The day that Natasha and Adikusuma's family were waiting for arrived. One week ago, the court received dossiers for Bhara's adoption. And today is the trial schedule for Johnathan and Natasya as prospective foster parents.

Johnathan and Natasha are ready outside the courtroom. They were both accompanied by Hendry who now switched roles to become their lawyer. But now, the lawyer and their father are going to see the judge.

"Are you ready, huh?" johnathan asked Natasha.

"I'm so excited, Brother John," Natasya replied in an anxious tone.

Johnathan touched Natasha's shoulder slowly, "quiet down, Natasha. Nothing to worry about, everything will be fine. We're gonna make it in this court."

Natasya looked up and looked into Johnathan's eyes. His heart felt calm when he saw Johnathan was also looking at him as if giving strength.

"Father! Mama!"

The two of them turned their heads when they heard the shrill screams of a very familiar little boy. It was Bhara who was in the arms of a caretaker, as well as the mother of the parlour who was walking next to him.

"Bahara!" exclamation Natasya.

Natasya immediately took over Bhara's body from the caretaker's arms.

"Bunda said, later the gap in the cini, Bhala came home with papa cama mama," said the boy eagerly.

Johnathan and Natasya smile at Bhara's words.

"Yes, honey, that's right," said Johnathan, "Bhara kept praying, so that it would be smooth and Bhara could go home with papa and mama."

Bhara nodded enthusiastically, "okay, Pa."

Not long after, one of the court officials approached them.

"Excuse me, Mr. Johnathan, Mrs Natasha, the trial is about to begin. Please enter the room now" said the officer.

"Oh, well, sir," replied Johnathan, then the man turned to Natasha, "let's go in."

After a nod by Natasya, they entered the courtroom and sat down at the designated place.

A few minutes later, someone in charge of the court protocol announced that a panel of judges would enter the chamber.

"The magistrate entered the courtroom, the audience was asked to stand."

Everyone in the room stood in honor of the judge. Then, the judges sat in his place, followed by everyone.

"South Jakarta state court hearing, which examined civil case number 45/Pdt.P/2023/PN Jkt.Sel on behalf of Johnathan Adikusuma and Natasha Fernandez on Thursday, July 13, 2023 was declared open and open to the public," said the presiding judge opened the hearing.

Geck... Geck... Geck...

The sound of hammering three times indicates that the trial is officially opened. Natasya took a deep breath and exhaled it to neutralize the increasingly irregular heartbeat. Johnathan, who was sitting next to Natasha, saw his wife nervous, taking the initiative to hold her palm.

Natasya whose palm was clasped by Johnathan immediately turned in surprise. But a second later, he smiled as he saw Johnathan smiling gently at him.

"Relax Natasha, everything will go smoothly" whispered Johnathan.

They returned to concentration looking at the judge.

The trial began. After the application has been read, it is time for the judge to examine and examine the evidence.

The first is the evidence of the letter. For the emergency files there is absolutely no problem because Hendry has taken care of everything well.

Then, proceed with the examination of prospective adoptive parents and witnesses.

"Brother Johnathan and sister Natasha. You two are here to apply for the appointment of a child who does not have a birth certificate named Bhara. Right?"

"Yes, Your Majesty."

"We're ready, Your Majesty."

"Then, I'll check the witness first. For the applicant's lawyer, is it ready to present a witness?"

"Ready, Your Highness," replied Hendry.

After that, the first witness was called in for questioning. The witness was the mother of the parlor. The woman is welcome to sit on the examination chair. After reciting the vow, the witness is ready to be questioned.

"Well, with Heni Handayani's brother, right?"

"Right, Your Majesty," replied the mother of the parlor.

"Can you describe your position or job related to this court process?" ask judge.

"I am the caretaker of the orphanage where Bhara was treated all this time, Your Majesty."

"Then, does Heni's brother know one or both of the petitioners?"

The mother of the parlour nodded her head, "yes, Your Majesty. I know them. They always visit the orphanage and play with Bhara. Moreover, Ms. Natasya, she and Bhara have loved each other, even from before Bhara was taken to the orphanage."

The judges received testimony from the mother of the parlour. Then, the trial continued by presenting several other witnesses.

"Sir Natasya was the one who first discovered Bhara when the boy got lost at the airport. He was also the one who took care of Bhara for about a week before the police finally had to hand the child over to the orphanage" said the police officer who had taken care of Bhara's loss.

"Sir Johnathan is a good doctor. He helped Bhara when the child was in an accident and had to be hospitalized" another caretaker said.

"Natasha loved Bhara very much. She is a busy student, but still wants to take Bhara to campus and drop him off to daycare on campus. I could see he was really willing to sacrifice for Bhara" the statement from the campus's daycare steward's mother said.

After the examination of the evidence letter and witnesses was completed, the judges deliberated briefly.

"We will postpone the trial for an hour, we will consider the verdict first."

'God! An hour? Very long anyway.' Inner Natasya who was impatient.

The trial was temporarily halted. After the judges left the courtroom, some people went out for a break.

"Hows it? You guys still nervous?" hendry asked his son and daughter-in-law.

"Of course, Dad," replied Johnathan, "we couldn't help but be nervous before Bhara was actually officially our son."

"Natasha," said Hendry, "you can while studying in this trial directly as a law student."

Natasya chuckled, "yes, Dad, this can add to my experience."

Then, the three of them turned their heads towards Bhara who was running small towards them. The boy immediately rushed at Natasha and leaned on her mother's thigh.

"Mama, what's the old mace?" ask Bhara lethargic.

Natasya smiled wryly, "still a while, dear. Wh why? Bhara's tired, huh?"

Bhara nodded her head.

"Bhara went home once the mother went to the orphanage, later when it was finished, papa and mama picked up Bhara again," said Natasya.

Bhara shook his head, "don't want to, Bhala wants to be here aja waiting for papa cama mama."

Finally, Bhara remained there following the trial until it was over. Although while drowsy in the lap of the mother of the orphanage. An hour later, the judge re-entered the room for a reading of the verdict.
