Yvette told him with a resigned expression.

Chuck nodded, meaningless for him to have more than ten thousand dollars a month now. If Yvette knew that she had bought her house, what would she think?

The agent was stunned for a moment but immediately understood Chuck's words. So he smiled and said, "I see you two know. Yeah, Chuck is a part-time agent. Today, I brought him here to let him know the process. Miss Jordan, would you rather she follow you, or…."

"Whatever" said Yvette coldly.

Chuck breathed a sigh of relief. Yvette looked around and was a little confused. "Where is the person who bought my house?"

"Boss is busy. He won't be able to come today". The agent apologized.

Chuck was a little nervous, as Yvette's brows knit themselves once more with a slight annoyance. "A deal's been made. How can we transfer ownership if he doesn't come?"

"Miss Jordan, don't worry. The boss has already told me to have Miss Jordan transfer her ownership to me first, then I will transfer it to the boss" the agent explained.

"Isn't that troublesome? When is the boss free? I am in no hurry because the deposit has already been paid. I can wait a day or two". Yvette's expression died down.

Chuck hurriedly winks at the real estate agent.

"The boss was busy recently, so he asked me to do it. It's a little inconvenient, but it's the only way. Don't worry, Miss Jordan. After today's transfer, the money will be immediately transferred to your. account" the agent said.

Yvette thought for a few seconds and nodded. "Well, it's okay. But who's the boss? He believes in you too much!"

"Haha, it's all because I'm trustworthy, isn't it?" The real estate agent laughed.

"Trust is only one aspect. That person must be rich to not care about this much money, so he lets you handle it. There are so many rich people in the city, and I know some of them. Who's this boss?" of yours? Maybe I know him". Yvette said coldly.

Chuck glanced at the agent and laughed silently. Indeed, they know each other…..

The real estate agent smiled and then laughed. "Haha, I guess so. After all, this boss is young and promising, so Miss Jordan should know her".

"Preferably?" Yvette's gaze glistened. It reminds him of someone. He always wondered why someone would choose to buy his house even though it was sold for only half a day. Moreover, they insist on not showing up for the transfer process. Could it be him?

Chuck curious. Who's he thinking?

"What's the boss's name then?" Yvette asked and her tone of voice became slightly hopeful.

Chuck suddenly became nervous. This real estate agent is smart, he wouldn't say it directly, would he?

"This guy... He is still young and promising. Miss Jordan, you can think of it for yourself" the agent said with a smile.

Yvette's face was filled with disappointment, but she did not give up and asked, "Baller! Is he called a Baller?"

Chuck's dumbfounded. It turned out that after some analysis, Yvette guessed it was "her"!

"Baller? He must be a baller. How could she not be a baller since she had bought Miss Jordan's house at full payment?" The agent said with a smile.

Yvette. They talk about two completely different things.

"Miss Jordan, please follow me!" Said the agent.

Yvette walked forward, her long, slender legs running across. However, when he saw Chuck not moving from his place, he frowned. "Chuck, don't you want to learn the transfer process? Why don't you follow? If you're trying to slack off, how can you do your job right?"

"What do you see? Hurry along!" The real estate agent was smart enough to wave at Chuck.

Chuck walked shyly.

"Yes". Chuck could only nod.

All three went to the Ministry of Public Housing. When the real estate agent was in line to process some documents, Chuck's phone suddenly shook. He hesitated to take it and look at it. It turned out to be a WeChat Yvette message: Baller, are you near me?

Seeing these words, Chuck was quite dumbfounded. She looked at Yvette silently and found that she was sitting and looking around, but she did not look at him at all.

Chuck smiled in relief, but at the same time, he smiled bitterly. It seems Yvette never expected him to be a "baler"!

If he knew that the "baler" was indeed Chuck Cannon, whom he had never thought of, how would his expression be? Chuck was afraid that Yvette would find out, so he hurriedly switched his phone to silent mode and put it in his pocket.

It vibrated several times in a row, which meant Yvette had been sending messages in quick succession. However, Chuck did not reply or check the messages at all. After a few minutes, the vibration stopped.

Chuck turned his head and saw a disappointed expression on Yvette's face. It was probably because Baller ignored it.

As expected, during the transfer process, Yvette's face was always calm, but fortunately, the process was quick. Two hours later, the transfer process was completed, and they headed to the bank.

Chuck followed the whole process. As they walked out of the bank, Yvette looked at Chuck disapprovingly and said coldly in disappointment, "You're no match for this job". After that, he left.

Chuck's dumbfounded. What's wrong? Does Yvette mean she's incapable? He was helpless and could not follow the agent into service anymore. It was only in the afternoon that he had transferred ownership. He breathed a sigh of relief.

Just as he was about to rest for a while, the furniture he ordered had arrived at his doorstep. Chuck could only drive back when they called him. It was not until seven or eight p.m., that the furniture was placed at his request.

Sitting on the sofa, Chuck felt as if these past few days were just a rushed dream. In just a few days, he actually had something that most ordinary people could only dream of but could not have, two houses and a BMW.

After lying down for a while, Chuck finally checked his phone. When he opened WeChat, he was dumbfounded. Yvette has sent seven or eight messages.

"Baller, why didn't you say anything? Are you in the Ministry of Housing? Are you afraid I'll see you?"

"Baller, you saved me and even transferred 200,000 dollars to me. You must be helping me because I know you, that's why I think my house was bought by you".

"Are you busy?"

"Sorry to bother you. You continue your work first…."

"Baller, the transfer is done. I'll buy you dinner, don't turn me down. I'll be at Modern Restaurant today".

"I've arrived at Modern Restaurant. Where're you?"

"Is this too sudden? Well, then, I'll apologize to you, but I've reached the restaurant. Can you come out to see me? I just wanted to say thank you"

"I'll be waiting for you today. Whether you come or not, I will wait for you…."

………………….

Chuck read this message, which was last sent a few minutes ago. His last message was filled with disappointment. Does that mean Yvette has been waiting for her at the Modern Restaurant for over an hour? Chuck's surprised. It's eight o'clock in the night, so Yvette's supposed to be gone, right? Chuck hesitated for a moment, then he got up and went to the restaurant.

On the way, Queenie Carson called, saying that she was very anxious. Why didn't the car owner call? Chuck could only answer that the car owner might not mind, and ask him not to think too much.

"But I made a mistake. I have to take responsibility" Queenie said.

"Because you have a good attitude, they may know and choose to let go. Don't think too much", Chuck comforted him.

"Well, I'll still be waiting for his call. I found a new part-time job today. That's in a western restaurant, 15 bucks an hour. I need to make money. Otherwise, if the owner called me, I wouldn't have the money to pay them back".

"Yes".

After hanging up, Chuck was glued. Such a serious and hardworking girl was hard to come by. He did not know where the restaurant he worked at was part-time, but at this moment, he had already arrived at the Modern Restaurant. Therefore, he did not continue to think about it.

He drove to the car park. When the security guard saw the luxury car swerving in, he immediately gave way and helped Chuck set up the parking lot. There are too many luxury cars nearby, so Chuck has to be careful when parking. When he finally parked his car, he got out and saw Yvette's car was still there. He's still waiting.

Chuck hesitated for a moment, then his phone rang as a WeChat message came in. He opened the app and saw that the message was from Yvette. There was an unimaginable disappointment in his words. "Baler, are you coming?"
