As a teenager General Virendra faced the darkest thing in his life. He was kidnapped and his life was almost lost. However, that was not the case for General Virendra.
Instead, when someone he loves must be willing to sacrifice in his place. The figure was General Virendra's younger brother, their age was only 3 years different. At that time General Virendra and his brother were kidnapped by several enemies of the Aleister State.
When General Virendra wants to be killed, his brother comes and saves General Virendra. In front of his own eyes, General Virendra witnesses his younger brother die to save General Virendra's life.
"Sister, don't be sad and feel guilty. Please be a good leader for the sake of Aleister Country. I believe only you can lead the Aleister Country well. Sorry, I can't keep my promise to keep you company until you become a great General."
That sentence was the last sentence spoken by General Virendra's younger brother. The sentence that made General Virendra grow up to be a great General who was notoriously loud and decisive. General Virendra kept his promise to be the leader of the Aleister State good for the sake of his younger brother.

"What's wrong?" ask Venus when she sees General Virendra's face that looks moody.
"I only remember my sister" replied General Virendra cirih.
Venus smiled soothingly, hugging General Virendra tightly trying to make her husband calm.
"He must be happy there, seeing the brother he loved succeed in becoming a great great General."
General Virendra was silent, returning Venus' embrace tightly. Over the years General Virendra learned to forget his dark past.
In the early years of his sister's death it was hard. General Virendra is so secretive, doesn't interact much with others and always blames himself. He escapes from the palace and meets Venus.
That was the beginning where General Virendra began to bury his past. General Virendra felt he had to become a great General in addition to keeping his promise to his sister, he also wanted to protect Venus.
"It feels so painful" General Virendra mumbled softly.
"Had he not sacrificed his life then, perhaps he would have stood here. Become a great General and lead the Aleister State."
Venus sighed looking at the eyes of General Virendra who felt so guilty. That look managed to hurt Venus, it felt very sad.
"Vir, everything that has happened there is a destiny that has been outlined by God. Like it or not, it's all the way we have to go. You know exactly how much pain I feel about losing both my parents. I was disappointed and wanted to blame God, but seeing where I was standing right now managed to wake me up. That every girl that God does not ordain must be the best for His servant."
General Virendra closed his eyes, soaking in the warm embrace of Venus trying to calm his heart.
What Venus says is true, everything that happens in life is the destiny of God. Whatever it is, we have to get through it.
"If only you had sacrificed your life and your brother standing here. Maybe, he won't be as tough as you. Vir, you're the heir and everyone knows that, you think when your sister takes your place it's gonna be easy? No. .. everyone will blame your sister, make her a scapegoat for feeling she wants to take your position."
"Yes, you're right. The throne is poison to every heir. I lost my brother and drowned in a pool of guilt, but I could still survive. I can't imagine if he's the one in my position."
General Virendra glared at the thought of how hard it is to be a leader. What Venus says is true, if she sacrifices, she will live in regret and be hated by many.
"All is God's destiny. I believe you're standing here because your sister believes you're more capable and more resilient. For that, teach Varest like you. Let him grow as strong as you are, so that no one can hurt him."
General Virendra smiled warmly and promised that Varest would be a better leader than him.
Varest will grow up with a firm upbringing from her and a loving upbringing from Venus. His son will become a great great General in the future.
