Kian just cleaned up the dirty dishes. He returns to the living room and finds Arkan sleeping leaning against the wall. Several times his head fell down and then straightened again.

Is he sleeping again? Didn't he sleep in the car?

Kian took a pillow in the room and laid Arkan down slowly. He let the man sleep. Maybe Sam will pick her up in a minute, Kian thought. Then he intends to go to the rice field, looking for a conch for his ducks. Although her parents told her to rest, Kian refused. He could not wait to play in the fields. He hasn't done it in a long time.

He left with his younger brother, Didi. They walk because the rice fields are not far from their homes. While carrying buckets and snacks, Kian hummed along the way.

On the way, Kian meets Arya, his childhood friend and best friend in the village.

"KIDS!!!!"

"YES!!!!"

They call each other. Seeing the arrival of Kian, Arya who was splitting wood immediately ran up to him. Leaving the axe and the wood lying on the ground.

"When did you come?" arya asked with a happy smile.

For Arya, now Kian looks much prettier before he leaves to wander. Kian who now looks like a tough adult woman. Although in the past, Kian was famous as a tough girl but now she looks more charming as a mature woman.

"Where are you going to take the bucket?" arya asked after noticing the bucket Kian had brought.

"You're looking for a conch. Wanna come?" tawar Kian's.

As fast as lightning, Arya immediately nodded. "Come on!"

Finally the three of them went to the rice fields together. Arya carrying the bucket Kian carried while telling a long story about life in the village after Kian left.

In the past, Kian and Arya often went to the rice fields together. They always take turns accompanying each other when looking for a snail or just playing there. After Kian decided to migrate to the Capital, Arya rarely wanted to be sent to the rice fields. Almost never even. Whenever her parents told her to, Arya always had a reason to reject her. Because every time he went there, a shadow of Kian always appeared in his head. Arya misses Kian, she loses a meaningful figure in her life after the girl leaves. Now, after Kian returned, without being told he was very excited about accompanying the girl again.

Kian, Arya and Didi had already collected a snail almost half a bucket. Then they took a break. The heat of the sun was already very stinging in the middle of a broad day like this. While sheltering in the hut, they enjoyed the snacks that Kian brought earlier.

"KID KIANNN!!!" I heard someone calling Kian's name. The three of them turned their heads, it was Ayu Kian's sister number two who had just called him. Kian narrowed his eyes to see someone who came with Ayu and Angga.

The Flashback

Arkan flicked his suit because he felt stifled. He opened his eyes and realized he was asleep on the mat. Looking at the pillow that had just propped up his head, Arkan immediately searched for Kian's whereabouts.

"Assalammualaikum!" There was a sound of greeting from outside the house.

A girl and a boy dressed in white gray just walked in. Arkan and the two teenagers looked at each other. They look equally confused. Then she came from the kitchen and welcomed the two teenagers.

"Ehhh you're home" said Mother. Then it was touched by the two children.

"Who is that, ma'am?" ask the girl.

"Ohh that's Kak Kian's boss. He came with your brother."

"Aren't you coming home, ma'am?" ask the two boys at the same time. Their faces look very happy.

"Yes" replied Mother softly. Then I looked at Arkan. "Son Arkan, know these Kian's sisters. Ayu and Angga." Mom tells Ayu and Angga to shake Arkan. Then the two of them headed to the room to change school uniforms.

"Where are you, ma'am?" ask Arkan. He looked here and there but could not find the girl.

"Ohh he went to the same rice field Didi earlier," replied the mother. Afterwards the middle-aged woman returned to the kitchen.

Ayu had just walked out of the room after changing into clothes. Then Arkan approached her.

"Yes, what's wrong?"

God fucking. I was called Om again. I look like Om-Om!

"Don't call Om, just call Brother Arkan."

"Oh yeah, what's up, Arkan?" Ayu looks shy. Honestly, he was fascinated to see Arkan's good looks.

"Please take me to the rice field!" arkan pinta.

"But Brother, I want to eat first!" ayu replied while holding her stomach.

"alright. After eating take me there!"

