The car drove fast through the streets. There was no conversation between the passengers. All quiet. What was heard was the sound of other vehicles penetrating the car wall.
Kian still put on his sour face, from earlier he just stared out the window. With a blank look, his mind floated somewhere.
Arkan glanced at him from the upper rearview mirror. He wanted to apologize, but his tongue was sore. Feels difficult. Finally he just let the guilt eat away at him.
The driver followed Kian's directions, until they finally arrived in front of a house . Open the car door before the driver opens it. He went inside the house without saying anything. Not intending to say thank you. Arkan himself has not had time to say his apology. Seeing that Kian was really upset, Arkan chose to let him. Maybe tomorrow I'll apologize to her, Inner Arkan.
Seeing someone escort Kian, Aunt Sumi came out to meet him.
"Thank you for dropping off, Kian!" said Aunt Sumi kindly.
"Yeah. Is it mom... is it her mother?" ask Arkan curiously.
"No, I'm his aunt. Kian's parents are in the village." Aunt Sumi replied.
"Ooh.." Arkan nodded in understanding. "Then, excuse me, Auntie!" After saying goodbye, they left the yard. Leave Aunt Sumi who is still standing.
How handsome that kid is! Why can he deliver Kian huh?
Aunt Sumi smiled faintly considering Arkan's handsome face. Look, how women who have aged until fascinated to see the good looks. But Kian actually called the man a madman, a crazy jerk, a wild lion or whatever he wanted. Not at all interested in Arkan's good looks. To Kian, the man's good looks were like a mask. Just to cover up the bad.
He threw himself on the bed. He was asleep in his sleep. She didn't even hear Aunt Sumi's question about the man who just drove her. Seeing Kian's behavior, the middle-aged woman could only shake her head.
"Let him rest first. Looks like she's not feeling well" muttered Aunt Sumi. He also continued cooking for dinner.
It was late in the afternoon, the sun had returned to the western horizon. Leave the twilight that looks beautiful with its light.
Not wanting to linger, Rendy rushed home. He brought supplies and a mobile phone Kian left in the break room earlier. He hurried down from the elevator, towards the parking lot. Turn on the motor and run it down the street. He continued to overtake the vehicle in front of him, in order to quickly get to where Kian was. He barely broke through the red light and put himself in danger. His mind was afraid to immediately meet with Kian.
Because of his shrewdness overtaking, it did not take long he had arrived in front of Aunt Sumi's house.
"Assalammualaikum, excuse me!" said Rendy called the residents of the house.
"Wa'alaikumusalam's chat. Find who?" ask Aunt Sumi confused. He felt he did not know the man.
"Well, Auntie?"
"So. Are you ready, huh??" Aunt Sumi looks curious. Why is today the home of the arrival of handsome men.
"I'm his office friend,"
"Ooh his office friend. Come on in!" take Aunt Sumi along while directing Rendy to the living room. "He's not feeling well, so he's just lying down from earlier this afternoon. Please sit down!"
"Thank you, Auntie!" Rendy sat on the living room couch. Waiting for Aunt to call Kian out of her room.
Out of the room with a lethargic face. Before going out, he had time to tidy up his disheveled hair. Although not feeling well does not mean the appearance can be messy, right? Especially in front of Rendy, ashamed!
"Sister Rendy," said Kian first. He sat next to Rendy. Little apart. "What do you want to drink?"
"No need to bother. I'm just here to drop this off." He handed over his box and his cell phone.
"Have you eaten?" Rendy tried to make sure. Because as far as he knows, Kian did not eat anything at all during the lunch break.
Kian shakes.
"Let's buy chicken porridge in front of the complex!" take Rendy. His trademark smile was etched on his face. A smile that can always make you melt.
"Hhmm come!" Kian nodded quickly. His face turned a little cheerful. "So Brother, I took the same jacket hat first."
Rendy nodded in a smile. A few minutes later Kian came out of his room, asking Aunt Sumi for permission. The middle-aged woman had just finished cleaning the kitchen. He agreed when Kian asked for permission to leave. Reminds me not to go home too late. Kian nodded in understanding. After getting permission, they left.
Chicken porridge in front of the complex is indeed one of Kian's favorites, he prefers chicken porridge here than anywhere else. Especially if he is not feeling well like this, Kian immediately wants it.
And lucky, this time he ate with the person he liked. Imagine it, never even.
"Say your aunt isn't feeling well, is she?" asked Rendy, as they were waiting for the porridge to be prepared.
"Yes a little, brother. But now it's good," said Kian.
"Are you okay?" I don't know why Rendy felt something was happening to Kian.
"Yes, Brother. I'm fine."
If I tell you the truth, it will only make Brother Rendy more anxious. Especially if it's because of that crazy guy. I better keep it to myself.
A glimpse of the incident this afternoon appeared in his memory. Mind-blowing. But immediately brushed aside as a plate of chicken porridge came before him. Piles of chicken, cakwe, soy, celery leaves, fried onions and crackers, plus a little syrup of soy sauce really uploads the taste. Finished reading the meal prayer, without ba-bi-bu Kian directly eating it. Something that disturbed his mind disappeared instantly. That's how Kian, he easily forgot his heartache when faced with delicious food.
Euhmmm delicious!
Rendy only smiled when she saw Kian's adorable behavior. He even took the chicken from his plate and moved it to Kian's plate.
He turned to Rendy with a face of disbelief.
"Eat!" he said with a smile.
It immediately widened his smile. "Thank you, brother!"
"Hemmm." nodded the man.
No, he can make people melt the most!
At the end of the road, there's a car parked there. The person inside stared fretfully, noticing the two human figures throwing smiles at each other. The package he was holding, squeezed strong. Until it spills in the bag. Arkan's intention to visit Kian, he paused.
"We're home!" tell Arkan to the driver.
"Good, Sir." The driver drove the car away from the housing complex.
Arkan finally chose to go home. Letting the two laugh at each other. While his chest hurts.
