Chapter 7: Easter Eggs
“So many items... Very little space!”
Jiang Fei clutched his head, staring at his overloaded inventory. As he glanced at the inventory of the ring, he noticed that the scar of the ring, or rather, the experience bar, no longer moved that fast! In fact, it only went up 10%!
“What's up? Barely move!”
Jiang Fei remembered how quickly he leveled up the first time.
“Does it get much less experience than random ETC item now?” Jiang Fei thought to himself.

Jiang Fei took out a long-used white-grade dagger and placed it in the inventory red slot of the ring.

Jiang Fei sighed. Obviously, that simple experiment came to fruition. After gaining levels, the ring had developed a much more classy appetite for food.
Back in the Beginner Village, Jiang Fei went to the nearest NPC he could find and sold all his trash. After which, he returned to the grinding zone and started practicing. Since monsters were only Level 7 or Level 8, experience points per monster were extremely low for Jiang Fei, who was already Level 9.
Although the monsters available there were of a lower level, they were quite far from the village, meaning that after the abrasive trio from before, they were quite far from the village, no one else would come to interrupt his grinding session. Of course, it meant that Jiang Fei was now free to fight monsters and snatch all experience points alone.
“Ding! You killed Fork-Wielding Cat. Earn 50 Experience Points.”
“MEOW!”
As Jiang Fei was collecting the loot, he heard an incredible roar.
“Ding! You've killed over 500 Cats Using Forks. To that end, the Boss himself has departed to your head!”

Jiang Fei was surprised.
This is the spawning of a mini boss, triggered by the killing of a certain number of monsters. It was basically a slightly larger version of that specific monster. Players usually jump over the training ground after reaching a certain level. Hence, they rarely killed that many monsters, and besides, triggered the appearance of mini bosses. Nobody in their right mind would spend a lot of time in a fixed location to grind. That is why no other player has experienced such a scenario.
Following the roar sound, Jiang Fei saw a larger version of the Fork-Hielding Cat. It was at least three times larger than a normal monster. Even the fork in his claws was bigger than usual! AND SHINE AT IT TOO! Someone might not want to poke his tail…

In the game, monsters are categorized in three tiers: Normal, Elite, and Advanced Elite. Bosses, on the other hand, have four tiers; Rare Elite, Leader, Master, and Great Lord. Elite Rare is not the real boss. They were more of Easter eggs for the players. They were only slightly stronger than Normal monsters, yet weaker than Elite monsters of the same level. You can call them Easter eggs because they have a 100% drop rate from Green equipment!
The leader level and higher Boss level were the real ones. Any boss could easily step on an Advanced Elite level monster of the same level. Players must form a complete group for their best organization to defeat any boss.
When Jiang Fei saw the mini-boss laying eggs, contrary to how the average player would immediately escape, he was overjoyed. It is the Chinese New Year! Free Red envelopes!
“Hehe! Sample my sword, motherfucker!”
Jiang Fei jumped forward and brandished his sword.

As expected, the Easter egg boss was weak. Even with the almost complete White level equipment, Jiang Fei had over 300 Health Points. It was less than half of a mini-boss, but he attacked even harder! The outcome of this battle was obvious!

Jiang Fei cheered. The experience points gained from not-so-powerful mini bosses were at least seven times more than ordinary Fork-User Cats!

Jiang Fei had just found another Green level equipment.

Jiang Fei was very happy. The most commonly found drop equipment is Chest protector, Pants, and Weapons, while others have a lower drop rate. Especially boots, as they carry unique attributes.
In the game, the weapon and five accessories have properties that enhance the attack. The five accessories that can be used are a necklace, two rings, and two accessories. The other six equipment slots that contribute to defense are the head, body, arms, wrists, legs, and shoulders. Shoes and robes also have special attributes. Shoes can increase movement speed and jumping ability. On the other hand, robes come with their own special basic skill package!
After putting on the boots, Jiang Fei could feel himself walking faster than usual! 3 Meters per second is pretty fast, even for a game. Especially since he is in a very realistic game! Jiang Fei was actually moving twice as fast as before! The surprise doesn't stop there! Jiang Fei's leap height also increased by one meter! Jiang Fei could now reach new heights, literally!
“Good!” Jiang Fei was very excited. It was just a pair of boots, but Jiang Fei was very happy. Jiang Fei returned to his work with renewed vigor.