Ayu and Angga had lunch together. Today because of Kian's return, I cooked a good meal. So they both look pretty bad. Arkan went back and forth to them and asked them to quickly finish their meal. Until Ayu and Angga look at each other. What the hell is wrong with that guy!.

Finally after being hunted, Ayu invites Angga to drive Arkan to the rice field. Otherwise the man would continue to whine shamelessly.

Flashback off

Arkan looked at the man with Kian. He was not happy to see another man close to his woman.

"Who is he?" ask Arkan cynically.

He turned towards Arkan. "Oh, he's Arya, my friend."

"Ck. I don't know how many men you call your friends" Arkan murmured softly.

"What?" ask Kian. He did not hear Arkan's murmur.

"It's nothing!" answer Arkan ketus.

Shrugged his shoulders no matter what. But Arya knew the man was jealous. Like her jealous self when she found out Kian was coming home with another man. Arya has loved Kian for a long time. But the girl only considered him a friend. Arya is afraid that if she confesses her feelings to Kian, the girl will stay away from her because she feels uncomfortable. So, it's better if Arya harbors her own feelings instead of losing Kian.

The sun is not too hot. They gathered back snails along the outskirts of the rice field. Arkan who did not know to know also followed Kian behind. He only saw Kian and the others gathering the small shelled beast. Arkan himself did not come to collect, he felt amused and disgusted to see the beast. Especially if you get into a field full of mud, Arkan shuddered himself.

Arkan just stared at Kian who kept laughing. The girl looks happy even though half her body is covered with mud. Seeing the laughter of Kian who was impressed off, Arkan also felt happy. He had never seen Kian so happy.

"Brukkk."

Noticing his steps, Arkan suddenly slipped. He plumbed into a mud pit. His entire body was covered in mud from head to toe. Even his face was barely visible.

"Mahaha." The sound of laughter rang out in the middle of the rice field. Kian and the others looked up at Arkan's expression. The man looked shocked to see his body bathed in mud.

"Damn!" upset ass.

Arkan left the place feeling annoyed. He wanted to go back home to clean himself up. However, halfway he found a small river. The water looks clear. He thought of rinsing his body first with that water.

"Where is your boss?" ask Arya.

"At the very most he went home" replied Kian casually.

After the bucket they were filled with snails. They're back home. Then put the bucket into the cage, and then boiled as duck food. He cleaned himself up by taking a shower for half an hour. Then he came out and rubbed his wet hair.

"Where is Arkan, Kian?" ask mother. The woman does not see Arkan coming home with Kian and his sisters

"Lho, hasn't he come home since, ma'am?" answer is confused. Because Arkan had already left the rice field first.

"No Kian. I didn't see her coming home."

Hearing Mom's answer, Kian immediately threw his towel. He rushed back to the rice field with a flashlight. Because it's getting dark.

"SIR ARKANN!!!" yell Kian. He searched for the man while continuing down the paddy field. Starting from the place they came to surround other places.

It was getting darker, the flashlight that Kian was carrying almost died. He starts to panic when Arkan has not yet found him. I worry if something happens to that guy. While still walking, Kian continued to shout at the man's name. Hoping Arkan would.

Mr Arkan, where are you anyway?

Walking down the riverbank, suddenly his leg hit something. He was surprised to see Arkan lying on the edge of the river.

The girl was just fixated, feeling Arkan's trembling body. Arkan finally regained his senses and let go of his embrace slowly.

"Are you okay?" kian asked after Arkan looked a little calm.

"I, I saw the beast curling there." Arkan pointed at something with a glance at his eyes. He did not dare to look at it directly.

"Binatang? Melingkar? Apa kau baru saja melihat ular?" tanya Kian sambil menyenteri tempat yang dimaksud Arkan.

Arkan nodded. "Yes." Yeah."

Smiling to hear it. It was unexpected that the arrogant man who seemed ferocious was afraid of snakes. "He's gone. Let's go home!" take Kian with you while helping Arkan stand up.

They finally came home. Along the way, Arkan continued to hold onto Kian's hand tightly. The girl just let him, she felt that the man still felt terrified.

Ahh it turns out she's not as bad as I thought.
